Not quite the sameLike, I don’t have a problem with REAL trans women saying they’re females (although they’re not quite the same) but not every second bloody person is trans, it’s like 0.1% of the whole world in reality- half of these new trans people are just attention seeking
I got my views by being born with a DSD (I have CAIS) and therefore being really interested all my life (well 11+) in ideas about sex and gender. People like me look female at birth and are raised and socialised as female. Every experience in my life has been based on a female identity - my place in my family, my education, my roles in society, my medical care, my employment, my experience of disability, domestic violence, sexual assault and rape. My body doesnt look different to a woman's body. But I'm technically not a woman. So that's nearly 4 decades of thinking about things and researching things.Good point ! No I think this topic is great to have but the majority seem to be against trans people existing - not gonna get into that, your views are your own business.
I guess I'm wondering how you all ended up with these views ? Having a trans cousin and close friends who are gay I grew up knowing about everythingg. Did none of you have trans friends or anything ?
It is deffo much more common now. My aunt who is in endocrinology told me over 34% of her patients regret or don't go ahead with the physical side which is LOT.
Thats eye-opening. Reading it, she has a strong case I think. But on the other hand - it’s Canada.Remember when they were always screaming that 'words are literal violence'? Yet had no problem with women receiving death threats and rape threats.
Have a read of this article which highlights the sort of harm that TRA's are causing.

I dont think the majority of people on here are against anyone individually expressing themselves, as trans or whatever.Good point ! No I think this topic is great to have but the majority seem to be against trans people existing - not gonna get into that, your views are your own business.

No, it's a biological fact that has been understood for millenia. We've always understood the difference between male and female.Hence the idea that no one born male can become female! Its a reaction to the way things have been going.
That whole crew makes me feel physically sick, especially the Martine Rothblatt connection and the obsession with transhumanism and mind cloning.Follow the (US) money ...

I agree with the rest of your post though.
I've heard that young lesbians are afraid to come out because they don't want this shit thrown at them. Breaks my heart. I've also heard gay people called genital fetishists and same sex attraction described as transphobic.Interacting with trans 'lesbians' gave me these views. Straight men who claim to be lesbians are manipulative as fuck. They shame lesbians for our sexuality. Saying no to dating them is "cis-sexism" and is contributing to their genocide. We should really evaluate our "preferences" and address our "biases" so we can eventually accept the "girl" dick. And when we continue to say No, they push us out of our communities. In online communities they routinely go after positions of power so they can create an echo chamber and when they do happen to encounter women who don't coddle them, they have a full on reality collapse.
These men aren't victims. They are manipulators.
Lia Thomas is a man. He's a man who enjoyed walking around naked in the women's changing room. Not one of the women were allowed to challenge it, they were forced to accept it. Basically young women were subjected to this pervert because if they didn't accept it, they were out of the team. The man was allowed to abuse the women in this way because 'trans'.I Straight men who claim to be lesbians are manipulative as fuck.
I think some women/men have become more vehement about refusing to use some trans peoples, chosen pronouns, eg deliberately calling Lia Thomas, the swimmer, he, rather than going along with the accepted convention of calling Lia Thomas, she.
This kind of thing is deliberately antagonising the conversation, because it isnt being polite or kind, to individuals who may have major mental health issues and need a lot of help.....but........ I do understand why some people end up feeling like this, and deliberately saying this kind of thing.
Yes I am a brain surgeonDo any of you work in medicine ?
Absolutely spot on. It's why it goes 0 - 60, from, "is this man a woman just because he says so?" to "you want us dead, die terf" in three seconds flat. The reason why these people are so aggressive is because they know, deep down, that what they believe isn't true. They know it's a load of bollocks. They know they're conning themselves. They can't handle the cognitive dissonance. They lash out.
They remind me of the prissy little passive aggressive deists at a Richard Dawkins lecture. They hate him vehemently because they know he speaks the truth and it shatters their illusion - or delusion.
yes, this is a tragedy, in the weeks that millions of women in the US are now no longer able to get abortions, and in the UK to get one you need referrels from two doctors. Crazy to need psychiatric assessment to cut necessary parts of your body off. What a world we live in.Delurking to share this. Am I nuts or is this person nuts? Why in the name of fuck would you NOT want doctors to ask questions before agreeing to cut your body parts off? Duty of care is more important than some bruised feelings, bloody hell.
Ok, as you were
if I could love this more I would !!!!Marilyn, of 80s gender-bending, friend of Boy George fame, is going full TERF and as a gay man who paved the way for these fuckwits, he's bang on.
