It is almost a guarantee I think that they will try to at least write some of it off. Claim it is a studio/filming space. Not like P uses it for actually cooking anyway. Abbie has IDD and autism, can't blow her nose and is always sticking her fingers in her nose. Let's not forget Cilly and Summer both rub their nose often.. I think this all the time. Like why isn't her ipad more accessible? I mean maybe it is and we don't see it. I used to work with a kid who had a communication device ipad and then a fun ipad the communication device was locked so that's all it was. I would take pictures of things around his house and add them to the iPad program so he could start communicating appropriately instead of yelling and pulling and having behaviors. I mean they could add literally everything in that house to the iPad so there's far more to ask for or talk about. When she asks for cereal give that to her rather than convince her that she wants a "bar". If she pulls you make her use her ipad for communication. I mean some effort and consistance would help at this point.Honestly at this point I feel like the whole "I wish Abbie would speak" thing is just insulting. It keeps the focus on what she CAN'T do, and avoids addressing how they've done basically fuck all to give her other ways to communicate. If you really wanted to know what she's thinking, you would work on her signs and put more words on her iPad...but here you are, wishing over your birthday candles so the humpers can boo-hoo about what a caring dad you are, while she's limited to "Zaxby's" and "pretzels."
