Sometimes Georgie has sweat marks and I wonder if she is against anti-perspirant. I hope it doesn’t further perpetuate the stereotype that all vegans don’t wear anti-perspirant/don’t bathe/are smelly.
Doesn’t sound out of spite at all. Any success Mia has had is only down to the family fizz channel, which in turn was Darren and Georgie getting lucky and being in the right place at the right time with their family YouTube channel. This may just be spite, but I do believe she has had way too big of a head start to be giving out tips and explaining how she did it all "on her own".
My point was more focused on the fact it's hard to connect to Mia as a role model or influencer, she has been gifted this pedestal by her parents that other teenages aren't as lucky to recieve. Don't get me wrong, publishing a book at 15(?) is extremely impressive and kudos to her for doing so, but I just find it hard to relate to someone who definitely had it a lot easier to get recognised compared to the average teenager in highschool, who would've been forced to start from scratch and not from a 2 mil. fanbase. She’s just explaining how self publishing works, so I don’t think the word “dishonest” even makes sense here. I definitely understand your disappointment with not getting exposure for your work, but that doesn’t make Mia less deserving of success. Try to channel some of that disappointment towards your own success, rather than calling another author’s work gibberish. I’ve learned that resentment towards others only holds you back...so that’s why I’m saying this...I’m not trying to sound preachy.
Fully aware of that, wasn’t going on about anyone else pretty much just Mia and her attitude to why you should go to publishersShe’s just explaining how self publishing works, so I don’t think the word “dishonest” even makes sense here. That’s actually not true, and it’s probably a great way to bypass the brutal traditional publishing industry where you’re more likely to get rejected than accepted (Harry Potter got rejected by 12 publishers).
The 2 million fan base won't mean bugger all if they stop making videos. They'll forget there ever was a Family Fizz in a couple of months. The problem with Family Fizz is their YouTube fame has gone to their head and they think if they stop doing YouTube, they'll still be famous.I wonder how much longer they’ve going to carry on with YouTube, they’re views and content quality have been decreasing since last year and since they’re apparently set for life it’s not like they need the money now. You can tell they’re not doing it for the money so much now because they barely put any effort into making videos. It’s so sad to think they built a fan base of over 2 million, sharing interesting and well produced content but now it seems it was all about the money and they really didn’t care much about their viewers. The whole “fizz fam” was just a ploy to get people to think they care about them so they watch their videos and spend money on their merch.
It does seem, even before COVID, they were holed up in places and not really going anywhere or doing anything. Also, I take it their bid for success in the USA came to nothing. I remember a few videos back they were trying to get Mia and Sienna on some Disney show in LA and then trying to sign up to Pocket Watch to release their merch. They were probably laughed out of the place!Mia reusing old video ideas in her new video I see. How boring.
I’d be interested to see them do a day in the life video of what they get up to and where they go. And an insight into Mexican culture and what it’s like living there.
Watching the video and I agree that this is not spite at all, just a fact. I wonder if they pitched her book to some publishers. With their publicity it would have been quite easy to market and sell. I can imagine they would not have been on board with any advice or feedback tho, and if we go with Darren's attitude I can imagine they didn't continue any conversations with publishers if she did try pitch.I used to be a fan of Mia's until I realised how disconnected she is from my teenager experiences and her new video just makes her look a little deluded... I'm sure she's creative and able to write something worthwhile but it's hard not to think that the only reason for her books being a success is because she has a family with prior, large, following. As someone who has been interested in literature and writing novels and being the same age as her, it feels a bit dishonest for her to give tips. I've joined and applied for countless writing comptetitions hopping to gain some sort of recognition, and Mia just needs to write whatever gibberish she wants and gets praised by her young audience. This may just be spite, but I do believe she has had way too big of a head start to be giving out tips and explaining how she did it all "on her own".
That prank was pathetic. It wouldn't surprise me if Darren was actually in on it tbh.as he didn't sound bothered in the slighest and Mia holding the camera was an obvious giveaway to him. That “prank” was actually just plain evil on Georgie’s part. Especially to do that infront of their younger ones. Sienna wasn’t clearly crying to “act” she was genuinely hurt
Wouldn’t put it past them, especially with how some people suspect Mia’s adopted because she doesn’t look that much like Georgie. Plus Mia’s done videos where she tries to prank Sienna and one time pretended they weren’t actually related by saying they have different mums, every single time she’s made her cry which just makes you think what sort of person thinks that’s ok to continually do to their little sister. One times still not the best thing to put online but family channels don’t seem to care about uploading them making kids cry, but to repeatedly do it for clickbait is just horrible and these videos were done by Mia who’s a kid herself. It’s like they’ve brought their kids up in a cult of pretty much doing anything they do for content and are repeating the cycle, teaching their children it’s ok to make people cry or do things that can be really mean and hurtful for content. I’m sure most siblings joke about one of them being adopted (my middle sister looks the least like us so we often joke about it) but she knows it’s a joke and if anything I joked about ever made someone cry I would never even think about making the same joke again or filming it so others can see. Even in today’s video when Sienna announced the baby fashion show she sounded like Darren doing an announcer voice, these children are turning into their parents and it’s a little worrying tbh. That prank was pathetic. They are really struggling for content. What next?
A prank on the kids of "You're all adopted"
Anything for views i guess.
