No we're not.......some and a very limited number are. It doesn't excuse the harrowing and awful experiences women have have had. But tarnishing everyone with the same brush is not fair. It would like me saying women who wear short dresses or skirts are inviting unwanted attention....which we know isn't true.

Again this is a limited circumstance, not all police officers.
I have no words. Kindly duck off, thanks.

What is it with all these blokes joining Tattle, swinging their wicks around and sharing their important manly opinions? It isn’t just this thread either, my Ignore button has been doing overtime lately, every time I see posts dripping with misogyny and/or talking about the female celebs they want to have sex with 🤢

Yep I wish that tedious poster would bugger off. The fawning encouragement though….

What is that about? I think the person in question is disabled/has a learning difficulty but now I am not so sure. That might be why people are being benign. I was at first but his posts are getting worse.

Yeah, I used to find it funny, now I’m just bored of it. Now there’s another user there who’s typing exactly like them and one user asked were they the same person.

View attachment 793672View attachment 793673View attachment 793680The way men talk about women in public is horrifying.

Everything about TiMs are them just trying to prove that they’re better “women” than actual women. They’re so gross and narcissistic.

Male. Y chromosome horror.
It's just pathetic and reeks of jealousy. The funny thing is, this man claims he is a woman on the inside because he feels like a woman. Yet his main desire is getting attention from men, something most women don't actually want and would really be happier without. But of course he knows exactly what it feels like to be a woman.

This is a good advert for who NOT to buy books from. Their response is to a teacher who said they wouldn’t feel comfortable reading this book to children and rightly so.

Also last I checked drag wasn’t trans, so how is it transphobic?

If an Early Years teacher is promoting drag to children, they need some serious safeguarding retraining

Long time lurker but I feel like I need some affirmation that I'm not overreacting. I feel utterly despondent this morning.

There is a cafe in Glasgow touting itself as anarchist in its politics with a specific focus on solidarity with 'queer' and Jewish people. They're staunchly anti-police, and to be honest I don't really have a problem with that sentiment because I've worked with the police in the past and even before the recent horrifying news I would trust them as far as I can throw them, and because the cafe itself is in an area of Glasgow where there has been significant overpolicing especially of Romani people and migrants. What I've had a problem with in the past is that they deliberately antagonise the police, meaning the very people who have been victimised by overpolicing have to deal with even more scrutiny in their neighbourhood. That's its own issue, and I respect that there will be a variety of views on anti-police sentiment.

What I'm really upset about now is that the same day Couzens was sentenced they tweeted that they were selling handcuff keys and advised that they were totally legal to carry. There was a big backlash to this, obviously. What that says is either that Sarah perhaps could have been saved by having this device which REEKS of victim blaming OR that people who have been lifted on fairly minor (or in Sarah's case non existent) charges should risk adding the far riskier charge of resisting arrest. Either way we are not talking about a strategy that prioritises the safety of those of who are vulnerable. Now they're claiming that they hadn't been thinking of Sarah's murder (must be nice!!!!), that they had COP26 in mind when they jumped on this little branding opportunity. I'm sure this is a lie. They tweeted it the DAY OF sentencing. They saw Sarah's story as an opportunity. I'm disgusted.

I have always been involved in left-wing organising and to me the forefront of it always has to be safety. So why is it that I'm constantly organising with and around men who treat the safety of women as a negligible afterthought? I remember raising women's safety as an issue during the Occupy movement and being given the brush then - and a woman was grape at the camp in Glasgow. I really wish my male so-called comrades cared about my safety as much as they do the cause.

Oh ffs. Next it will be 'let's talk about sex work on careers day as it so EMPOWERING.' I'm no pearl clutcher and I massively encourage giving children a broad view of the world via stories but drag IS massively sexualised, end of.

When did not wanting sexualised content in classrooms become homophobic?

Pre- and primary school kids should learn about different types of families, not about men dressing up as women for sexualised entertainment. Would a picture book about women 'empowered by sex work' be appropriate? Perhaps a story about how mummy and daddy enjoy dressing up for each other? Actually, I'd rather not hear the answer from these deluded adults.

It's so unfair for young people who may be struggling with their sexuality - their models of relationships are a choice between: sparkly glittery drag, the rainbow dildo butt monkey, infinite flags and labels to choose from etc.

Why can't they see the mundane stuff that heterosexual people can model themselves on, like a couple doing the weekly shop, buying a house or going on holiday. Why can't same-sex attracted young people see themselves in the everyday, than an exhausting never-ending celebration of themselves.

I cannot believe a teacher is advocating that book for young children. Drag is adult entertainment, it is not for children.

Like many others on here, I personally find drag to be extremely misogynistic; an offensive parody of womanhood. Just look at terms such as "fishy" and "hunty". I suppose those of us who feel this way are "some of the worst people in society".

Look at how she says "as a cis-gender white woman". The self-loathing pours out.

I love sex as I'm sure we all do but honestly people who are sex obsessed are the most boring in the world. A generation of kids are being raised to define themselves just by sexuality. Boring and one dimensional

My son said to me the other day that sexuality has replaced having an actual personality - I think he’s absolutely right. He’s a gamer and spends a lot of time on Discord servers and communities where everyone is either trans, pansexual, polyamorous, into dressing up as an animal or banging on about ‘kink’.

Yep, I can tell you my acquaintances with a plethora of labels and sexuality markers are not the people you want to be sat next to at dinner. They really have nothing else to talk about.

The Celeb goss thread is unreadable at the moment. Full of blokes posting unfunny balls.

OMG rainbow dildo butt monkey feels like ages ago! How come things move so fast within woke circles?!

As for mundanity within relationships… I think that’s exactly what they want to push back against, as yet another display of “not like the other boys/girls”, “not like the cishets, ew gross” etc 😄

Social contagion doesn’t begin and end with ROGD, I swear it applies to kinks and sexualities too. No one makes these decisions in a vacuum.

I don't care about anyone else's sex life other than my own, those people would drive me up the walls.
