Asa and Priss really do act like they're high school friends of Isaiah and Summer most of the time. It's definitely a case of arrested development. Their lives stopped at 18/19 when she got knocked up, so they're living their teen/college years now and it's embarrassing. The odd hours, coffee runs, tik tok. running around on the golf cart and scooters... that is not the behavior of adults. I'm 26 and I'd never act like they do.

Thank you. My step-dads new wife is like this. My fiancé came to Christmas this year and she bought him and I “sexy” underwear and the were tossed around in front of my very strict gma and 5/10/12 year old cousins. I don’t see her as a parent and I never will, but be a parent and not a friend.

But aren't the 'teen years' BEFORE them?! I mean I'm nineteen now turning twenty this year and I STILL wouldn't act that way....or maybe that's just me lol

This made me so upset, “Abigail from Fathering Autism”. You literally couldn’t let them just say Abigail Maass? Any chance to plug the channel.
Every time I think they have reached the pinnacle of using Abby for their selfish benefit they not only raise the bar but shot put over it. I can't figure out if they take it as a challenge to see just how much they can use that poor child for their gain or if it has become their career choice. Either way I think the letters A-M-S-E and H have been removed from their alphabet because apparently the word shame is not in their vocabulary. Disgusting. The only time they let Abby have the spotlight is when they are filming her in negative light. If she is doing something good one of them jumps in front of the camera or distracts by flapping their yap. 😡

I’m holding out hope that Isaiah will find a life of his own in college that has nothing to do with his sister. He is accomplished and has his own interests and hobbies — I think he could go far in life if he can break free of his family.
Great kid, but even his dad pokes fun at him for his outlandish & goofy costumes & school spirit. He’s just like his mom. It’s ok to be weird, but kinda can’t wait until TikTok fades away. Social media will just move on to the next fad tho. Everyone thought Vine was dead.

I saw Becca & bf pics on IG. They seem happy. I only glanced for a sec. I can’t stand IG. I refuse to even click on the Tiktok announcing Abbie.

I too liked the shorter dress on her...& I agree, there was no explanation about this Tim Tebow prom. I even thought Sam here went to theirs for a sec. I was confused.

Love the Flintstones car comment from days ago. I can’t unsee that! Someone on YT said it’s a Polaris. It’s clearly not a golf cart & their fans keep referring to it as one. Very true on not as many things for Abbie to do in their new neighborhood. The community pool & park was better for her in the longterm.

Some here have said that A&P hope Abbie can be more self sufficient when she’s an adult. I don’t see it that way. I think they’ve modeled after Jamie (the severe ASD w/ major SIB on YT) in hopes that she can stay at home w/ 24/7 caregivers. It recently dawned on me that as long as they can profit off her on YT, it’s to their benefit to keep her living at home.

I have a cpl screenshots from a FB post on Cody Speaks. I wasn’t sure what the gal was so mad about & then I noticed that sure enough, both Cody’s parents & FA on FB have that same forced upon by FB “support us” button. I didn’t click it, but I guess it asks to pay $5/mo? Cody’s mom made a vid weeks ago acting somewhat upset over that change. Who knows. It’s free money. I doubt they’re that upset. They’d leave FB if they truly were. But not before they collect every kids VHS & DVD for Cody. It’s awkward to watch the repetitive VHS collecting in a house full of repetitive decor. 🤔

omg that's so bleeping rude!!! The other parents are probably going to see, it's like they don't even care if people think they're rude
So they were expecting more parents to be dancing around? Less ppl are like that nowadays thx to the loss of social skills (everyone has seen too much of others lives) from social media. Plus, too many ppl filming I suppose. Did they juice up before they left or something? Why would they slam other adults w/ special needs children?!

It used to shock me how they’d complain about parents after PTA meetings. Saying things like ppl don’t volunteer, etc. I’m sure these PTA or JSA parents have seen the vlogs. Remember when they made fun of the neighbor who always had his garage door open & looked angry? (I think that’s along the lines of what they said). Then they ended up walking over to his house for a vlog. I thought, what if the guy looked back on the vlogs & heard what they were saying about him? So I don’t feel bad giving my 2 cents here.

I have to say that I follow Cody Speaks and it is certainly a much better platform. They are not about branding everything. The mom will often do informative videos by herself about how Cody is doing and some of the work they are doing with him without the lectures and trying to advertise with affiliate links.
They do provide dignity to Cody which I like.
It was tgat channel that me see the complete clusterfuck of a channel fathering autism is.

Yes, Abbie had way for freedom in her old community. I can’t stand the new one...

My oldest did go to her Night to Shine event. I was unable to go because I have 3 other kiddos at home and we don’t have respite care for the other 3 kids. We had 1 worker but she was fired. So until I find appropriate coverage, I have to stay home with the others and have her respite worker take her to events..

That button isn’t a requirement for FB either!! I know, I have a page myself and it doesn’t have that button and if they require it, I will be deleting my page. I refuse to allow it...

