Wondering what Irish influencers they were? I’d love to check them out as I’m considering getting a reinrite. Also would like to find some actual authentic influencers😂

I like the moodymarediaries and jumping.bryan
Lost all respect for Lily equestrian after the American shooting comment
I remember that got taken entirely out of context a few years ago. She was openly very anti trump and left a comment on a trump supporters page (who supported the access of guns) bringing up school shootings. She’s not my favourite person but I do remember she was hugely against gun violence and a lot of the trumpies on eq instagram began causing drama about it.

I was creeped out!! Also the standard … 😳
it gets less and less competitive every year, you can understand unsettled horses but some of those riders looked like they’d never ridden bareback before ….

I've just looked at canterring for the first time to see who you're all talking about...

Why does she have her eyes closed over every jump picture?!😂
And how has she got so many followers?!

I don’t think she is as personable as Claire? Her pony is lovely but it jumps way to fast and I’m worried if it stops cross country she is going to get seriously hurt
I would have thought the other way around! I do like Claire but I prefer Joanna in their vlogs. She’s a speedy mare alright but I think it’s only very recently that she was stopping on her so hopefully she has gotten to the bottom of it. They do have a good dynamic though for YouTube, her and Claire.

Now I have a question because I like asking questions lol. Have you ever bought a product shown/talked highly about by an influencer (even if they're not promoting it)? Did you rate it or hate it?
I bought a reinrite used by some Irish influencers I follow and I really trusted their word for it (REALLY as it cost £159 or somewhere abouts). It's turned my horse around and the two influencers that shared it weren't promoting it/had no association with it. They seemed like they geniuinely loved it which sold it to me and now I'm in love. Isn't it a love/hate relationship with influencers, brands and products? I am more inclined to use something if I scroll back months and see they're using a product and haven't mentioned it until they start then talking about it and swearing by it because you then know their genuine feelings..

She’s replied to a comment saying he is Sam’s. I think that’s the young lad who jumped Banksy at vlogmas

I unfollowed them as got bored with the ads that weren't ads, but yikes at how lean Bug is in this video - she's got absolutely no muscle over her croup at all (the most recent video she's been in)

I understand they've got a heavy workload but it's not hard to feed for the work you're doing.
Gosh she looks a bit hangdog doesn’t she. At least it seems like they’re doing something about it! I went off them recently too, thought it was a bit much letting Kizzy go hunting on her own - but I’ve never hunted so maybe that’s normal?

Very much enjoying Raleigh's take on that posh little girl Harlow and her parents exploiting the child. I think a lot of us feel the same.

Does anyone have a screenshot of the original post made against them? I can’t find it in any groups I’m in.

thanks! So “share to story for an extra entry” is likely to be bullshit..

My account is private so I can’t enter any giveaways that require share to story anyway!
You could take a screenshot and send it to them! I have seen brands write that in their T&C of entry for private profiles

Ray the Goth astounds me, I've two kids and my weight gain had nothing to do with it, I'd never blame my kids for it! I'd only ever comment on a person's weight if it was harming the horse which I think it will in the end. Girl needs to get strict with herself, it's hard but she can do it.
I follow Jess and never once thought her heavy, nasty comments for the sake of being nasty....
Riding with Charlotte is a true case of all the gear no idea.

Accounts I love are emdeventing, Emily is so nice but I miss Lola, I'm hoping the youngster isn't too much for her I'd hate to see emily lose her confidence, muddy mayhem is downright hilarious, freyatheconnemara is really nice, I'm sad she's sick but she copes well, Ashley Harrison's vlogs are great and elphickeventponies, I just like her ponies and vlogs are a good watch!
God I can’t stand Ashley. But I know a few people that have known her well personally and have met her myself. She’s incredibly rude and arrogant, has a habit of just talking talking talking at you and cutting you off. She also doesn’t sound like a good person to work for from what I’ve heard

