I've just watched part of their latest offering and they have convinced Mia that she doesn't need an education to go into business. How is she going to learn the ins and outs of setting up her own business and running it? She could learn from Darren but he would only have limited knowledge surely? They can't even articulate what they are trying to tell their 'Fizz Fam'.

Home schooling when done well can be a great thing, but unschooling is limiting your child's prospects if they are not especially bright or gifted in something that has potential career prospects. Schooling is so much more than learning stuff you will never use. It's learning to learn, it's learning to socialise, it's setting the foundations of fitting into society. I think these kids will grow up and realise what a disservice their parents have done them.

They say they are set for life. Have they really earned that much money over the course of their time on YouTube? I hope for their kids sake that they have. My guess is that we'll hear some horror stories in years to come.

What they don't seem to grasp is that Mia will need to be somewhat educated if she wishes to go into the literary world. The parents can't string a cohesive sentence together, so how much hope do the kids have? She probably won't have the Fizz Fam following forever, who will buy her books then? So many who make money fast loose it because they don't have education to fall back on to help them look after their financial matters. It's not the be all and end all but it helps.

My take on them is that when the YouTube gravy train stops because their followers move on from them, we'll discover that they only had 25 quid in the bank the whole time and they're taking out loans to pretend they've got this wonderful lifestyle to their followers, which is why they keep running about the world, to avoid the endless "Final Demand" letters they're probably getting to their house in Brighton or wherever they have a permanent address. Then we'll have videos with titles like "WE SPENT ALL OUR MONEY! HAD TO BE TAKEN IN BY ONE OF THE FIZZFAM!" and it'll be a 18 year old girl still living with her parents in a two up, two down in Grimsby who begged them to let her heroes Family Fizz, stay with them because they're "REALLY positive and love life!"

When the parents after two weeks finally pluck up the courage to ask for rent from them, Darren will tell them "TREASURE OTHERS, BE YOURSELF!" play the god-awful theme they have and jump out the window with Georgie, Mia, Sienna, Karma, Koa, Huw, Puw and Barney McGrew to escape to a new location that they'll ask their followers to guess.

Hint: "Captain Scott went here in 1912 and died"

Followers: "Oh! I know! I know! THE MOON!"

Haven’t watched Family Fizz for ages. What’s happened to Darren he’s so skinny he looks like he’s on drugs?!

The question about how much money they earn was so insincere, no thank you to the fans (who after all have made them who they are). Georgie has to bring it round and start talking about donations because Darren was just being an arse.

Feel really sorry for Mia, she’s a teen and will not understand why qualifications are important now but it’s a failing of her parents to not set her and Sienna up for the future. How is she going to run a business without basic maths and English at least?

I’m wondering how they think they’re set for life too and can live comfortably for the rest of it when Anastasia kingsnorth has admitted there’s no way she could and she has no kids and has a house ect..... also was shocked to hear how much contact they do have with they’re family. I miss they’re videos before the babies with 24 hr challenges ect. The family dynamic was better before the babies

I don’t understand this family. They are constantly trying to prove that they are something else although they admitted in a recent video that a few years ago they lived in a council flat. I don’t know why Georgie is trying to fool us all... she had a baby at 16 and is now desperately trying to make her kids to be “perfect” in her eyes.

does Mia have any friends? She never appears to leave her family, it’s really quite sad.

As for being adamant the kids don’t need qualifications to get a job - if you applied to be a cleaner a person with GCSEs will get the job over the person who doesn’t. Completely wrong way to bring children up. They should be ashamed.

Especially now more than ever, now there are hundreds of applicants for basic jobs - I know they aren't at the looking for employment stage yet but competition for jobs now is huge, a lot of jobs she wouldn't even get to interview stage. We were constantly bombarded with making our CV stand out when nearing the end of school - encouraging us to volunteer or take part in DOE or keeping up interests like playing a musical instrument or being part of a sports team - anything to add to the CV alongside our qualifications. Just because there is a handful of people who have been successful without qualifications doesn't mean it applies to everyone - they are the rarity. In the real world you need qualifications to even get a look in.

Even the people who have become successful without qualifications have actually gone out into the world and gotten life experience. Many entrepreneurs start out getting a job and getting experience into how to succeed in the world, so even if they don’t do brilliantly academically they have other skills and an understanding of what it takes to do well. I can’t imagine Mia and Sienna having very good social skills when it comes to speaking to people besides their family or a camera, so how does Mia expect to be able to set up a business and create something people want to buy when she has no idea of anything really beyond what Darren has told her about the world. It really baffles me how Georgie, who said she was very good in school and was upset she didn’t do as well as she wanted in GCSEs due to being pregnant, can just say now her kids would be better off without any kind of education or being able to develop interests outside of their home. I remember Sienna used to do gymnastics and she was very flexible so clearly good at it, but I don’t think there’s been any mention of her developing that skill further, which is a shame as she would’ve likely done very well and so it would’ve been something extra she had to but on applications etc. Even with Mia’s Spanish, she can clearly speak it very well but just putting, I can speak Spanish on a CV won’t get you very far without any actual proof, such as a gcse. It seems all they do when traveling is stay in a nice home and isolate themselves from the outside world so it’s not like they’re actually embracing different cultures or seeing what the world is like.

Sorry for the double post but I just skimmed through a LaBrant family video about why Everleigh (the eldest daughter) isn’t in as many videos. I don’t like them due to the views they’ve expressed and them exploiting their children for views, however there is one thing I think is good. The reason everleigh isn’t there as much is because they’re letting her be a normal kid. She goes to school, goes to dance, stays over at her grandmas’, sees her dad and has loads of friends who’s parties she goes too. Why can’t family fizz settle down somewhere enrol Sienna, at least, into a school and just vlog their normal daily life, it’s not even like they upload regularly so need her at home for content?

