Yep, it's not the cross dressing, clothes are clothes... It's the association of the "sissy", sexually submissive thing with femininity which is incredibly misogynistic, combined with this infantile dressing which is more than a bit n oncey... All of it is troubling.

SO misogynistic. It really says a lot about what these pervs think of women, when they get off on the idea of being female as bimbos and f*ckholes and being degraded.

I decided to read up on the sissy thing and how it relates to AGPs and TIMs and wow… I had no idea about how much sissy porn had increased over the last five years, and how it’s poisoning the minds of men of all ages.

Why isn't anyone talking about the influence of porn on the trans trend?

You know what I’ve been noticing? The way some women embrace trans women and are full of compliments like oh you look stunning and I love your hair etc. You be almost never see men embracing trans men? It’s like there’s this pressure for women to welcome trans women in to the sisterhood but men just do not seem to look at trans men the same. I’m probably not making sense but just an observation. Men seem to be let off the hook too, no one is pressuring them to let trans men be ‘one of the lads’.

It's like they're trying to convince themselves that they really believe this.

it is the standard women's thing of putting ourselves down, we are constantly told we are not as good as xyz so no surprise it transfers into this. Unless I have missed it I don't think men are saying the same about Elliot Page are they?

Trans and sissy porn is worryingly so common now and I don't think most women really know how bad it is. I remember trans/sissy stuff was quite niche when I escorted but it's everywhere now, and that's in the space of a few years. It's crazy. I don't know where to begin with it. I'm no longer dating men anymore and just removed myself from it all and that's one reason why. I had a boyfriend a couple of years ago and found out he had a porn addiction, a lot of it was sissy/trans stuff and I didn't know where to start so decided to sack it off.

People will say that porn is all just a fantasy and not real and yadda yadda, but it's normal women like us who have to deal with the effects of porn. The thing is, it's not "just a kink", men will go to great lengths to hide it from their partners and they've genuinely been brainwashed by it all.

I’ve seen this response from quite a few companies, that they only seem willing to change their policies when it involves a ‘Muslim’ woman which a) why is it always a mythical Muslim woman. There are conservative women in other religions and even atheists can be conservative b) it pits women against women and culture against culture which isn’t helpful at all and c) it makes the companies look like they view white women as expendable.

You find this so much on Facebook make up groups and that’s why I left them. They (the 18-25 year old girls who use a trowel to put on their foundation, cut crease eyeshadow and liquid lipstick) were always super catty to women and their make up skills but the minute a bloke with long hair and a bald patch showed up with their poorly applied eyeshadow they went weak at the knees.

I was peaked at pride 4 years ago.

A man who had had breast implants took his top off in the parade. A policeman told him to put his top back on because it was a family event. I have *never* seen a temper tantrum from a grown adult quite like it. His friends marched in the pub and attempted to whip up an impromptu riot. Everyone just ignored them but I remember thinking what spoiled entitled people they were. If I, as a middle aged woman, did the same (whipped my top off) i think they would have been stronger words said. I didn't know about GC then but the more I learn the more I see misogyny and narcissistic entitlement. I'll never stop talking about this nonsense!

the only thing about this is that you, as a woman, would never have done so in a family event! unless it was a specific protest aboout this (i.e. the anti punti ones in Russia - cannot remember the name) but you/we would never just feel like that was appropriate. just ridiculous

Thanks all for your thoughts on Grayson Perry! I don’t follow him closely, and so hadn’t seen the mentions of sissy or the child like posing, It does give me the idk. It’s a shame, as I really do think his tv series was an interesting exploration of the different ways in which masculinity can be expressed and the ways in which a British society places pressure on people to adhere to gender stereotypes etc etc. Ahh well. I already found his wife irritating so I guess he can join her
