Vegetable and cheese!yummmm what is the filling?
Its such a horrible time. I hope you can get something sorted. Enjoy some comfort foodI have just had bad news about my job (probably will be made redundant and have my period) so I think my lunch will be super unhealthy oven chips and quorn nuggets... maybe with a salad (maybe)
looks amazing, also quite peppery (which I love!) I had for the first time the other day, from a carribean shop near me, a jamaican patty , similar ish (but not really, pastry totally different ) to a pasty. I loved it and couldn;t believe I hadn't had one before! Tbh everything in patry is greatVegetable and cheese!
duck the salad, have a chip sandwich Also love a patty they’re so good! I think this is a Scottish saying but what’s meant for you will not pass you by, have a (Dino?) nap and be kind to yourself the next few days, remember this won’t matter in a few weeks, promise! xxI have just had bad news about my job (probably will be made redundant and have my period) so I think my lunch will be super unhealthy oven chips and quorn nuggets... maybe with a salad (maybe)
controversial opinion... but not a fan of the chip sandwich! what is a dino nap?? Wishing I had not eaten all of my (stockpile) cans of mushy peas though, nothing better than that and chipsduck the salad, have a chip sandwich Also love a patty they’re so good! Are you anywhere near St. Ives? I remember visiting a very old school bakery there that had delicious pasties, Swiss Rolls (never had such a good Swiss Roll) and saffron bread and buns. It was called SH Ferrell and Sons.Vegetable and cheese!
I am also having wine to calm myself but thanks, loving all the support on this threadDid it cost you seventeen pounds or was I ripped off when I visited?

That looks SOO good! It's probably over 10 years since this frau has enjoyed the delights of a 'genuine' cornish pastie...Wotcha
This was my lunch today.
Thank you . Got some sleep and then this morning handed the baby over at 6am to catch some sleep ahead of my other half starting work (from home). So true about sleep deprivation being torture and where your mind then goes . I jolt awake thinking I’ve fallen asleep with the baby only to realise I’m hugging the quilt and the baby is in the crib next to me. The juggling with two isn’t as bad as I expected (maybe my expectations were super low?!) but I get mum guilt with the eldest.Just caught up - @EddieBeds hope you got some sleep? You’re not being unreasonable or anything bad, sleep deprivation is legit torture it makes you think crazy things and feel like the end is nigh / you will never sleep again. It drives you insane, also at night you don’t even get the deep proper sleep as any baby stir you jolt up so you need that time. Please tell us you got your sleep? Also you’re doing a fantastic job, I have no idea how parents of multiple children do it.
Husband may be going away (up north, funnily!) for an event thing & feel confident I’ll be okay, but it is scary?! Gonna get microwave meals cos I don’t like leaving baby by herself for very long but I never find them v filling even though the traffic light system on them is always like RED RED RED and then an orange for sugar
I love leek & potato soup. Mind sharing the recipe? I tried THAT MAN’S one from his Ministry of Food book but it came out super watery. Yours looks lovely.I made some leek and potato soup today from scratch and it turned out pretty good!
