I need to get some thoughts off my chest hope you don't mind.

Mermaids and their supporters

Social media types and self- promoters latching onto the new in thing that will make them look good. Probably never looked beyond the front cover as to what they are associated with, probably don't care, definitely the narcissistic type

The blind faith people, not very bright, #bekind, let's make the world a better place. Genuinely good people but prone to cultism and group think. Also not looked beyond the front page

Staff, trustees, CEO, etc. Sociopathic vultures. All have something to gain, they are totally aware of what they are doing and do not care. What they gain from being involved in this so called charity I will leave to your imaginations.

Why are they not closed now? Even as a temporary thing whilst the ptb investigate child safe guarding. Do we need to rethink the CC. It's depressing as I trust no one anymore. 😟
Perfectly put. People have drawn comparisons with Kid’s Company, which really was THE trendy children’s charity which lefty celebs loved to be associated with - just like Mermaids. Because, like you said, it was all about basking in the glow of being seen to be associated with this fabulous charity and their colourful CEO.

The worst thing KC did was piss all their money up the wall. It absolutely pales in comparison to what Mermaids are doing.

I’m not sure the Charity Commission are fit for purpose. It took them something like seven years to report on the collapse of KC, by which time the public had forgotten about them, and even then basically absolved them of any major wrongdoing. I dunno, I think handing out cash to inner city gang kids probably wasn’t the smartest policy, but what do I know?

It's about time all this was knuckled down upon. Call yourself a charity & they think its carte-blanche to do as they please, without any comebacks etc

More on this London School of Economics ( enabling tit-hole , always has been) bleep, Jacob breslow...........

The Breslow stuff on Twitter has been really enlightening about the central tenets of queer theory, which is “queering” normative boundaries around sex - sex with children, sex with animals, you name it, some academic has written/lectured about it.

I even saw a headline from Times Higher Education (paywalled, so I couldn’t read it) complaining about the suspension of that Japanese porn wanking PhD student because it went against free speech.

Does academia need to think a bit harder about what free speech means? Either that or disband their ethics committees and let people research whatever degenerate/borderline illegal tit they feel like.

I just honestly think the silence from mermaids supporters is deafening. Why is no one speaking up? They are so quick to jump on the woke bandwagon so much so they will stand by an organisation that employed a p*do apologist!! Wee goodie two shoes like Lorraine Kelly. With a backbone made of jelly. c’mon Lorraine, Jameela, Emma and the rest of them! Where is your undying support for the safeguarding of children?? Or are you too scared of being branded transphobic (seems like a worse insult than nazi these days). Cowards!!

Meant to say does anyone listen to the podcast happy mum happy baby? Giovana Fletcher’s podcast. She had Freddie McConnell on 😩😩😩 obviously couldn’t listen. So so disappointed in Gi. I thought she knew better but she’s just another lemming.

" We love & support Mermaids , it has our full support. We are doing the right thing, helping and supporting young children- fighting against these nasty abusive people who want it shut down, going against everything we stand for and support ( .....tweeted by all the trendies, band-wagon- jumpers & tambourine-slappers)

" we regret to inform you that the charity has paedos as trustees"

***** utter bleeping silence in online media , from previously enthusiastic, ranting supporters ****

Because clearly there are NOOOOO links between arresting the physical development of children and pdophilia. None at all. I hope this gets shared far and wide and brings at least a moment of ‘Mm, seems dodgy’ to all the transing children enablers.

I don’t have anyone I can talk to about all this, my FB page isn’t really for anything but a few pics a year and my friends (luckily) don’t give two people about TRAs so we don’t discuss it. I have a couple of people on my FB that I work with so even if I did share stuff like this, I would honestly be so anxious posting, wondering if I would be called in for a meeting. I’m actually changing jobs soon and hopefully won’t have to deal with colleagues telling me ‘someone can pretty much change sex if you’ve had enough done, surely?’ 🙃

I saw some TRA yesterday explaining how the n*once-apologist was simply comparing paraphilia when writing in a sexually explicit way about a child compared to a shoe. As if that's not exactly the problem? The hubris to think our concern is that we don't understand the academic purpose of what was written and if only we did we'd see it's just innocent theorising! We're just being hysterical!

duck off. That man shouldn't be within 100m of a child let alone a trustee of a children's charity.

if you want to read articles behind paywall yu can post them here : https://archive.md/

The higher education thing is insane, on the one hand banning people from speaking, on the other somehow also giving paedophiles a platform. Just totally bizarre

This is mean and I’m a bad person, but I can’t stand Freddy. Something about her pinched, mean looking face, and the obviously feminine features hiding behind her scraggly facial hair. TIFs always give me creepy, Uncanny Valley vibes. Not to mention her seething internalised misogyny. Just looked at her Insta and there’s a video of herself in her underwear, packer and all 🤢

Her poor kids. Wonder whether it’s possible for them to grow up happy and comfortable in the bodies they were born in.

This is exactly it - it acts as if "queer" really DOES mean deviant and wrong and then LGB people get tarred with that brush and lumped into the same category as paedophiles, raving TRAs, and sex offenders

Uncanny Valley is spot on. Me and my (gay male) friend were watching an old episode of First Dates the other night. When the bloke on the date appeared my mate was like, "what's up with him, there's something weird and off about him, gay-but-not-quite" and despite this person probably passing pretty well day to day I instantly clocked her as a TiF. Almost like being able to determine someone's sex is an innate human skill 😂.
