For me it seems so immature. Teenager care so much about looks and being instyle and in the peer group, she is over 30 and has a baby. She should have other priorities. I DO NOT mean she should let herself go, no, but the priority in being sooo pretty and perfect in all seems immature imo.
literally! Once I had a baby things like that seemed so insignificant and didn’t matter anymore,
I have actual job and toddler and one serious hobby. I do hair and nails and love fashion. But I dont sit inside the house obsessing my looks or filter myself to look like a skinny alien. Shes very vain.

She has the time and money. She could do so much fun stuff with noah and explore. She pushes noah to daycare to buy fall crap and watch series at home. Wtf its pathetic. I bust my ass so I can put my kid to nursery only 3 days and spend the rest with him. Having a child seems like a such a nuisance to her. Maybe shes depressed but the world is her oyster and she leads this empty empty life.
You’d think if she’s sending him to daycare she’d go out and do something take up a class or something. I’m a sahm and mines started playgroup this month 3 mornings a week it’s funded by the government it’s from half 9 to 12. I’m gonna start a Zumba or spin class at least 2 of the mornings and catch up with friends now and again for a breakfast or a coffee. I don’t understand why she’s sent him to daycare to just sit about the house when that’s what she was doing when he was at home anyway especially if she pays for the daycare which I’m assuming she does. Could understand maybe sending him 1 morning or afternoon a week for socialising if she had ‘work’ to do at home but there’s also other ways to get him socialising, take him to a mums and tots or a softplay or something.

I'm one of those people😄 I love Autumn so always decorate early but I dont spend as much as Gemma on decor! And I actually keep my autumn decorations up for the whole of the season. She will take hers down the day after Halloween to put up her xmas tree even though its peak Autumn in November!

Always thought Jamie was a control freak (which I’m sure he is) but the way Gemma is speaking to him in that Autumn is just as bad. SHE want’s everything a certain way, can’t put that there as the clutter will mess with her head, SHE wants the lounge less beige now. It actually sounds exhausting to live with. I agree with it being said she could travel and enhance her life and content but she can’t handle the lack of control. She said in her Greece vlog whenever she goes anywhere her tummy gets upset and she can’t cope. Could just handle with leaving the resort in a hire car one afternoon. What a sad, stifling way to live for a young family.

Also not only is Gemma clearly not doing anything while poor N is at nursery but neither is Jamie! Just both of them mucking about the house and she’s moving one thing to another place and back again. Obsessing for over a year about an archway which is going to look ridiculous with 2 TVs on the same wall some of and it randomly painted dark 🫠

I haven’t commented on this thread for ages purely because she is that soul destroyingly boring I don’t have much to add and usually prefer to lurk but christ alive what is up with the black bags under Noah’s eyes?! 😱 I’m sorry but he really gives me the creeps, reminds me of something out of a horror show. Something seems really off about him, but I doubt she’d ever discuss it if there was. It wouldn’t fit with the image she tries to portray.

Came here to see if anyone else spotted the bags under his eyes - I think it’s because when he wakes up at 5am, Gemma just gets them both up for the day which is a joke! My little one is 3 months old and she wakes up at 6/8am to feed and I feed her and if it’s closer to the 6am, we both go back to bed 🤣

Does the child not sleep, allergies or she isn't giving him enough water, as that's not right I would be very concerned about that, something definitely not right

Looks almost a bit like a black eye? Maybe he is constantly falling/not being properly supervised? I mean all kids take a tumble now and then but didn’t he have another bruise on his face at a different time?

please could anyone tell me what happened to sophie? Did Jamie kill her? Did gemma choose Jamie over a true friend? Was she even a true friend? Is baby beige the reincarnation of Sophie?

I actually fully disagree, I don’t think looking stylish or wanting to feel pretty should be limited to younger people.

I know quite a few women in their 50s & 60s who make an effort to wear stylish clothes and frequently get their hair & nails done & good for them! I would hate for anybody to think as soon as they reach a certain age or have a child they should just ‘stop bothering’.
I don’t think they mean you shouldn’t look after yourself once you’ve children. I still get my hair, nails done and like to dress nice, it just also doesn’t bother me or make me feel less than if I don’t have all that done, because theres more to me as a person than how I look physically. All Gemma cares about is how she looks that’s all that seems to matter to her judging from her social media anyway.

I wrote she shoul not let herself go, or not? BUT it is a difference between being obsessed with looks and style or having your hair and nails done, come on. There is something between, and I think she overdoes it. If you do not think so, that is fine, but I think she overdoes all this. She could do more child groups, playground and who says she cannot have lovely nails or hair btw. Hope you understand better now what I mean
yeah that’s fair to be honest, I do actually agree she is quite self obsessed. I feel like she was self obsessed when she was friends with Sophie as well but her personality got away with it more, like she was a bit cheeky but now it does come across kind of cringey.

I don’t think N fits naturally into what Gemma was hoping for on so many levels. But especially with her being able to use him for content £££. I don’t think he fits into their controlled, beige insta life at all and was quite shocked she decided to bring a baby into it in the first place. Especially as she didn’t seem in a very strong emotional state. It’s all quite sad as on paper she has everything but you can tell the whole household is just off no matter what she tries so hard to portray. I really don’t think she should put him out on the internet at all though.

Agreed. Of course acknowledge his existence, you’re a mum now and he’s your whole life but keep his innocent little face off the internet - it’s not fair!

I think it’s weird to put the media wall where they have given they can’t really watch the TV with that huge vase on the table but it looks ok actually IMO. I don’t get why there’s an odd gap at the top though, why not just to go the ceiling instead of leaving a grubby dust trap?

I like the red flowers she had but the rest of the shelf styling is soulless, dull and copied straight from a Next Home catalogue as per. Although at least there’s ONE family photo to show real people actually live there 😂

Everything in that house is so staged, no matter what she attempts to do it doesn't look homely. Devoid of colour, everything styled within an inch of its life, its just not real. The autumn decor too, what a disappointment. So much colourful stuff in the shops, oranges/browns/mustard, such autumn colours that pop. That's really what that house (not home) needs COLOUR.

I'm not sure whether it's to do with the direction that her house faces, her obsession with the 'golden hour', or if it's the hideous beige filter she adds over the top of her photos and videos, but every room, even though they're painted light beige, always look so dark to me! Her living room especially looks really dark and depressing like a little cave. Maybe that's why she wants to add an arch, to add more light?

I much preferred the light/white aesthetic she had when she was in the newbuild. Even the cottage felt brighter and that was oak/woody tones.

I do wonder how much she actually likes her house... Considering she said it was going to be their 'forever home', they seem to be making a lot of pointless changes and she has already mentioned moving house a few times. There is a part of me that feels as though she rushed into buying it because she wanted to be like Elle Darby for content.

The TV in the new media wall ... is an AD same as 'gifted'? Excuse the ignorance but I'm not up on these things lol.
