Beach town kid here. We never wore shoes in the summer. The bottoms of our feet were as tough as leather from walking on rocks, sand, and hot asphalt. It was a lot safer back then because people flushed condoms, towns didn't hand out free needles, and people swallowed their saliva. Ahh the good old days!
Going barefoot in Jacksonville in 2021 is damn stupid.

Piggy was freaking out because Crystal was using the fan and the fan is fake. Or as Piggy said, "It's real but it's fake" It doesn't vent outside because of where they put it but Piggy just had to have that island stove top. So technically, it's a "real" air extractor but it doesn't actually extract air. It's there for looks. At the time Crystal didn't know that Piggy n' Ass are fake as duck. She knows now.

Little Piglet is amazed someone can actually reach and see the useless control panel--especially when it's a tall, dark and strapping young woman who has more testosterone than her husband has ever had!

I think that is exactly what happened... Crystal was trying to use a "prop" and that is why she gave P that look after. Their house is like a giant selfie world... wonder what else isn't real?? No wonder P doesn't cook much in her new kitchen.

Ya that person has posted some pretty crazy comments on FA vlogs. Hadn't seen any in awhile I thought maybe after DCP read the "abby companion doll" unhinged comments that Ass shadow banned the guy.

And before anyone comments that he is special needs, it doesn't matter. A disabled person is just as capable of being dangerous as anyone else. More so in some cases if they don't have the capacity to understand

Thanks for mentioning that it doesn't matter if this pervert is "special needs" or not....getting tired of people pulling out the autism/special needs card for everything to cover their ass. If Ab is progressing and communicating as well as Assinie says she is....she would have learned way more by now. Like potty training. She, like Asshole, "only learns what she wants to learn". Just out of curiosity, why do you think what happened last time with Abbie and that horrid toilet video won’t happen again? Didn’t Asshole show Abbie naked on the toilet in a vlog to stir up comments and people here said that as he walked past (in the vlog) that he knew what he was doing and called him “a sly little duck”?? He’s creepy with how he displays Abbie..

I don't remember him showing Abbie naked. There was a less than two second scene where she was sitting on the toilet while Ass walked past. I don't even know it was deliberate. And in the other video from years ago she was wearing pants and he still got a ton of backlash for it. I doubt he is going to repeat that.

I also have autism and I am literally an "autism expert" (as in I wrote my thesis about it and am working in the field). I wanted to write about the functioning thing anyway, and being addressed is the best starting point.
I will continue to use functioning, because this is more intuitive to understand. This is a gossip forum and a lot of people don't know a lot about autism. I even use it after the initial diagnosis with parents who are still confused about what that means (even though I go more in depth of course. Something that isn't possible here).
Abbie is pretty much the epitome of what we used to call low functioning. I am the first to say that she is smarter than we give her credit for, but as of now she needs a ton of support across the board.
This word policing and this ever moving goal post of using the "correct" term (as @paolo has already said) is actually detrimental in the long run, because it alienates people and doesn't leave any room to fight against the discrimination that is still very real and has a more direct impact on our lives.

Generally speaking, we all (autistic or not) have thinks we don't like to read. Stuff that bothers me for example is the "we" used by people on the spectrum. "We don't like", "We prefer". My diagnosis doesn't make me a part of some ominous hive mind and I don't have to agree with things other people with autism are saying. Of course you can say whatever you want, I can't stop you and I don't want to but please extend that right to everyone else as well.

I used to work in the field. I know the game and I am quite over having to change my vocabulary every other year to accommodate whatever the current standard of wokeness/political correctness happens to be.

Abbie does almost nothing for herself. They have filmed her daily for years and years and her disabilities and abilities are quite obvious. Any imagined cognitive or physical abilities beyond what are exhibited are parental and humper fantasies.

Saying she is low functioning most certainly doesn't mean she is less than human. I cannot even fathom that someone suggested it was. It's just how she is and the decent thing is to accept her the way she is.

Asshole did show Ab sitting on the toilet, from the waist up, with the toilet seat up, as it should be if you are going potty, etc. Why would he have the toilet seat up if she wasn't peeing? I personally would not sit directly on the toilet seat like that unless I was using it. Ewwww.....

Hell, I don't think ANYONE in this world we live in is an autism specialist. Seriously. Autism has way to many layers. Only a small few common denominators but even then that's not always true. That's why Mr. Fathering Autism is a bleeping joke.

I really like Crystal's genuineness in how she interacted with Abbie, Asa, Priscilla and others. She seems easy to get to know. Emily, Asa's sister, seemed more shy at first.

I agree, especially when autism can range from "would never have guessed you had it unless you mentioned it" to someone like Abbie who needs help with almost everything. It's hard to believe that someone from both ends of the spectrum could have the same experiences and be able to speak for one another.
I am usually on board with changing my vocabulary if it keeps from hurting someone's feelings, but when things change so frequently it can be hard to keep up. Usually words change when they become so apart of the vernacular that they become fodder for school yard bullies and late night comedians. Like how the the "r word" was once official medical jargon until we as a society made it an ugly word...but then with some it still is. My sister recently got on with a medical program she has been on a 15 year waiting list for and the first brochure they sent billed themselves as the "Mental R--------n Authority." I was like whaaat!?
Though maybe if professionals had been a little more transparent with A & P (that she is "low-functioning" and likely always will be) they would be closer to accepting Abbie for who she is and not still trying to make her into a typical teen? It's fine to have high hopes for your child, but surely it's not best to hold on to something that'll never happen.

I thought the exact same thing until I watched that part of the vlog a few times then it became almost heartbreaking to watch.

She was clearly confused. She could barely hold up that serving dish as her hands were shaking so badly.
Instead of helping her, ASSa just kept filming her struggling. I'm surprised she didn't drop the serving dish.

Either she was attempting to transfer all the risotto into that serving dish (not sure why as all the food was all set to be served as it was)
or
She grabbed the serving dish and began using that to put her dinner into, which was quite a struggle for her. So she stopped at one scoop then put the serving dish on the island, which we see in the vlog.

The vlog then jumped ahead to her walking away with a plate of food.
What we don't see is someone helping her get food on an actual plate.

It was painful to watch her walking away with her plate as well, I kept waiting for her to lose her grip on it.
That poor thing is so very frail and appears so lost.
