Sometimes Georgie has sweat marks and I wonder if she is against anti-perspirant. I hope it doesn’t further perpetuate the stereotype that all vegans don’t wear anti-perspirant/don’t bathe/are smelly.

I used to be a fan of Mia's until I realised how disconnected she is from my teenager experiences and her new video just makes her look a little deluded... I'm sure she's creative and able to write something worthwhile but it's hard not to think that the only reason for her books being a success is because she has a family with prior, large, following. As someone who has been interested in literature and writing novels and being the same age as her, it feels a bit dishonest for her to give tips. I've joined and applied for countless writing comptetitions hopping to gain some sort of recognition, and Mia just needs to write whatever gibberish she wants and gets praised by her young audience. This may just be spite, but I do believe she has had way too big of a head start to be giving out tips and explaining how she did it all "on her own".

the only thing I’ve seemed to learn is “self published = you’re tit at writing but have money”

Doesn’t sound out of spite at all. Any success Mia has had is only down to the family fizz channel, which in turn was Darren and Georgie getting lucky and being in the right place at the right time with their family YouTube channel.

She’s just explaining how self publishing works, so I don’t think the word “dishonest” even makes sense here. I definitely understand your disappointment with not getting exposure for your work, but that doesn’t make Mia less deserving of success. Try to channel some of that disappointment towards your own success, rather than calling another author’s work gibberish. I’ve learned that resentment towards others only holds you back...so that’s why I’m saying this...I’m not trying to sound preachy.
My point was more focused on the fact it's hard to connect to Mia as a role model or influencer, she has been gifted this pedestal by her parents that other teenages aren't as lucky to recieve. Don't get me wrong, publishing a book at 15(?) is extremely impressive and kudos to her for doing so, but I just find it hard to relate to someone who definitely had it a lot easier to get recognised compared to the average teenager in highschool, who would've been forced to start from scratch and not from a 2 mil. fanbase.

That’s actually not true, and it’s probably a great way to bypass the brutal traditional publishing industry where you’re more likely to get rejected than accepted (Harry Potter got rejected by 12 publishers).
Fully aware of that, wasn’t going on about anyone else pretty much just Mia and her attitude to why you should go to publishers

I wonder how much longer they’ve going to carry on with YouTube, they’re views and content quality have been decreasing since last year and since they’re apparently set for life it’s not like they need the money now. You can tell they’re not doing it for the money so much now because they barely put any effort into making videos. It’s so sad to think they built a fan base of over 2 million, sharing interesting and well produced content but now it seems it was all about the money and they really didn’t care much about their viewers. The whole “fizz fam” was just a ploy to get people to think they care about them so they watch their videos and spend money on their merch.

The 2 million fan base won't mean bugger all if they stop making videos. They'll forget there ever was a Family Fizz in a couple of months. The problem with Family Fizz is their YouTube fame has gone to their head and they think if they stop doing YouTube, they'll still be famous.

Will they? Very much doubt it.

If they've got the money to live on, I suggest just quietly leave YouTube and stop making absolute tits of themselves just for views. But again... will they? I very much doubt it.

Mia reusing old video ideas in her new video I see. How boring.
I’d be interested to see them do a day in the life video of what they get up to and where they go. And an insight into Mexican culture and what it’s like living there.

It does seem, even before COVID, they were holed up in places and not really going anywhere or doing anything. Also, I take it their bid for success in the USA came to nothing. I remember a few videos back they were trying to get Mia and Sienna on some Disney show in LA and then trying to sign up to Pocket Watch to release their merch. They were probably laughed out of the place!

]The more I watch them, The sadder I feel for Mia and Sienna. Sorry but Darren and Georgie are so selfish! What does Mia even do all day? Where are all her friends!!! She's always inside the house, making stupid videos, because she literally has nothing else to do!! She doesn't have anybody she can hang out with as she's in the middle of nowhere. Darren and Georgie have isolated her from everything. She should be out socialising with friends, having fun. They are stealing the best years of her life away from her, that she'll never get back. She has no clue what normal kids her age do, as other people have said, but that's not her fault either, her parents have brainwashed her into thinking this is okay and that it's a normal way to live. You'd think with Georgie being pregnant so young she would want Mia to have a normal teenage life, but apparently not. She's created her own little cult where her kids are trapped just like she was in her mother's religion, Mia will have to end up escaping just like she did. She's repeating the cycle. When I was her age I was with my friends pretty much all the time, going to their house after school, out with them at weekends. Doing fun things, having a laugh, hanging out with boys, going to the cinema, going out to eat, and being able to tell them things that you should tell your friends instead of your parents... I'm just catching up on their videos and one of them was titled "sleepover" something, and it was just her and Sienna pretending to have a sleepover together. Like how sad is that, she doesn't even have any friends who she can have an REAL sleepover with, she has to do it with her sister!! Jesus that is so sad! And a video about "eating [/FONT][/B]Mexican food for 24hrs" really? You're in Mexico, of course you're going to be eating Mexican food.

