@EllaEm87 Iā€™m so sorry. That stinks and youā€™re lovely, which is the opposite of unloveable. I just found this old pic of Bad Cat (RIP) which I give to your exes for free ā¤

@kachoochoo I used to do payroll, we always put people as ā€œoffā€ for a year if they went off and werenā€™t sure of a return. It stops you getting overpaid, not actually anything to do with if we expect you back or not! Suspect itā€™s something like that. And you can carry 2 days leave over if youā€™re off sick and canā€™t use them x

My love - Iā€™m so sorry and sending love. No one is unloveable not even a complete head who says things like that to someone else, sorry to be rude about them but sounds like theyā€™re projecting some tit, lack accountability, and are centred in ego which is a miserable existence to have. Who tf are they to class anyone as unloveable? The bleeping love jury? What a bleeping loser chuck that sentence straight in the bin.

I havenā€™t dated or even gotten to 35+ lol so no help there but honestly the tit I read on mums groups youā€™re so so so so so much better off with a quality angel of a partner that comes later than youā€™d wanted/expected than everything ticked off and some of the vile cretins you read about. I know not everyone wants kids so not suggesting that but anyway, whatā€™s meant for you will not pass you by and youā€™ll get through this and into better things ā¤
Trying to catch-up. Being single isn't as bad as anybody makes out. I promise. I didn't choose to be, but my oh died 4 years ago and I've had to reinvent my life. You can do it, too. Especially with the help of the fab folk here. X

ooh, saw the pritchards mentioned on the mt, in a poor context, so didn't think it'd be cool to remind everyone of their terrible acting there. but if lennie briscoe was still posting around these parts, they'd be the first to share this timeless piece of classical acting, like they have done regularly on the strictly threads. and i mean nothing but respect there. this is just šŸ‘©ā€šŸ³šŸ‘ŒšŸ‘„ in terms of guest appearances in soaps...

i mean, it's incredible that hollyoaks didn't keep the pritchards longer!

Omg in the pandemic (or possibly even before? What is time anymore) we got into watching Hollyoaks loool it really draws you in with just how insanely dramatic it is? Like I know eastenders and Corrie have had their murderers but none of them were meeting in coffee shops in the middle of the day to have a blazing row about their crimes, or conducting so many affairs. I think it was a cyber crime storyline that got us hooked it was so ridiculous lol.

It being just before ch4 news was the gateway drug as weā€™d end up catching the last 5 and thinking wtaf is going on here and before you know it youā€™re catching the whole episode šŸ˜³ couldnā€™t have it on now LO is in a repeating everything she hears era imagine what an ott villain sheā€™d become

I'm a bit behind but wanting to show some love to @EllaEm87. I hope Nala gives you all the love you need. (We are here for you too)

Also @HotesTilaire Aus has three time zones when there aren't 5. If you look at a map it goes Western, Central and Eastern in vertical blocks. Some zones such as QLD and NT don't change clocks at all. Eg My brother in Darwin is currently 90 minutes behind me but when Daylight Saving ends in April he'll only be half an hour behind as he doesn't change his clocks at all. Did that make sense?
I've just woken up from a Stemetil induced nap and I'm a groggy monster.

Half hour time zones always seem a bit odd to me, but I've only ever been in places that are GMT or CET (plus daylight saving time in those places).

We call the end of Hollyoaks ā€˜murder minuteā€™ šŸ˜¬

Iā€™m a long-time lurker on here and the MT and I always really love reading all your chat but am usually too far behind to contribute. I felt compelled to reply to @EllaEm87 though as Iā€™m going through something similar.

Itā€™s a different set of circumstances in that the warning signs were there. My partner had been telling me for months - via long, long texts - that there were things he was unhappy about and how it was affecting him but we have very different communication styles and I buried my head in the sand and hoped that everything would magically be okay somehow.

He eventually ended things about a month ago and itā€™s been the worst time of my life. I feel bereft and then feel guilty for even thinking that itā€™s similar, especially as a woman I work with recently lost her husband to cancer. My confidence is at rock bottom and Iā€™ve been tearful and achingly sad for much of the time. Iā€™m also a little bit angry that heā€™s given up on me and on us. He says he still loves me and always will and in many ways, that makes it harder.

Sorry for totally me-railing but your post just really resonated. Like you, I have a small circle of friends and Iā€™ve let those friendships slide in the last few years (I have a daughter from my failed marriage and the only time I donā€™t have her has been spent with my partner). I know I wonā€™t always feel like this and things will get better but that doesnā€™t make the here and now any less tit. Sending love.

It's to do with the time the sun sets and the way the states and Territories are carved up, it sets half an hour earlier in Eastern Oz than it does in the bottom centre (South Australia).

Hello Frauen, sorry to be the bringer of sad vibes but ā€¦

mr em dumped me on Sunday completely out of the blue. Said he doesnā€™t love me anymore. Iā€™ve been totally pathetic since, canā€™t work, get out of bed, stop crying. I know it will pass in time but right now itā€™s SO HARD and my self worth is rock bottom. I feel like Iā€™m just fundamentally unlovable (an ex once told me that) and I just cannot get it together. I saw no warning signs, nothing. Please tell me dating at 35+ isnā€™t going to be a complete nightmare. I thought mr em was my future šŸ˜•I feel like my whole world has imploded on me
You poor darling, I'm so sad for you. Bleak it is, no denying it. I'm one of the ones here for you x

How many are there in winter, then?
Three. Eastern Australia: Queensland*, NSW, Australian Capital Territory. Victoria, Tasmania;

Central Australia: Northern Territory* and South Australia; and

the third is the giant land that is Western Australia*.

* these two states and the NT don't utilise daylight saving time ever. They are or extend so far north the people would melt. In Queensland (the only non DST state I can comment on first hand) this means that 4am is a fecking nightmare, with the night birds intersecting with the dawn birds in a cacophony of jarring calls

I'm so sorry. bleeping men.
This has made me smile a but. Like Sharon/Shazza in Bridget Jones's Diary, I admit to occasionally being the friend who shouts out "duck them/him" at these times.

@ please let me know when or if you become ready for this. I can do "all men are bastards! (#notallmenactually)" as well
