She’s ruined what could have been a nice gesture by not just doing it anonymously and feeling the need to publish the exact figures, which feels particularly crass as I’m just seeing it as her showing off that she can afford to donate £20k when most people are sitting in cold houses wondering how to pay for the next food shop.

It’s not like she’s using it, so what’s the freaking point of mentioning it all the time. It doesn’t set her apart from her peers if she just does what the rest of them do

I love the privilege of being able to work out (at home!) at (near as damnit) 10am, and call it 'waking herself up'. Some of us have been up (amnd working) for hours already Vic

Victoria really tries too hard to scream into the world how perfect her life is. Sure, this is the age of social media, where anyone can post about anything, everything, and nothing at the same time.

For my master's degree internship, I got assigned to an adult therapy center- and my god, almost half of the clientele there are social media personalities here in my home country. The majority of them are being chased by the tax center here due to underpaying their taxes, unable to cope with the pressure (they subconsciously made for themselves), and the fact that most of them live alone (one of them confessed her 'loving bf' is actually an escort). Most of them did not earn a degree, nor are financially literate, so they have dug themselves a hole they have dug too deep.

I feel that Vic, deep down is clamoring for the life she once had. A free trip here, a fashion show there, and the fact that she stays at home for short periods of time. Now she's literally locked herself in her attic and only comes out if someone pays for her to be there.

She literally cannot afford to be happy. She can win the lottery tomorrow, but nothing changes. She's deeply unhappy, and no Peloton workout nor free trip is gonna solve that. She really needs to pay for a therapist, since she is so lost, and is looking even ridiculous day by day. I wonder if even Alex (roommate) is even noting her drastic changes. She changed so much after getting married and moving to Deanshanger.

I was just about to say the same thing…10am and still not at her office, desk, attic working, filming getting dressed. I’m fairly certain now she starts work around noon every day….by the time she finishes, showers, cakes on her make up, hair, etc. girl is strolling into “the office” at LUNCH TIME. Boss lady!

I think the donation is a kind gesture and more than a lot of people would do in the circumstances.

It's kind of nice for her to donate but I'm not patting her on the back for it.

Her donation was from selling bag worth thousands that she received for free. It's actually illegal to profit off of PR freebies (not that that has stopped her before) so the charitable donation is really the only way to for her to go. So largely -- the money donated is from her followers, not her... however she'll receive the tax write-off.
