Good morning, Tattlers!
I've woken up to a bright and sunny day, with predictions for clouds and winds chilly enough to cause a cold wave
It's actually lovely winter/autumn/spring weather!
Charles looks like he is coping well, it has been caught early, and Harry rushing to visit just seems so disingenuous..
I see those posts about how someone who got a diagnosis organised a gathering to tell all of their loved ones, but someone else "stole their thunder", usually with a surprise baby announcement (as in even OP didn't get a heads-up), often accompanied by that lovely sentiment "oh but our news lightened the mood/it's the circle of life - you'll die and we'll have a baby".
Those posts always make me wonder who these people are who (mostly accurately) think that so many people would care so much about their health status, and would provide them much-needed support, that they could so confidently organise such a gathering. And most of those people do care and rally around OP.
Unlike much of the general population, Sparry does have the free time and resources to rush to his father's side as soon as he was informed about the diagnosis (versus many of us needing to organise leave or funds, and having to wait to visit and provide support virtually). But even then there has to be something that drives that speed, that urgency, especially when it is essential to prevent widespread panic.
So what is it Sparry, why did you rush to London? Is the King more unwell than they are letting on? Or your Whingetome was a book of lies and you and your father share at least some love and affection? Or is it all for PR and money?