Watching the video and I agree that this is not spite at all, just a fact. I wonder if they pitched her book to some publishers. With their publicity it would have been quite easy to market and sell. I can imagine they would not have been on board with any advice or feedback tho, and if we go with Darren's attitude I can imagine they didn't continue any conversations with publishers if she did try pitch.

I worked in publishing myself and it was always seen as a bit of an embarrassment when potential new authors were flaunting that they were self-published. Being published with a reputable house is a stamp of approval and you work with professionals to polish and make the book the best possible version for readers. And through that process everyone learns something.

I'm not at all dismissing Mia's hard work and efforts, as a teenager she's very motivated to have completed the whole process and achieved a well selling book on Amazon. I agree though that her video comes across as dishonest because very obviously without her family platform she would not have the marketing and sales opportunity she has. It would have been much more honest for her to talk about entering writing competitions and feedback she'd received and criticism she'd learned from.

And once she's an adult to promote self publishing on LinkedIn or your CV as a serious achievement is not cool or credible (in my opinion). It doesn't reflect team work or engaging with opinions. It's a nice personal achievement for sure, but not a professional milestone. I think Mia could be great at many creative/practical jobs, but careers and vocations like hairdressing and writing are both crafts and require years of training, dedication and, unfortunately, learning from experienced people and criticism which I don't think the fizz fam condone as they prefer to be in a bubble outside of the real world.

That “prank” was actually just plain evil on Georgie’s part. Especially to do that infront of their younger ones. Sienna wasn’t clearly crying to “act” she was genuinely hurt

I never comment on any thread and until now felt quite indifferent about them if I’m totally honest but today’s video made me feel uncomfortable! Totally out of line and those poor children being in on it!

That prank was pathetic. It wouldn't surprise me if Darren was actually in on it tbh.as he didn't sound bothered in the slighest and Mia holding the camera was an obvious giveaway to him.

They are really struggling for content. What next?
A prank on the kids of "You're all adopted"
Anything for views i guess.

Oh dear lol I can't even with Georgie's pranks. Her speech afterwards was sweet tho. I wish they'd put out more thoughtful and less scripted content. I'd love to learn about relocating and living in Mexico and about daily life challenges and perks. Georgie mentioned attending a closing of bones ceremony on Instagram that would have been a great video, even if they didn't show much footage

Wouldn’t put it past them, especially with how some people suspect Mia’s adopted because she doesn’t look that much like Georgie. Plus Mia’s done videos where she tries to prank Sienna and one time pretended they weren’t actually related by saying they have different mums, every single time she’s made her cry which just makes you think what sort of person thinks that’s ok to continually do to their little sister. One times still not the best thing to put online but family channels don’t seem to care about uploading them making kids cry, but to repeatedly do it for clickbait is just horrible and these videos were done by Mia who’s a kid herself. It’s like they’ve brought their kids up in a cult of pretty much doing anything they do for content and are repeating the cycle, teaching their children it’s ok to make people cry or do things that can be really mean and hurtful for content. I’m sure most siblings joke about one of them being adopted (my middle sister looks the least like us so we often joke about it) but she knows it’s a joke and if anything I joked about ever made someone cry I would never even think about making the same joke again or filming it so others can see. Even in today’s video when Sienna announced the baby fashion show she sounded like Darren doing an announcer voice, these children are turning into their parents and it’s a little worrying tbh.

Anything for views. Even if it does make your kid cry. Or that is how it seems.

I will admit I have only watched some of their videos and tbh i didnt really have an opinion on them until I started learning more about them.

It is very cult like, Darren is treating as if he is a god and seems very controlling.
Mia screeches and is being moulded into an adult already when I doubt she has much life experience that as kid her age would normally have. Very sheltered and regimented.
Sienna, now, she seems to be the forgotten one, unless it is to do a prank.
The younger ones are like their prized possessions or that is how it comes across.
Mia is the one who they want to have this dazzling YouTube career and Sienna? It is like they aren't that bothered.

There is a prank and then it is just cruel. I also think if she at any point wanted to not be shown on camera, she would be forced to and made to feel guilty for not participating.

Georgie is irritating af.
Just urgh..I can't even explain, just everything. She seems controlling to, not to the extent Darren does, but still verging on controlling.

Have they never heard of stability?

It is all about the views for them. Click bait. Pranks even if it is at the expense of your kids.

I realise I've gone off topic, apologies, just there is something about that family that ic ant quite put my finger on..just something doesn't ring true with them? Unsure if I'm making sense lol.

This last video...

It's started. The desperation for views and the absolute immorality to get them. I knew it would.

I found it highly uncomfortable to watch, very cringe, also very disrespectful to women that have to leave with their children if they have been in an abusive relationship.
