To sort of quote myself from the last thread, this is how I saw Prince Philip & the late Queen reacting to events from court yesterday:

Hazno's testimony really shows that he has arrested development stage of toddler tantrums - lying on the floor screaming that "it's not fair" - he blames everyone else for things that he doesn't like in his life - the press, his father, Camilla, his brother, the Palace the school, Sandhurst, the doctors, etc etc. He is unable to let any grudge or disappointment go

No mentally healthy person would be consumed by the most banal stories, like what he did for his 18th, over 20 years later and claim it causes him so much "distress" as to be comparable to an injury to be compensated

Mogg on GB news now talking to Michael Cole says H comment of blood stained fingers of press, is such an odd comment.
(I think she would've written that or told him to say it)

I’m off to my bed but for what it’s worth that twat does not deserve to win and the judge should hand him his ass on a plate! He produced no actual evidence and that’s all there is too it. He’s a whiny, arrogant, obnoxious no mark, married too a manipulative, attention seeking, over the hill crap actress. The pair of them need to bugger off and give our heads peace. Sick of their dramas.

And that angry conversations held over the phone can be easily overhead by people in the other room, staff working nearby - none of whom may like you and might also be happy to make a call for £££

I think it boils down to this. They are sorely afraid of being forgotten and so are now in the realms of remembering things that never happened.
Unfortunately for them, the rest of the world can remember quite clearly what happened.
We are not stupid.
And eventually they will still be forgotten.
Bad. Luck. Liars.
It is a hell of a way to be remembered. Whinging your life away in public. If Harry was ever capable of doing something good, he has ruined his chances to be a participant in meaningful endeavors. Who wants to deal with a person like this? You would be constantly looking over your shoulder and afraid to speak for fear of saying or doing the wrong thing. This is another reason why the courts have to slap him down now. He will continue this behavior as a public nuisance and menace.

Any Lawyers out there?

Is this a potential legal issue? Harry didn't instruct solicitors himself. He was approached by a barrister - who I do not believe usually works directly with the public who told him that he might have a case (I presume based on other clients who were already representing). Is this ethical for a barrister to approach a potential client directly? It adds to the impression that this is not Harry's case at all but the lawyers' case (they chose the cases, wrote much of Harry's statement, have fed him phrases about the public interest). Obviously from Sherborne's point of view it has made the case much more high profile and dramatic by adding a RF member to his case

Could this answer count against him with the judge that he was basically "invited to sue" by a King's Counsel rather than Harry approaching lawyers himself?
And how did the barrister find him?

did he hack his phone?

I'm puzzled that so many articles were written about Harold (and William) from 1996 when he was 11, about private stuff that should have stayed private. Green asked Harold if one article written about him aged 11 upset him, and did he remember it?
The glandular fever story and broken thumb were nobody's business, he was at school. It seems from Green's examination that PC's spin doctor Mark Bolland co-operated with NOTW about the drugs story in 2002 when Harold was 18.

There's no public interest justification, and reporting on minors like this was a betrayal. I can't imagine helping the press with briefings about my son.

I'm very behind on the thread but this is what's emerging for me and I don't understand why he and William weren't protected as youngsters. This has certainly played a big part in what's happening now. The articles about him from childhood were all negative and the image of him fixed for ever is a thick weak child who cheated to get in. All true, but he was under age. Why was it allowed? No Red Line here for the children.

So far, no hacking or eavesdropping, and though Harold is making a fool of himself he has also exposed how he and his brother were subject to media intrusion. Clever Green will trip the addled Stoat up with when exactly he had a mobile phone, but that is not the point. This is Harry's Hill that he will die on, it's not the children.
The difference between these children and yours or mine though is that these were children born into the monarchy and in direct line of succession and the public were interested and invested in what was published about them. I don’t agree with the press obtaining information or publishing articles which they had gained illicitly but it happened. Don’t forget his mother was well renowned for leaking stories herself, and his father, it may not have been directly about their children but it was the culture that existed and still does within the RF press office. When you delve into the case itself it clearly shows although Hairy had a great dislike for the press throughout his life, his decision to litigate at this stage in said life began in 2018, when the body blows about Meagain began. I’m of the opinion that as he has unravelled since his marriage all of this downfall is fuelling this vendetta and he is so far in now he will continue until he is a broken man. People have short memories. He’s a man now, with supposedly a family of his own. Not an 11 year old boy born into one of the most privileged positions there is. The children I feel sorry for are not 11 year old Harry or William. They are the neglected, starving, homeless and uncared for children throughout the country and indeed the world. Harry’s world is exactly that to him. We aren’t allowed in unless invited. Well if he chooses to let his dirty linen be aired in court then he has let us in. There’s nothing in his case that wasn’t already in the public domain and raked over time and again. He is an arrogant fool who played the court jester perfectly in my opinion.

Soooo ... how come he (or his representatives) issued a press release about a 'car chase' where nobody suffered any injury at all - life threatening or otherwise ???
So . . . anything that would get him sympathy = "In the Public Interest"

Anything pointing out what an over-privileged @rsehole he is = "Not In the Public Interest"

Seems about right.

Suspicious?

He does realise there's a newspaper based just down the road from KP, doesn't he? At the time their offices were home to both the Mail and the Evening Standard.

The office his Missus apparently paraded up and down in front of until they took pity on her and sent out a photographer.

Journos and photographers will be in and out of that building all day, and see stuff on Ken High St.

Does Sparry actually think he’s some kind of gladiator for the people?

I‘m not really up for him popping over here to tell me how shit our government is, when the US is hardly problem free! (Sorry American Tattlers!) He’s made tackling the press his raison d’etre but it’s utterly self-serving and selfish - he doesn’t like the fact that it has picked up on his bad behaviours throughout life and the out and out grifting, lying cuntery of him and the ILBW!

Fuck off tosser!

No TESSA we didnt need Sparrys political opinion
It had nothing to do with the court case or the evidence he was supposed to be supplying.
His political view isnt evidence
Of course hes left wing so Tessa agrees with him

What they both fail to realise is that socialism doesnt support monarchy so Harrys titles and cash would be gone overnight
