If it is the same officer, she must be immediately suspended and I would be surprised if the result of an investigation was not to dismiss her, as you say. On the evidence I have seen, any attempt to keep her after the two incidents we have seen would be a serious error.

I’m a lesbian and not offended by someone saying I look like a lesbian or a lesbian looks like me or if someone said about another person “you look like SkippyDoo, who is a lesbian.” Certainly I don’t want autistic 16-year-olds arrested in their home for such an observation. This officer is evidently power mad and I’m sick of the police not getting their house in order.

in 2023 its time to bring back the idea of the look of the butch Lesbian and destigmatize it to stop butch leaning young girls getting bits chopped off or getting their voices wrecked and hair falling out from being told they are boys and need testosterone!

I was speaking with a therapist that specialised in sex-related trauma/relationship issues and she was talking about her work here in Ireland. She has private patients and also counsels sexual assault survivors through a charity, she was saying the private patients were increasingly teen boys aged 16-18 that were so porn saturated they were suffering from erectile dysfunction and could not have a sexual relationship a partner. Her work with the charity was increasingly teen girls 16-18 years old that had suffered internal injuries due to boyfriends wanting to re-enact what they saw in porn and had injured their girlfriends, in some cases these internal injuries saw young girls ending up using colostomy bag permanently. People everywhere are being destroyed by porn, it is everywhere, the normalization of violence in intimate relationships, the use of strangulation, has and will end up with more people dying, and all can be accessed at any time, any place by the phone in someone's pocket.

I’m watching BB with interest. I spotted Hallie straight away but was actually impressed that the VT and entrance speech didn’t mention trans at all. I thought this was just a young person who fancied going on Big Brother and who happened to be trans. Then it comes out about wanting to win the prize money to pay for surgery. I posted on the BB thread that people should check out this thread if they were interested, maybe some will get peaked.
My main point was that Hallie is little more than a child and yet has been on television discussing “her” genitalia and sexual experience (or lack thereof) for public consumption. People seem to believe the narrative that once the surgery is done she will be like any other young woman and go off to have whatever relations she fancies. It gave me the ick that they have a lack of understanding about the fact this will not be a real vagina and that all her problems won’t be solved by chopping off the old meat and two veg. I’m not explaining myself very well but I would hate it if that was my child on the screen with strangers being party to the most private parts of their life. You can’t blame the other contestants for being curious and asking pertinent questions, I just feel it is somewhat exploitative if the producers etc have known Hallie had such a desperate reason for going on.
As I say, I’m watching with interest because apart from a toe-curling gathering of people’s preferred pronouns there wasn’t a wave of attention poured out about it and call me cynical but I’m expecting there to be fallout from the lack of attention/interest because I just think she will start seeking affirmation of being stunning and brave if people aren’t appearing to be constantly in awe.

I'm pregnant again (yay!) and at my booking appointment my midwife asked for my preferred pronouns. I told her I don't have "preferred pronouns" and for her to write a note that the NHS should not be promoting gender ideology. She turned to me and said "I absolutely agree with you" which was nice because I braced myself for backlash

She also then asked "are you self-diagnosed with a mental disorder?" and I replied "are you asking me if I think I have a mental illness that has not been confirmed by a doctor?" to which she said she was and I was just in disbelief. People are assigning themselves mental illnesses to the point where the NHS now has to ask you if you've watched too many Tiktok videos and have now decided you have autism or ADHD.

Congratulations! (On your pregnancy AND your lack of self-disgnosed mental disorders! )

Don't worry, my midwife colleagues (London based, large variety of ages, nationalities and religions) all think this is just rubbish. We all know that "pregnant people" are always women, no exceptions. "Gender identity" is a ridiculous concept, you're either male or female, and if you're having a baby, then you're female. Even if you have short hair, don't own a dress and love only women, you're still female. We honestly don't care about your pronouns!

Your comment made me think of my dear Aunty and her experiences. She nursed men’s urology for years and looked after a lot of the first “sex change” patients as they were called back then. There were similar rules to access the surgery as there are now to get a GRC. She always found a clear divide between the AGPs and genuine dysphoric cases, telling by their choice of post-op wardrobe. The AGPs would bring in heels, lingerie and “sexy” outfits whereas the dysphoric group would bring comfy nighties, skirt suits/twinsets and comfortable slippers like a woman recovering from surgery would wear. Not sure what the point of my posting this is, I suppose I wonder how she would find things today if she still practiced.

I forget the topic, but I remember a post on here from a few years ago that has always stuck with me. The poster said she knew a headteacher who had to give an assembly on a Monday after four 14-year-old girls were hospitalised the prior weekend with anal injuries following house parties.

Social media (quite rightly imo) is often blamed as a cause of mental health issues, I would argue this goes hand in hand with the explosion in availability and easy access to online porn. Although, at least the porn industry knows what a woman is because they are trafficked and continually abused.

I read this thread most days, some days I feel so angry at what is happening to women and others I just feel despair. Today is a despair day when I consider the damage that is being done to young girls who are being brutalised by boys who have been exposed to porn far too young.

I just watched last night's Big Brother and someone asked the trans girl (Hallie) if a man who wanted to be with them was technically gay.
The trans girl was of course offended and said no because she is a woman. Of course views to the contrary were labelled out of date and ignorant. The delusion is real there and that person won't accept that they are really male.

Ar least in the past people could face reality but now we are being forced to accept this delusion.
I have nothing against that individual but they are living in some sort of alternative reality if they really think that.
