She should be rear facing still! Her bones aren’t ready for forward facing, a seatbelt is safer than harnessed when front facing (when 4/5years plus that is) but ofcourse rear facing is safer than both of these and she should have bought her a 25kg erf seat before being forward facing in a hbb with a belt, but these influencers won’t be told… until they have a crash and wish they would have listened I’m sure!🤷‍♀️
She's a moron and neither of them take car safety seriously. Gary is constantly filming himself while driving, for his stupid boomerangs. No way would my husband be allowed to take my kids out if I ever caught sight of him doing tit like that.

The car seat debate is really annoying. You CAN face forward earlier. It says it on the NHS website and manufacturers of car seats have to go through alsorts of testing etc and wouldn't be allowed to advertise as front facing from 15m etc if it wasn't right or safe. Lots of parents do it and it doesn't mean they don't care about their kids or their safety.

But it’s proven to be safer to rear face up until atleast 4 years! Unfortunately the law doesn’t care about safety, it’s upto parents to research😅 if you have a google you can find news articles about toddlers who have been forward facing in a crash and were internally decapitated which is the spinal cord snapping which can be life threatening, if they were rear facing the risk of this is sooo much less as there’s less strain on their neck. A lot of unsafe things are allowed to be advertised- cot bumpers, sleepyheads etc! I personally have my child in a plus tested car seat as I’ve researched so much into the safety, some car seats just about pass the bare minimum crash tests, like team tex seats for example.

Ohhhh god just let parents make the effing decisions for themselves without ramming it down their throats. Good for you for doing so much research, let other parents make the decisions they want to make too! My god.

I agree with everything you've said! As a PICU nurse, I've seen too many accidents of this nature to not do extended rear facing.
When information is given, it's up to the parents to decide what to do with it. Information sharing can only do so much.

Definitely front Vs rear for me. People saying it's wrong and unsafe and selfish are almost certainly accusing of not caring about the kid. I mean, they could fasten Primrose in better but still... My little boy is forward facing and he's 3. Perfectly safe. He's got such long legs rear facing wouldn't have made sense. My little girl is 15m but little, so we're not doing it whilst she's still comfy.

And I did my research to make sure my little boy would be safe and he is. So can we agree to disagree that we don't make other parents feel tit about their choices? Like I said, it says it on the NHS and many other reputable sites and articles so..

I can't cope with the uneducated comments 😂😂😂 your kid was fine forward facing at 10 months old, amazing, how bad was your crash? Oh hang on there wasn't one? That's why he was safe 🤣🤣

Primrose may well be the size of other peoples older children but her bones are still at the developmental age of a 3 year old, as she is. As such, as medically and scientifically proven ERF would be a lot safer. I doubt she meets any of the requirements to use a seatbelt tbh but it's okay because Sandra down the road did it 50 years ago 🙄

Since when did this thread become full of judgement? And it is judgement. Making parents feel like they've done something wrong forward facing. Who said 10m? Nobody that I can see 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

At the end of the day, most parents DO research and do what's safe for their kids. It's not illegal or unsafe to forward face, because if it was, the NHS wouldn't be saying you can from a certain age/weight and neither would other websites.

I don't think people understand that 😂🙃

Thought this thread was about laughing at how Gaz’s personality is more down the shitter then his career and how Dee Dee Blanchard needs a brain transplant not a heart one. No need to be all mums net and turn on each other over a argument parents have been having for years, if you don’t agree just move on.

my daughter was forward facing at 1 year old .. why? Cos she kept screaming and wouldn’t settle going backwards understandably, that’s not nice for anyone. Guess what.. she stopped screaming when she was facing forward and I was less likely to crash cos I could concentrate on the road 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

I want to know where all these rear facing kids legs go?? It’s dangerous to have them squashed up in front of them but just because they want to virtue signal 🙄

Their legs go where they want them to go.. they can cross them, have them against the back seat, however they want! It’s actually more comfortable to have their legs up on or against something than to have them dangling infront of them. You can install a lot of specialist seats to provide extra leg room too. Anyway I’m only replying to this as it seemed like a genuine question, I’m not replying about this debate again to the others who are arguing with proven science😅

The funny thing is the original comment was about Emma and it's all the forward facing advocates that have made it about themselves 😂

She's had Chester forward facing with a harness for forever but Primrose is into a seatbelt straight away. I turned my kid at 2 and didn't realise all the safety info etc out there but can now hold my hands up and accept ERF is safer, and at the very least there are safer seats out there for Primrose, it's a shame Emma can't do the same as with her platform it would be great!
