Maverick was given to them by an organization, after another company refused to let Abbie have one. Abbie was refused a service dog by a company because she wouldn’t be able to make a connection, nor would it be seen as valuable for her to have a dog. (Even for elopement, the person has to show with slight resistance, the ability to stop and we all know Abbie, even being tied to a chair, would fight, scream and try to still get away, which would possibly hurt or injure a service dog). Abbie never used Maverick in his attended training because A&P were both lazy in trying to work with them. So, Maverick quickly untrained himself in commands and abilities (totally not his fault).
She was hurtful towards him as well,I remember a vlog where Asa and her went on a walk with Maverick and outta the blue she had a tantrum and kept hitting him with his leash

This is exactly the answer I thought it would be. They suck so hard.

You better not let your dog hear you say that, lol.
I’m still stupid sick, not with the Covid and I’m bored. I just can’t get on the Honking Across America bullshit. If Assa had any smart bone in his body he’d know “America” is not just the states.
I haven’t shared Dog for a while. This is the first thing I see in the morning. Much, much better that Tinkerhogs face!!

And it’s so damn boring this year. Last year at least they visited some gorgeous places. This year it’s more cities, visiting people, less “camping”. This year it’s the worlds largest rubber stamp, the corn palace, visiting with the two ton huns, and more footage of restaurants than anything

Todays glut, enormous burger with peanut butter and jelly and a pound of fries. #105lbsDown
Still behind, sorry. Did they seriously go to see the stamp? I know why it’s there, but did they have to make the design so ugly?

So they are lazy with dogs too, as much as they are now. And took the chance of someone else having a dog for their child. That F'd up

And did you notice they arrive with nothing in the way of a gift to say thank you for having us to stay. So mean, so mannerless, so ungrateful.
Typical, she probably promised to bring some slime Life Products to her, then just like the humpers she says she's all out, but sends her to where she can buy some samples. Oh and use her code so she can get credit.😉😊 she is such a shady witch!

An important distinction:

they were turned down by the first organization because Abbie was immediately rough with a dog they had on the premises - to hear Asa tell the story they were pretty much escorted out immediately after arriving (and I think it was quite a long drive away, too). Priscilla cried in the vlog about how unfair it was.

Maverick came from a second organization. He was trained in service work by an incarcerated person in (Georgia?) - they got him as a small pup, then after a few weeks or months he was sent to the facility to be trained, then came back to the rental.

They claim they "retired" Mav before the vlogging started on a regular basis because Abbie no longer needed him for emotional regulation. She could handle all that on her own.
Obviously that's not the truth. She can't regulate.
They expected a service dog who would do all the work of elopement prevention and emotional regulation on his own, to be an adorable accessory to walk Abbie down the beach during SFA events and through Walmart while they shopped, and they wanted immediate results without the need for them to do any maintenance training with poor Mav.

Very recently Asa was talking about Maverick. I'll try to find it, I think they were walking the dogs at the time.
He said Mavericks "purpose" was to be tethered to Abbie so she couldnt elope.
He said once Abbie got bigger Maverick couldnt stop her, so they "retired" him.

His story changed???

Years ago, at the rental, they made a vlog where it was that Abbie didn't need him as a service dog anymore because she could now handle regulating by herself.

I have no idea. Ive never heard him say anything about emotional regulation, only elopement. But it certainly wouldnt surprise me if he had numerous stories!

Ok, this is old, but at the about the 4:00 mark, he says Abbie never needed a therapy dog, he was for elopement...and hes now retired.
This was easier than sifting through the past few months of vlogs lol.

Abbie is looking more and more special needs the older she gets.
If her parents didn't dress her in awful clothes and do her hair in the most unflattering "styles", Abbie would look so much better. Considering that Cilldebeast fancies herself a maven of all things fashion and beauty, she has done a shite job of keeping Abbie looking well dressed and groomed. I know that I'm a broken record, but Kaitlyn dresses Kaidale beautifully. It is so obvious that he is loved and cherished by his mother.

Too bad Asshat didn't get the video of him falling down the stairs.. that would have been comedy gold... the only thing funnier would be P falling down the stairs.

Yea, Asa changed so many stories on the service dog (the first company and then the second), that who only knows what the actual truth is…
I also couldn’t see emotional regulation even being a skill that Maverick could be trained in, for Abbie. Abbie rarely would even get close to Maverick, so how would he even get to her, to allow to be petted (also, any dog can almost be trained in that). When you are talking emotional regulation, it is usually to keep the person save, by distracting and blocking the ability for them to hurt themselves. I could maybe see them trying to get Maverick to block Abbie from biting herself but again, it has to be worked on and Abbie has to be receptive to the help. Just like the eloping. Maverick isn’t going to be able to stop it completely, if the other person isn’t receptive to stop. Kids on the spectrum, even 30lbs, can have huge Hulk strength and drag a 60lb dog down the street.
Personally, I was totally pissed off! We have been needing a service dog for 2 of our kids (per our doctors). We tried the prison camp route and it went really bad (organization failed to tell us dog never lived in a house, around kids, and failed diabetes school because it wrecked the diabetes trainers house) and we had to turn the dog back in. We have tried other organizations and been told a $15-25k donation is required to get one and we don’t know a lot of people or companies willing to donate even a portion of funds. GoFundMe’s don’t go far either. I don’t see how some can get funded in 2-3 days.
