The Peak District is incredible, it’s the Midlands really, rather than the North, but it’s got a more Northern feel because of the altitude and the climate. People are too ‘no nonsense’ to be bothering with gender crap. I recommend Buxton, the White Peak villages and dales, and the Dark Peak if you like it rugged. Manchester is just a stones throw away, just avoid the students areas which I’m sure are probably a haven of wokeness.
Can confirm, although late to the party, I live near the Peak District. Very little wokeness here. The homosexual transsexuals are accepted, and themselves aren’t overly woke. The blatant AGPs are viewed as weirdos. When I left my AGP ex people were quick to voice the fact they wondered why I didn’t leave sooner, and the first thing people usually say about him is that he looks like he is trying to wear “me”. No one is impressed, and a few who know the worse details of what he did to me are the last people he ever wants to bump into down a dark alley. The homosexual transsexuals have also threatened to set fire to him. So you’re probably quite safe here.

The loudest voices don't always represent the majority. But I can very much guarantee that transgender people get death threats. The person I know, who grew up with my friend and is now 50 years of age had her car windows smashed in outside of her house.

I don't think pronouns are lying, you are just making someone feel more comfortable. You lose nothing by making someone feel more comfortable just by changing a word.
I lost my personality and memory “just by changing words”. Until you’ve had to live with a twisted perception of reality full time, you have no business commenting on what is lost with the manipulation of language.

I could post a million photos here of Drag artists not caricaturing women.
Could you post some? I’m not trying to be funny or sarcastic but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a drag Queen who isn’t making a caricature of a woman.

I'm sure there will be some people here who just hate drag who will look at these and go 'gross'. Drag is meant to make people uncomfortable by confronting stereotypes. But its art, you don't have to appreciate it because art is subjective always but drag isn't about men in dresses trying to invade spaces and groom children. Its a f-u to gender stereotypes and society's vision of how we should be put in our boxes based off of what we are told. Clothes are genderless. By saying these are caricatures of women you're saying that make up and dresses are just for girls. One of those pictures is of a queen who was born biologically female. Thank you for asking too! And thank you to those who said for me not to run away. I appreciate that.

I used to watch Drag Race but got disillusioned with the whole thing.

I don’t think the monster get up is actually drag. RPDR has stretched the definition of drag so far it’s not actually drag. It’s interesting, it’s costume-y, it’s arty… but that green monster get up isn’t drag.

The female to male to drag queen (can’t remember their name) is just someone who gets applauded for… having a female frame. No surprise that they can cinch their waist so small.

Bimini isn’t in drag in those photos. It’s just an androgynous look for a photoshoot. Bimini would have been a New Romantic or something in the 80s.

Bimini is in drag there, where they blur their lines of their own fashion and drag is through their own choices of styling, but those photos are literally from the programme Drag Race. The lines of it have been blurred through progression, the literal catchphrase thats put out there constantly is that we are all born naked and the rest is drag. Yes in the 90s and early 00s what was highlighted in traditional media may have been the 60s doll aesthetic and what could be considered regressive garb but still club kids were drag.

Also in terms of the female to male drag queen, its not the female frame of a clinched waist that pushed them forward. There is literally a biological female drag queen on the UK series and Canadian series who would be seen as a bigger queen. The name in drag for that is bio-queen, as in biological woman queen. As in an understanding that a trans queen is not a biological woman.

You can't choose to define drag in one way when it encompassing so many different styles and forms of expression. Costume is drag. The monster looks are drag. Hence what I have said about drag is not one form of entertainment, there are layers to it beyond a man in a dress. I'm sure thats easy to see and it doesn't take anything away from us in anyway as women.

I do agree that its very easy to get disillusioned with the show because its so oversaturated. On the latest series though they have that discussion where a queen thought they had to dress more feminine and reductive in order to succeed because they were being asked to show different styles and they were brought back down to earth and told that that is backward thinking, they were literally sitting beside someone dressed as a giant mushroom.

Rupaul even said that Drag stands for dressing as a girl.

All throughout the seasons the judging panel, mainly Ru and Michelle, have criticised queens for not displaying a feminine silhouette. They read Adore Delano for it every week for not wearing a waist cincher till he eventually gave in. Just because the costumes have got more and more elaborate because it’s a big budget tv show doesn’t mean that drag isn’t essentially portraying an over the top caricature of women.

The damn show said for years “may the best woman win”, everyone refers to the queens as she / her when they’re in drag.

Just because trans identified men have infiltrated it rather than the usual gay men who traditionally partook in drag so Ru and the rest of the panel don’t dare criticise them for not looking feminine enough any more doesn’t distract from what it is. Ru had to backpedal due to comments on trans competitors so he is not trying to upset the TRAs and affect his coins.