Oh wow! So we have an old (ex) acquaintance of theirs in this group as well as an ASD family in their area too? Small world!

Sorry you are struggling to find the help that you need. Hope things get a little easier for you soon. But I know w/ parenting, things keep on coming our way....& then one day they’re nearly grown! sniff sniff

Anyway, I cannot WAIT for Spring. This is my 1st winter off the teeny tiny dose of an AD in over a decade, so SAD is dragging me down now! Blah! I’m so tempted to reach into my old stash, but I know it’s just a bandaid fix.

But...have a good day everyone!

I bought my daughter who struggles with depression and gets most out of sorts in winter a Verilux SAD light. It seems to really be working for her....now it could be placebo but anyway she feels better.

Band aid Smand aid...bring out the stash.😎 puff puff pass

Just watched the red carpet Tic Tok walk.:LOL: Becca has the Jethro walk down pat.

No doubt the other parents are being PARENTS. Not wanna be teen agers trying to live life through their kids. And why didn't they let the provided escorts walk Abby down the red carpet? STOP STEALING ABBY'S SPECIAL MOMENTS!! Summer and Becca need to know when to back off. Maybe she wouldn't enter without them and if that was the case fine. But if she could have and would have walked with an escort she wouldn't have had to be squeezed between them. And restraining her to get her nails done?! Can we say Control Freak behavior? You could have done clear polish and tiny stickers at home with no drama. Heck if she didn't want them done you could have..let's see here...umm..maybe..NOT FORCED HER TO! Some things ain't rocket science folks.

Wow! I zonked out last night and am just checking in.
The vlog is taking on a creep vibe. Or maybe it was always creepy and I'm allowing myself to see it for what it is and the parents for who they are. The seeds were there in the old house.
I want to have compassion for Priscilla, because my Mom felt she was stuck with my Dad. He wasn't quite like "Florida Man" to her. He was mean at times and dictated how we all lived. And the underlying tone was she couldn't leave do it didn't matter if she didn't like it. He is retired military and we call him Santini.
I have less and less empathy for P. Yes she was young when she met A. Yes they have Abbie. The more it all sinks in the more I think she stays because he cares for Abbie. She is a mess when he is gone, even with all the help. And she is so focused on Abbie being a "pretty girl." She wants a daughter with long hair who like getting her nails done. There is so much more to life.

I also have fine, very oily hair that tangles. I use degreasing shampoo and no conditioner and take the time to comb out tangles. Or I condition and it looks greasy before the day is over. I'm guessing Abbie doesn't combing out process so they condition it. (Why do they keep her hair long. If the goal independence and she struggles to brush it anyway, it makes no sense).
They made it a whole thing when they cut her hair a couple years back. They talked about how she chews her hair and it’s in her face so the short cut would be better but then Priscilla would lose her life size doll, oops I mean her “little princess”. That video was actually really creepy, they have way too much emotion tied up in her having long hair.

And let this sink in....the paid by the State of FL respite workers (who are also tipped, gifted, & paid PA employee) are now continuing to KISS Abbie on the cheek & tell her they LOVE her. BOUNDARIES folks. Ima just enjoying my popcorn.

(btw, stash meant an expired bottle of low dose AD....hahaha...but your mention sounds intriguing...my kids & entire fam would freak out if mommy ate a gummy for SAD & pain relief so I haven’t gone there...yet) 😋

Hey Asa and Priss.... maybe the other parents are "boring" because they're actually exhausted from having to work a real job and care for their special needs child every bleeping day unlike you two. Life's not a nonstop Dunkies party for everyone

When they cut her hair short, they said on FB...’how do you like it.’ Someone said they like her with long hair better. P tore into that commenter and said that was a very hurtful thing to say. Why ask then?

I think it's wild how they tear into any commenter who doesn't say something the "correct" way. Like even if it's misworded or something but they mean well. They always assume the worst. Like a HUGE part of your fanbase is autistic..... you don't know if the person you're being mean to has autism and just didn't phrase something in the exact way you like. You ASKED. Like how do they not consider that?? I'm sure they've probably hurt a lot of well-meaning fans because they nitpick and never give them the benefit of the doubt.

My granddaughter's sorority had 20 members including my granddaughter walk 20 young ladies down the red carpet at the Night to Shine event. She is a student at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.

1- I’m attached to my very long hair just due to having above the ear hair until 6th grade. I was bullied for having short hair. But even I understand that it’s just hair.
2- This comment was awhile up, but that nail polish that they used it quick drying. I use it all the time, it takes about 15/20 seconds to dry, didn’t need a hairdryer.
3- And I’m ready to just start calling them out on vlogs but don’t want to get insulted by the Kool-aid crew.

If they don't want to cut her hair then at least get her hair layered or tapered to give her some style and possibly some soft bangs.
Give her some dignity. Her hair is stragley and just there.
