This whole thing about actors not being able to act is ridiculous, and how is it his "mistake" anyway, surely it is the film company's if you want to argue that?
Surely that's the point of acting? He also played Stephen Hawking, Where's the apology for a disabled person not being given the role.

Also, acting is dominated by posh people and it's fine for them to play working class characters...

This article sums up everything I feel about everyone's constant need for validation.

I'm not a prude (very very much the opposite in fact 😂) but nor do I need the world to pat me on the head for my personal proclivities and tell me they're interesting and worthwhile 😒.

"There is a happy place between believing that no one should be excluded on the basis of race, sex or social class, and believing that official validation of every life choice any person freely makes are the same."

Absolutely bang on.

The two murders of young girls by men in the news today have sent a shiver down my spine. The sad thing is that I know that in a week or so it will have dropped out of the news- it happens so regularly that the news moves on so fast. If one of those young girls was trans we would NEVER hear the end of it though. It is so frustrating that the TRAs talking about how they're in constant danger of murder, that JK Rowling wants to kill them etc, and yet what is the news full of? Women consistently murdered by men. If they could understand this perhaps our cries for safe spaces wouldn't be treated with such derision and complete lack of empathy. TRAs are so similar to men's rights activists, honestly so predictable

So this tweet was going around Twitter yesterday as someone had reposted it:
F61F97C8-2229-46D5-9AE7-CD469BFFC34F.jpeg

In the comments section of the account that reposted it (a GC account) people were asking if it was possible and someone shared this link
Now a lot of the scientific parts go over me but what I found quite worrying was in these two paragraphs. That uterine transplants are possible but require dead women to donate, that animal studies will need to be carried out to see if this will work and that the reproductive ‘aspirations’ of M2F may make it become legally and ethically unfeasible to deny them this. At the start they state that gender dysphoria affects between 0.5 and 1.4% of adult males.

Please let me know if I’ve read these parts wrong but it all feels very Frankenstein to me? I think many people realise that animal testing is a necessary evil for medical advancement but chopping up and mutilating the animals so men can change their biology is really worrying. Plus the need for female donors - are we going to have to put down that we don’t want our reproductive organs used which I can see a lot of women doing. I don’t wish my organs to co sign this freak show. But that will mean women will miss out (quelle surprise!) on organ donation that could potentially help them. As for the comment that this is something we might have to eventually accept due to ethical and legal reasons - why, when it only effects 0.5 and 1.4% of adult males?
(I don’t know if the 0.5 and 1.4% of adult males is worldwide or American based or from another country. I think the paper is as recent as 2019 but again not 100% sure)

exactly, the only reason sarah everard is still talked about is because it was a policeman not some random or a ex/boyfriend. and then of course trans people even tried to make it about them

Absolutely insanity. A womb isn't a microwave oven which you can just plug in anywhere.

The reproductive aspirations of M2F transgender women deserve equal consideration to those assigned female at birth.

Er, no. No they don’t. Not when they're perfectly capable of reproducing with their own damn sperm.

I remember there being a doctor who occasionally sticks his head above the parapet, talking about uterine transplants for men, and promoting his private practice. I suspect it’s the same doctor. He seems to go quiet and then up will pop yet another article talking about uterine transplants for men and how attainable it all is. Pandering to the fetishists and the mentally ill.

I can’t believe this tit was approved for publication in one of the most prestigious obs & gynae journals. Women’s health issues are badly served enough, without the vanity projects of transwomen taking up space in medical literature. duck right off.

That's funny that nothing has been done for women who cannot conceive because of some uterine problems but then we would consider to transplant uterus on transwomen? That would be crazy.

"Transgender women deserve equal consideration to those assigned female at birth."

So trans women are women, and women are 'those'. Nice.

It'll never happen - even if you can transplant a uterus in a male body, and get an embryo to implant, there is so much hormonal input and regulation that goes into maintaining a human pregnancy that cross-sex hormones cannot touch the sides over three trimesters.

Exactly. The tit women are expected to put up with when it comes to reproductive health…

It takes ten years to get a diagnosis of endometriosis (because no one gives a F about women flooding and vomiting with pain because they’re clearly just need to woman up) but uterine transplants for dudes? Bring it on 🌈

Half of them might consider receiving a brain transplant before worrying about other organs. duck me.

I've read many stories where the guy 'comes out' while the woman is pregnant or has recently given birth. One couple on YouTube - the guy told his wife he wanted to transition on their honeymoon. She stayed with him, but that would have been grounds for annulment, awful deception when women are vulnerable.
It's because AGPs get jealous of the female centric attention their pregnant or mother of a newborn that their wives get

When it came to the protest and afterwards it seemed more about the redhead from Sisters Uncut rather than Sarah Everard - had a snoop at her twitter and still going on about getting all upset and all but looks to love reposting all the images of herself
The same group that will support trans women in prison for grape and murder   Fairly sure one of the speakers on the news about the verdict was a trans woman rather than a woman.

Found this about the group - https://www.feministcurrent.com/2021/04/08/how-sisters-uncut-derailed-a-vigil-against-male-violence/

This made me laugh: "who, in the words of Magdalen Berns, “are so open minded their brains have fallen out.” 😅

I've been to an event where Sisters Uncut led the proceedings - women on mics flagged by some very burly trans-identified men. No, thank you.

From their website:

What if I am a man?

Sisters Uncut is a safe space for all women (trans, intersex and cis) and all nonbinary, agender and gender variant people. Self-definition is at the sole discretion of that individual. We do not police gender in our spaces. If you are here it is because you feel that you are included by our gender inclusion policy, and therefore you are welcome. Our meetings and spaces are not open to people who identify solely or primarily as men.

So men are welcome, just don't call yourself one 💁‍♀️

This is unbelievable ridiculous, I didn't know that much about Sisters Uncut but from their campaigning about cuts to DV services etc I would have assume they were radical feminists, disappointing.
what exactly would be the difference between non binary and a gender? surely that is the same?

I also think it’s because they have their wives trapped - pregnant, vulnerable (emotionally and financially, you could argue) and far less inclined to leave the relationship.

Trans widows are under enough societal pressure to stand by their husbands and declare themselves born again lesbians as it is. Imagine how hard it must be to break up your marriage before the child is even born, and force their second Mum (🤢) to be a non-resident parent?

And what about trans men, after all, is it not TMAM too? really is stupid, it's the one type of group that should be for women and others with female parts only rather than throwing the doors open which is the case here and sadly other groups

yeah in the same way that DV often starts/escalates during pergnancy
I can imagine the latter situation in which the trans "mum" manages to get some kind of insane lawyer and gets sole custody or something, that is where we seem to be going

This happened to Alexandra Hemmingsley. Her newly transed husband demanded to be called 'Mum' after she had been through IVF, a difficult pregnancy and birth and sexual assault while pregnant. She's no longer with her husband but seems to be on good terms and she has gone full TRA. Easier to blame the world than to blame him I suppose

The arrogance that we can just replicate pregnancy in a man when we don't even fully understand how pregnancy impacts a woman and how her body naturally changes, adapts and sacrifices itself for a baby in the womb. There is a huge amount that goes on that scientists are still discovering and finding out. Even replicating the hormonal element would be impossible, not to mention all the other physical body parts that are missing. We are overcorrecting so hard we don't even get to question basic biology any more.

Also is it not extremely unethical to put an unborn child or baby animal through this experimentation? Not that it will get that far I suppose
