Damn I hate defending them, but she goes to the doctor. Ive seen so many of those boring blogs since 2017. She goes to her PC every six months, OB/GYN every 3 for Depo, and Psychiatrist every 6 months as well. I recall one dental visit which they didnt film, just vlogged going in.

And I mean, as much as I hate it, I'm with you on defending them against things that are just factually wrong...however she's not necessarily getting complete medical care just because she's going to doctors on a regular basis. They've just recently gotten her to consistently sit through getting her BP taken...and remember the whole production over desensitizing her to vitals and blood draws by practicing at home (which we've never seen them follow through on)? I'm not sure she's really getting a yearly physical in the way that we would think of it...is she getting a full workup with CBC, CMP, urinalysis, etc., or are A&P just declining that for her because it would be too difficult? I'm assuming she doesn't get a full exam at the gyno (and I wouldn't disagree with that decision, to be clear) and I would almost guarantee they have no plans on ever taking her to get a bone density scan.

There are probably a lot of gaps in her medical care, partially by choice and partially by necessity. And again, with a patient like Abbie, it's a situation where you just have to weigh the risks against the benefits for her as an individual...and it's also a situation where you might just accept certain gaps in her care, and do alternative things to try and mitigate the risks. I don't really have faith that A&P are thinking about (or even really capable of understanding, given their willful ignorance about pretty much everything) or planning to mitigate those risks, however.

The way she was like whisper talking to Abby on the couch about how it's okay to say she is frustrated and take a break felt like a person who was at the end of their rope because the caregivers don't even try to help Abbie, And she sees this poor helpless child crumbling before her eyes. I'm sure she sees plenty of parents who are incredibly involved and their children don't regress every 2 seconds to practical infants. I don't think Brandy likes them or thinks very much of them but sticks it out to try to help Abby. And I was surprised that they were all wearing masks for her this time, They never have before.

Yeah, that really got to me...her focus over the past year or so seems to be more and more on giving Abbie the tools to say "no" and "I don't like this," and IDK, seeing her talk to Abbie like that actually made me a little emotional, because you never see anyone speak to Abbie that way. She interacts with Abbie as a human being, with dignity and rights, not a pet or a prop like everyone else in her life.
