Not necessarily. From my experience of such 'fans', they can include anyone of any age from any walk of life. Though most have one thing in common - they're all looking to escape their real lives to some extent/living vicariously through their 'faves'. Whether bored housewives or depressed teenagers or rebels looking for a cause. That's what people like the Gruesomes exploit.
