I just use whatever is on offer but I like Aussie and John Freida Frizz Ease. Been using the Frizz Ease hair mask during lockdown which cost £5 and I think it's really good. My hairdresser is always trying to peddle Olapex at me but I can't justify £20+ a bottle on shampoo/conditioner!

I usually use Oribe Gold Lust too, I only wash my hair twice a week so it lasts. The smell is absolutely divine.

I have however had to switch to Nioxin, not sure if everything going on the is causing it but my hair has been shedding more than usual.
Love the minty smell of Nioxin.

I have highlighted hair and use herbal essences, it's the best I've ever used. My hairdresser actually asked if I was using any of the salon-type as she couldn't believe how excellent condition my hair was in. I also only straighten once a week and try to avoid using heat as much as possible! Think it's only around £2?
Omg which one do you use please? I have highlighted hair too.

I use Aveda and have done for 20+ years.

I usually ask for it for my birthday and Christmas as it lasts ages. If I do have to buy it, I use Look Fantastic for the discounts.

I’ve found for my scalp the only thing I can use without aggravating it is T-gel, this is after many prescriptions & expensive bottles of specialist shampoos! Then I buy any big bottle of conditioner I see for dry hair, just to use in my ends.
Have you tried Nizoral shampoo? I have a sensitive scalp and as soon as I feel it getting agitated, I wash with Nizoral and it’s usually fine for a couple months! Had to use it more frequently when I first used it though.

So I’m stuck in a bit of a rut with my shampoo and conditioner and wondering whether I REALLY need the expensive stuff? For reference I currently use bumble and bumble which is over £20 a bottle. I’m trying to be more conscious of spending in corona times and wondering if I should be spending more on better shampoo or a cheap shampoo and expensive conditioner. What works for you all? Home brand? Tell me everything!
I use wella ivigo shampoo and conditioner (smells gorgeous, and great for hair/ keeping colour fresh)

they come in litre bottles and it’s around the £30 mark for them both.

I only wash my hair a couple of times a week, and I’ve still got some left after buying the last lot in October as you only need a small bit each time

xxx

Yes I used to use Elvive shampoo and conditioner but the shampoo felt like it never cleaned my hair so now I use Head and shoulders shampoo and elvive conditioner. I used to use Pantene but they changed it and it made my head itchy. Ive also used Kerastase which I like.
Pantene made my head itchy! Does the head and shoulders strip colour from your hair?

I normally try to use the red one which I think is specific to colored hair but I'm also using the blue one at the moment because that's all I could find in the shop at the time!

Does anyone know how to successfully use coconut oil as a hair conditioning treatment without the results looking like you've dipped your head in an oil slick?

I really like Happy Naturals. You can get it from Sainsbury’s for £2.50 when it’s on offer. It’s SLS/paraben free too. I use Fudge purple shampoo every few weeks to get rid of any yellow tones as I have blonde highlights.

I bought the banana shampoo and conditioner from the Body Shop after seeing all the positive reviews, but I'm really not impressed. I think it's made my hair drier! 😕
I tried the banana shampoo and conditioner years ago and whatever the hell it did it felt like my scalp was on fire.

I do use the ginger shampoo from the body shop and it’s wonderful.

On a similar note dry shampoo. Any recommendations? Not Batiste 🤢 I saw brad Mondo recommend a foam one but can't remember the name. Just seen pantene do a new foam though
