Doesn’t surprise me one bit she doesn’t do elf on the shelf.

From day one she’s never interacted with those children. They were in front of the tv when they were newborns so she could do her make up. She takes them to classes and groups every single day so someone else has to think of the entertainment. She only ‘plays’ with them at home if it’s for an ad, she’s barking orders at them to get them to perform for the camera or it’s the weird 10 minutes one on one time they do with them.

She has never ever done anything purely for their benefit or enjoyment. It’s all for her sanity and to keep her in control.

Something involving effort only from her and no benefit to her? Nah forget it.

She’s awful. Elf on the shelf doesn’t have to be an inconvenience. I do it with all the antics for my two as they love it and they only enjoy the magic for such a short time! My friend does the elf but doesn’t do “antics” she literally moves the elf into a different place each night and the kids find him in the morning. They love that. Not hard! She’s a misery unless it benefits HER! I bet she will have some expensive makeup or skincare advent herself.

I don’t know if I’m surprised or not that she’s not doing elves. Not that she ever does anything for just the boys pleasure but she loves showing off, is highly competitive and it would probably up her engagement that she’s so desperate for. Although she doesn’t have an original thought in her head. Anyway good luck with it all come Thursday flopps, when the boys come home from nursery asking why they haven’t got elves and the other kids have.

Don’t shoot me…I have got something in common with Fopps! I refuse to do the Elf! And my daughter actually has never asked for one or felt left out. But then I do spend a lot of time with my daughter (despite working full time) and play with her and listen to her and don’t filter her photos so I am not going to feel bad about an elf

nor do you have to feel bad, with fopps it's more because we see she has time to do it and doesn't ever dedicate much else to what the boys want so for her to say she's not bothering with it just feels typically fopps, zero effort and zero disruption to her time. Im sure the boys would rather have quality time with her like your daughter gets with you than the elf antics anyway, sad thing is they get neither

You're right, people are always looking for ideas for elf on the shelf, she would have had her posts shared and maybe even saved like she begs people to do she's has no idea that a golden opportunity to up her appalling engagement is passing her by.

If she does now its definitely only as a result of Tattlers saying that she wont do it.

Looking forward to the backtrack haha. she will say that the boys have begged her for it, despite probably never hearing the phrase elf on the shelf in their lives before

Was just about to comment saying wait for the braggy post about where they’ve taken the boys today but I see she’s already done it. Half 9 on a Monday when most of us are at work and kids are in childcare they are at ANOTHER trampoline place. They always like to show off taking them out after they’ve had more time away from them.

She's so hypocritical saying advent calendars are more than enough on the run up to Christmas and not to feel pressured into doing something, yet she was buying Hot Wheels (saying they were a good stocking filler) and advertising toys the other week! She has no self awareness!

One thing I would say about the elf is once you start it’s hard to stop doing it again so in a way it’s good advice to avoid doing it as long as you can! My kids really love it though.

I’d have loved to do elf on the shelf when the kids were smaller they are now too old to do it which is such a shame ! Her kids are ideal ages! Lazy ass cow !