Hi, first time poster here. I followed the FizzFam since Vegan Fitness TV when I was interested in veganism and fitness myself. It's so sad to see them go off the rails since those wholesome days when they lived in Norwich and then moved to Watford. They were sweet and earnest back then, I doubt they had many or any sponsors because they were promoting healthy living, cooking vegan food with low cost easily available ingredients and keeping fit in a sustainable way. I remember Georgie talking like she'd practised her script full of researched information and they didn't show the kids except in the background occasionally. It was nice when they moved onto family-focused acitivities and integrating their lifestyle in an approachable way. Like many longtime viewers I then also started losing interest when they left GC and started doing superficial money-based challenges.
I feel they all have two weird sides to them, except Sienna who is a really sweet girl (Karma is just a horrid brat).
Darren - I think he's a good dad and he's supported Georgie and the kids. But that's as far as it goes, as everyone else has commented the views he peddles on education come from someone who didn't bother being educated himself for whatever reason and resents/puts down anyone who has. Case in point Georgie, who actually put in the effort to do a BA in English as a mature student because I think she wanted to be a good mum/role model to her kids but Darren puts her down and has talked so dismissively about it she barely mentions it and puts herself down as well. I hate that. Also anyone else who screams internally whenever he eats, he doesn't know how to use cutlerly and uses a fork as a shovel. Get some good table manners ffs.
Georgie - she has such a split personality I don't even know where to begin. She has been a great mum and raised her two kids realy well, they were both such sweet and grateful girls. But she's gone bonkers lately. Totally unccessary to have a kid so soon after Karma, I am two weeks younger than Georgie and dont have kids yet - I don't want to be cynical about a family I used to like but it just seemed like they got tonnes of cash from Karma and that's why she's such a special child to them, and didn't want the dollah flow to end so got preggers asap. Georgie saying there is something special about Karma, she's a complete brat. They don't discipline her at all.
Mia - her IG and YT channel are shocking. Poor girl. All that inappropriate nudity, bad camera angles and she looks sooo unhealthy. I was vegan for a number of years and no disrespect but she does not look the picture of health. Also colouring book??? When I was 15 I was not drawing in colouring books, I was studying like mad and dreaming about going to university. Even if academia is not your thing, surely posing in front of your camera all day and making colour-in drawings of yourself is the most narsessitic and ridiculous thing ever. Someone needs to tell her that self-publishing is super cringe and she needs to think about something other than her bubble. School is not a picnic, slapping on a filter and editing a video won't get you far in life. All those awkward selfies littering her IG and no friends or social life, ouch. I feel for her, with Georgie and Darren motivating this behaviour as she's the only one doing work and clearly the cash cow.
Sienna - my fav! She is honestly so sweet and like everyone else I am extremely sad her dreams of being a scientist are being crushed by her stupid parents. They tell her she can be anything but that's just a vicious lie. No parent should say that without enabling their kid to reach this goal.
Karma - what can I say. I felt bad for disliking her but she's the most horrid baby I've ever seen.
Koa - he's got squinty eyes but i guess they won't sort it out just like he wasn't vacinated either, and therefore is not put into playgroups or any other form of social interaction. It's such a shame.

Sorry, I should edit, pure assumption on my part based on the home birth saga aand Georgie posting hints like "breathing properly can boost your immune system".

PS Can she pls stop posting about her breasts and like she was born to be a human milk machine 😩

It's an assumption, but they probably DON'T vaccinate but they won't say that in case the tide turns against them. Which it would and they'd lose money.

I'd love to know how they're set for life.

squinty eyes - does he?

they go on about "not working for other people" but if youtube shut down today I don't think they'd be comfortable for the rest of their lives. Also, Mia has enough money to live off for the rest of her life? Social Blade puts her yearly earnings at about 48k max. For three years that only just over 100k. I say only because the average worker is getting 28k per year. You can't live off 100k for the rest of your life. I'm not sure what "investments" darren is on about- if the money is in a savings account the interest rate will be tiny, maybe something like 0.05% with the state of the economy right now? She's not old enough to have investments in stocks or shares so idk what he is on about

*not defending whatever the duck they’re saying* but Mia seems to borrow Georgies credit card in videos whenever she buys stuff or uses cash so I doubt she has full access to the money YouTube has brought her. So yeah I’d assume Darren has put her money into investments and that

Do they have a childminder in their new video or is Koa by himself. Mia was supposedly on a walk with Karma whilst Georgie, Darren and Sienna were upstairs making Mia's art room for her. Maybe Mia was downstairs with him but it scared me to think that Koa could be by himself on the ground and potentially injure himself.

If they're smart, they've invested that money and will live on a comfortable return. But Darren is assuming Mia will be smart with the money she's earned. Who reckons she'll blow it all as soon as she gets access??

It's clear they think YouTube is going to last forever but if their channels were shut down without warning, they'd probably lose most of their FizzFam quickly (I can see them quickly setting up another channel but most of the 2mil subs they have not bothering to sub or watch because they can't be arsed/have moved on) and when you lose the viewers, the brand deals go too.

I've not watched the video but could Koa just be having a nap somewhere?

I doubt they’ve bothered to give Mia any sort of advice on how to responsibly spend money, the only experience she’s had is when she’s given a tone of money to blow in a video. She’ll probably get help settling down from her parents but after that I get the feeling Mia will just blow her money on shopping or trying to publish another book that her miacorns have grown up enough to not want anymore because they’ve realised they know more about life than her. Mia’s going to get the shock of her life when she moves out.

I don't know, I don't think she'll squander it all. Although they're a lot less minimal than when they first started out, they still are more minimal than other YouTubers. I think that's how they've managed to be "set for life".
