Apologies if I am rehashing topics discussed 100 times already, but I couldn't find it. Does anyone think that Meghan came up with the whole "secret wedding" storyline based on Grace Kelly's experience? She had a small private civil ceremony at the palace throne room prior to the huge public church wedding a day or so later. She reportedly changed out of her wedding suit immediately after so she was not photographed by the press in it, as the public wedding festivities continued on. She and her prince later commented on how the press intrusion of the extensive wedding traditions of Monaco made it an exhausting public spectacle, and they wished the could have kept it small and private.

The difference is that the laws of Monaco required both the private and public ceremonies, whereas it is specifically outlawed in England. Not to mention Meghan has been accused of demanding the huge spectacle wedding (more expensive than Kate and Will's), inviting celebrities she had never even met, when it wasn't ever required, or even expected, for "the spare" in the past (and his bride who had been around the block a few times already). Grace Kelly actually had to pay millions out of her own pocket via a dowry for that multi-day royal wedding she was required to have by law. Who did Meghan say forced her to have her spectacle wedding and why?

Do you think Meghan was worried they would have to pay the millions back to taxpayers after bolting (like the Frogmore reno), and this was her way of trying to get the public to believe she was forced into the pomp and circumstance like Grace Kelly? Mistakingly thinking the private Monaco wedding (virtually unknown to the public) was "secret" and "just for them"? I know she is obviously imitating Diana in her major storylines, but I assume she also feels like she is Grace Kelly, since they were both employed as actors when they married their princes.

IF true this woman doesn't have an original bone in her body. She's copying Diana, she stole the passport story from Charlene and now Grace Kelly?

Back in 2015, Omid Scobie wrote a piece on Angelina Jolie's 'secret wedding'. Meghan thinks she's the next incarnation of Angelina, so did they stick in a 'secret wedding' story thinking it was a bit of Brangelina celebrity cos-play? Maybe this was all just stupidity, not blackmail?

That said, I keep thinking if the wedding ceremony answer was straightforward, Lambeth Palace would have made a short, simple comment on the record. Makes me think there's something not quite right here about what the Archbish was persuaded to do by La Markle. He was very noticeably infatuated by her...
The Archbish has totally gone down in my estimation over the past year. Making all the churches close for COVID when most have so few members they could easily socially distance. And at a time when the elderly and other lonely people really needed their church and their community. I thought better of him.

Who knows what the idiot did for Smeggy. And shame on him for not saying what it was. He's another knob in this whole shitshow.

‘avalanche of misinformation'?
Well H is definitely experienced in that field after all the out and out lies he and his “handler” spouted during their interview with the great gob Oprah.

Well of course he'd announce a new job today. If I was the RF I'd apply for a restraining order and get them banned from the UK as those two are seriously obsessed with the RF and can't even allow a family member some good publicity for a new baby. Instead of being disgusted I'm actually really embarrassed by him.

I really don't care about any of these made up jobs. They all sound so dull we won't hear much about them. And with any luck they'll keep him too busy (as if! but I dream) to cause mischief for the RF. Let him disappear up his own fundament spouting word salad to the gullible.

ETA but I agree, he is seriously embarrassing now. His obsession with the family he left behind doesn't suggest he's living his best life

I remember yesterday saying that the Royal Foundation / Heads Together would have to look at how much of their work Prince Chimpo would be 'borrowing' for his paymasters at BetterUP.

Prince Harry's statement about why he's joining BetterUp

First of all, I am really excited to be joining the BetterUp team and community! Thanks for having me.

I firmly believe that focusing on and prioritising our mental fitness unlocks potential and opportunity that we never knew we had inside of us. As the Royal Marine Commandos say, 'It's a state of mind.' We all have it in us.

Being attuned with your mind, and having a support structure around you, are critical to finding your own version of peak performance.

What I've learned in my own life is the power of transforming pain into purpose.

During my decade in the military, I learned that we don't just need to build physical resilience, but also mental resilience. And in the years since, my understanding of what resilience means — and how we can build it — has been shaped by the thousands of people and experts I've been fortunate to meet and learn from.

When I first met Alexi, we instantly recognised a shared passion for helping others realise their full potential. As our conversations continued, it became even more clear that we hold a similar philosophy on mental health: that we must proactively take care of our minds.

In addition to this shared philosophy, what caught my attention about BetterUp was that the company's mission to unlock the potential in people everywhere necessitates innovation, impact, and integrity. Their team has been delivering on that work for years. I was also impressed by the scale and opportunity for impact – the ability to change millions of people's lives for the better, through a combination of human connection, leading technology, and behavioural science.

I've personally found working with a BetterUp coach to be invaluable. I was matched with a truly awesome coach who has given me sound advice and a fresh perspective. And because we believe in strengthening our own mental fitness, our entire Archewell team also has access to BetterUp coaching.