That ‘4*’ event horse of Ashley’s Zeb is absolutely atrocious to watch and quite frankly concerning. For the longest time it looked like it didn’t have the scope or stamina for the heights she was eventing at, and then she said she was going to 4* I couldn’t believe it. Wasn’t surprised when they had a fall out XC. Not the first time it’s happened either. It’s barely scraping over those fences it’s evident she’s pushing him far beyond his limits, even after the fall. You’d think the horse’s welfare would come before your desire to compete higher levels…

I agree to an extent. I’m jealous but that’s also their job and I couldn’t personally put myself out there like that. I work in marketing and I do a lot of social for numerous of our clients so I understand the time and efforts going into it. We quote a photographer to shoot just 10 photos for a client brand campaign and they’re charging over a grand for just that. It’s the time, editing, equipment.
I do understand the work they’re putting into it. Think about some of them already having a full/part-time job and then trying to care and ride their 1, 2 or numerous horses while also sharing their journey vlogging/instagramming. It is absolutely hard work. Continuously online. And to make it worth it they have to be earning something out of it. Of course there’s work on a complimentary, gifted, non-media fee basis but you think of Megan Elphick, of course she would have to make money out of it to go full-time with the amount of work she also has to put into her ponies which she probably wouldn’t get a chance to have as much as if she had an office full time job. This is so convenient for her and kudos to her for building her audience so loyal. But that’s what they chose and if you look at it from a brand perspective you’ve got to think about how valuable influencers are. We work with influencers in work but we’ve an entirely different strategy. There’s a line drawn between being excessively oversaturated which is what Y Food are doing which in turn makes followers/audiences turn sour towards the brand and not wanting to engage or buy from them and there’s matching an influencer to the real audience they’re trying to target and they subtly support them with products for perhaps gifted product launches, paid campaigns, competition support and sponsorship etc. Excessive payment for excessive push on social is ridiculous and Y Food are doing it all wrong. Good for awareness as you’re all talking about it. But yeah, I’m turned off even clicking into their profile. They’ve got to look at their ROI. I wonder is it worth it for them.
So you’d have to look at all the influencers you follow and think actually yeah, they’re full time, 2 horses to care for, vlogs add on extra time to film while competing/fun rides etc and then they’ve to go home, edit for a few hours and hope it uploads. It takes a lot for them to be organised and to be fair, VE squad and any other vloggers on YT are grafters. That’s how you make it in the influencer world and deserve the money being paid. Then there’s Olivia towers who cries and takes a break cos she doesn’t know what she’s doing with her life but she’s just lazy. She’s not a grafter. You see Verena then who is genuinely interesting to follow as she seems like she loves just sharing but isn’t crying for brand deals, it’s just pure love of the community. You can look at each influencer SO different and once you actually think about the work and time a lot of them do on top of their full-time jobs, you’ll reevaluate that they are deserved of these paid partnerships. Open to opinions on this because it’s a good debate IMO
In all fairness for Meg it's her full time job so she needs to get paid. She didn't do the drink bottle thing that I know of, and I obvs don't like y food. But All of her ads are very clearly ads that she makes clear she's been paid to promote them and isn't saying they're the best thing since sliced bread if she doesn't actually like or use them. She's worked really hard for her sponsorships. Some of the others I couldn't say the same for though.
Megs full time job is working with her own horses, and working with sponsors in return for a vlog or 2 each week. Who wouldn’t want her job and lifestyle! ☺ She has the property of her parents and the full support from her mum, she is extremely lucky. I guess I find it hard to see that they don’t have to go and purchase a saddle or bridle or buy new boots or buy feed for the horses because it’s all there in sponsorship for them, and all I see is a vlog of riding there own horses for us to watch, there competitions are paid for by sponsorship the list is endless. I know i shouldn’t be so negative about it but I guess that’s how I see it from a viewers point of view.

You know why they are called universal bits right??
You know that if certain mouth pieces are upside down they can cause pinching/pain no matter what cheek pieces the bit has right??

ETA I had a ported barrel universal in my horse. Imagine that upside down

Honestly I wasn’t thrilled to see the beddown ambassador programme coming back. If I remember, last year’s programme dragged on for ages and became annoying to watch story after story from applicants every day.
Is that you Jess? 😂😂 I knew exactly who she was on about as soon as I saw her story and I don’t even follow bed down.