Don’t even get me started on the use of the word “fishy”

You don’t know a lot about drag… but I have already replied about this topic. And it’s not men in mushrooms costumes who read to children….

Moreover, the main topic is here transsexualism. Which you avoid. We took time to answer, despite having answering the same questions so many times on this thread, but you don’t even read or avoid to answer our questions.

As far as I am concerned, I think I won’t interact with trans activists members anymore. This is a waste of time.

A trans influencer, Nikita Dragun has been but in a mens prison and people aren’t happy about it.😂

Nikita is known for being problematic and misogynistic to black Women and women in general, this makes me laugh. Also I don’t see what’s wrong about his sex being put as male, Nikita IS male. Gender and sex are two different things, remember.🤣

This is exactly how I feel! My mother has a similar sentiment to those in this thread and I was neither here nor there on it until I looked more into it. I’m surrounded by those who say TWAW and have been accused of being transphobic before by misgendering someone 🙄 I had never heard of AGP or anything like that before coming into this thread. My eyes have been opened massively.

Edit: just realised how strange this might look being in here with a pete burns profile picture 🤣
I think it's even better with Pete Burns as your profile picture. It just shows men can dress as they like and wear make up, without proclaiming that they're a woman.

I have to disagree. I really don’t see any difference between drag and blackface. Both are disrespectful and ‘punching down’. The costumes might be more elaborate and the singing seems innocuous but it’s still offensive. I’ve only been to one drag show and I’d never go back. I felt so uncomfortable in that audience. The performer was so aggressive against women, calling out women in the audience to mock them etc. I actually felt threatened. Awful.

I’ve been to one drag show years ago in Edinburgh and felt the same. It was a horrible atmosphere where women in the audience were fair game for ridicule. From a man standing in drag looking ridiculous himself! The irony. Thankfully I was able to kinda hide behind my friend so I wasn’t targeted. I was a lot more shy back then and would have been mortified. At the time I was early 20’s and I didn’t know what to expect but I was told by my friends I’d love it as it was a hilarious show. It was not. I’ve hated drag ever since.

Exactly. In the early days of the show it used to do a send up of America’s Next Top Model, but instead of “You’ve got Tyra mail” it was “You’ve got she-mail”. But that had to go because it was too offensive. Then they had to alter the main catchphrase of the ENTIRE SHOW because it was too offensive to address the queens as “gentlemen” and follow that up with “may the best woman win”.

You know RuPaul would have been pissed off about that but he had to follow the money or risk cancellation.

Then he had to start letting trans women compete (despite being outspoken about his belief that drag is for gay men), which opened the door to trans men, and then “cis” women… it’s ridiculous.

I watched a couple of episodes of the series with the cis woman before realising I was bored to tears and absolutely done with the show (I’d been trying to suspend my disbelief around the misogyny, the wokeness and the glorification of gender ideology for far too long) and thought it was fascinating that she wasn’t able to be one of the boys when it came to the usual jibes about being large. And, hilariously, it was edited in such a way that she came across as a victim. Talk about double standards. It’s OK for gay men to throw vicious insults at each other, but as soon as a woman inserts herself into the throng she can’t take it.

I saw the outrage over this on Twitter as well but they all forgot that tiny detail that he’s insolitary confinement away from all male prisoners…but of course that’s not enough, he had his fool out but poor racist, misogynistic Nikita wasn’t sent to a female prison…

Not a single person here has said drag is about men in dresses trying to invade spaces and groom children. Stop distorting what has been said in this forum. Plenty of people have said that drag has no place reading stories to children nor children being present in drag shows. You have been provided plenty of evidence of this but instead you portray drag as what it is shown on TV which is not what drag is to the people that do drag.

make up and dresses are just for girls - I could quote you but you stated you would also read the threads. There are literally hundreds of posts arguing against the rigid gender stereotypes of the 50/60s in here. People making the point that a child can wear whatever they want but in doing so that does not make them trans. It just makes them children. Both my boys have at some point wore nail polish as children whilst I am pretty sure my daughter who is now 15 has never worn it. The forum is littered with hundreds of similar examples some of which where even quoted at you before.

Nikita is actually post-op so he was flashing his open gape out to everyone🤢 he should be on the sex offenders list as there would’ve been children there too.
He also did other crimes like steal from bars, attack hotel staff and police officers and cause disturbance at the hotel. It’s annoying to see people go “Respect Nikitas pronouns” even after all this mess. I’m not respecting tit, Nikita (Nickolas) is an asshat.

"Misgendered" so they'd rather news falsely report that a woman did this? As is often done with sex offenders, or like in Ezra Miller's case where the use of "they/them" was used to obscure the fact that he was a grown man alleged to have groomed an underage girl
