Thank you I'm no more a hero than every single one of you following the rules. Yesterday I just lost my sh*t at her mind numbing stories. I just can't comprehend how she can so easily bend the rules. I'd love to take her to work with me for a week and explain over the phone to helpless families why they can't visit their loved ones or sit with patients with dementia or with learning disabilities who are so distressed thinking their loved ones have forgotten them.

She would never be able to do your job, she doesn’t have empathy or appreciation of anything below surface level.

I just can’t imagine why anyone would be choosing to put their kids in nursery right now. Mine have had to go to school, I even risked my job by refusing them going at the start of lockdown and negotiated a 50/50 home/site working but that only lasted a few months and we’ve been in full time ever since. To claim she requires childcare just blows my mind. Big respect to everyone out there who actually knows what real life is!!
