I’ve suffered with infertility and it was hell. The worst thing I’ve ever gone through in my life. Some of the comments on here about being selfish for wanting your own biological baby sting a bit for me. My need for a biological child was very real, it was a physical ache and mental torture that I couldn’t conceive my own child. If you haven’t been through it I don’t think you can comment really. I did think of adopting but it just never felt right for me. And the thought of surrogacy (not that it was ever a real consideration for me and my husband), well the way I saw it was it would kill me to see another woman pregnant with ‘my child’. Just my opinion.

I honestly didn’t realise people felt strongly against surrogacy until I read these comments, I realise babies want their mums but they will be cared for by whoever is adopting them. I see it a bit like abortion, it’s giving women choices. If surrogacy is a woman’s last chance to have her own baby then I don’t see why anyone would be against that, it’s not effecting your life. Same way I feel about anti abortion people, why do they care what another woman does with her body and why do they want to take away her choice, just because it’s not something they would do.
My children were conceived by ivf. I went through hell. Heard every insensitive comment there is. I had the strongest urge to have children, nothing would shake it. But I’m completely against surrogacy, for everyone. I sympathise with the buying parents. But now I have kids I see it from the children’s perspective and not just the buyers as I would have done before. It’s selfish and damaging

did you see a labour MP is having a baby through surrogacy at 50?! seems very unfair on a child that their parents will die when they are quite young (obviously anyone can die at any time but..)

Is anyone gathering statistics on trans men committing these crimes? the fact that these are officially counted as women is just
There are obviously studies like the one below but the question I would obviously like answered is how many trans woman who have changed their names have previous convictions

Also is the recidivism higher in trans woman

at least its not she in this but its

- shocking that female staff are having to pat him down
- not surprising that they feel they cannot speak out as that is what I have heard from a good number of prison officers

Brian May from Queen is getting tit on twitter from the blue hair brigade for criticising the Brits for dropping the male/female categories

I do actually see some rationale for a gender-neutral category but this hasn't been done for the right reasons. It has been done to pander to a small minority. It's not as though the Brits don't have enough money and resources to have male/female categories - in fact, they've actually announced new genre-specific awards which says it all, really. But hey, it's LITERAL VIOLENCE against people like Sam Smith that male/female categories ever existed 😤

I just don't get why they don;t have male/female/neutral?

I was reading a lecture this week about how gender theory in the 80's was used as a tool to explain how women got dominated by men throughout centuries because of their sex. The whole thing started like this, to explain how sex was used as a way to discriminate women and putting on them expectations on how they should behave and look (= gender). How did we arrive to the conclusion sex doesn't matter and we should center everything on gender?

Was just on nhs website about interuterine devices - and it doesn’t mention women once: just people with wombs.

Those poor trans women being attacked everyday 🙄 In today’s news I read about at man charged with the murder of an 18 year old in Plymouth and a 12 year old girl beaten to death in Liverpool and 4 boys aged 13 - 15 arrested. And then there is that repulsive man (I refuse to associate the word woman because he is not) whipping his rooster out.

They need to sort their own community out before pointing the finger at others 😡

When I searched for Adrian Harrop, I clicked on a reddit link and since then it pushes this sub, I finally muted it but anyway at least I saw this exchange…this is why corporations shouldn’t try so hard to push this nonsense, most people don’t give an f about mandatory pronouns, normal people want liveable wages, benefits and not this woke nonsense…

All this, then they complain when organisations do list them as the sex they are in their imagination and they end up excluded from sex-based screening like cervical screening.

Basically nothing but pandering to their individual requirements every moment of every day is enough, and even then, it will somehow be wrong.

Pretty sure I'm "Mr Nothanksbabes" on some documents where I've sent details in an email, not included my title (I have an ambiguous first name) and whoever has done the form filling has presumed I'm a bloke. It makes zero bleeping difference to my life.

Just been on the NHS website looking at the contraceptive implant and the absolute joy that they still refer to women on here!