As BetterUp's first Chief Impact Officer, my goal is to lift up critical dialogues around mental health, build supportive and compassionate communities, and foster an environment for honest and vulnerable conversations. And my hope is to help people develop their inner strength, resilience, and confidence.

In this new role, I'll be focused on four key areas:

  • Driving advocacy and awareness for mental fitness. We can and will elevate the global conversation around our mental health. What we're doing is about equipping people to thrive. Whether you're performing at the highest level, or want to get to the next level, or just want to get started, it's all about having the specialised resources, preparation, and human connection to back you up — whatever the challenge.
  • Guiding BetterUp's social mission and impact to bring the science of peak performance and human potential into the hands of people worldwide.
  • Influencing the vision of BetterUp's platform, community, and member experience. I'm excited to help shape their already extensive library with content and resources on mental fitness and to share new stories and voices. To start, I've invited BetterUp to work with 'Peak State: Mental Fitness', a platform I helped establish which provides practical online tools to enhance our mental fitness.
  • Expanding BetterUp's global community of thought leadership, coaches, customers, and members through outreach and strategic planning.
Self-optimisation is not about fixing something that's broken. It's about becoming the best version of ourselves, with whatever life throws at us — someone who is ready for the next challenge and can meet setbacks with courage, confidence, and self-awareness.

This is what BetterUp is making possible, and I look forward to being on this journey with you.

Join the community to get access to insights, advice, and tools on reaching your true potential, and be the first to learn about new content and programmes on mental fitness and resilience that I'll be developing.

I've just been looking into Information Disorder.
Apparently :
.......
'The term 'fake news' is woefully inadequate to effectively capture the complexity of the phenomenon of information pollution, not to mention that it is increasingly becoming politicised.
The report therefore introduces a new conceptual framework for examining information disorder, identifying the three different types: mis-, dis- and mal-information. The differences between these three types of information are described using the dimensions of harm and falseness:
Mis-information is when false information is shared, but no harm is meant.
Dis-information is when false information is knowingly shared to cause harm.
Mal-information is when genuine information is shared to cause harm, often by moving information designed to stay private into the public sphere.

Identifying Solutions
Lengthy fact-checking and debunking of false information may come too late. It may also not reach the intended audience because it is not liked and shared. There is an urgent need to understand the most effective formats for sparking curiosity and scepticism amongst audiences about the information they consume and the sources from which that information comes. The collapse of local journalism is viewed as an important contributor to the success of disinformation, as such campaigns grow much faster amongst marginalised communities who mistrust mainstream media.
In addition to its conceptual framework, the report provides a round-up of related research, reports and practical initiatives connected to the topic of information disorder, as well as filter bubbles and echo chambers, and contains thirty-five recommendations for governments, technology companies, media organisations and civil society. '
..................
So basically this is more of the Harkles crap on policing the internet and telling us all what to bloody think. No grown adult will be deemed clever enough to sift through information themselves and use their own critical judgement.

Maybe they should bloody well start with Scabies and his little echo chambers of cult stans?

So who are Peak State Mental Fitness? Founded by former Flight Lieutenant Nathan Jones in 2020, and formerly called HeadFit. This is Invictus chum Fl Lt Nathan Jones....

[/URL]

Also seems to be linked to that apparently random Australia announcement of a mental fitness toolkit called Peak Fortem that Harry was involved with a while ago.

Has Harry somehow flogged off the Royal Foundation's mental health toolkit to BetterUP?

That was tiring to read, what a word salad that is!
Driving advocacy and awareness for mental fitness - so not actually doing any real work just popping on to some zoom calls or speaking events, all of the online tools are already there!!!
Literally sounds like those weird seminars and events you pay hundreds of pounds for people to tell you how to be the 'best version of yourself' but actually it is just common sense

"Duchess of Cornwall says she's 'delighted' UK train companies will continue to provide free rail travel for those fleeing from domestic violence amid reports of rising levels of abuse during lockdown
Rail to Refuge is a joint initiative between rail companies and Women's Aid
The scheme provides free rail travel to those escaping domestic abuse
Camilla said she was 'delighted' UK train companies are extending scheme"

Now this is something that the clucking gruesome twosome wouldn't touch with a bargepole because: 1) it's an actual working plan that actually helps real people; 2) it's PR seems to in plain English, not jargon, waffle or - to be quite blunt about it - shite; 3) it isn't glamorous enough for them, after all it's a sodding train not a private jet being used duhhh 🙄

As an aside, I wasn't aware of this scheme. It's fantastic. Spread the news. Go Camilla 🙌
I absolutly love Camilla All the work she does to help victims of Domestic violence is Absolutly outstanding , She goes that extra mile everytime & you can see she is coming straight from the heart plain speaking none of this preachy woke word salad shyte .

“During my decade in the military,”

Ten years of being promoted beyond his capabilities, also being cosseted and protected in Afghanistan. Go on Harry, I dare you to ask REAL soldiers what they think of you! Remember when you ditched the Marines Memorial to pimp your beastly wife at the Disney première? H & M are charlatans!
