I am just off to Northants for a wls group meeting tonight. It will be all post op folks tonight all lengths of time since they had their surgery. The surgeons here have not done any wls since January they are all gastric surgeons and other than doing emergency procedures they have been redirected to I know not what but at least one of them tells me it has been hard, I will see one tonight and she may explain. I've been working on setting up the Nightingale hospitals (love it termed an expert volunteer how great is that for a title!!) and it was fine for me as a TA person just as it turns out a logistical thing and almost never used. I can't stress enough that Emma was always a fruit loop before she had wls. I really wanted to believe as she is a "money"blogger that she would not do something that costs £10,000+ and piss about with it. That does not seem to be the case. I have no interest in debating wls against dieting. I posted my experience read it or not. Emma i know you read here for god's sake grow up you castigated wls, you still had it done, now you think you are the poster child for it. You are not. Get with what you were told, stop kicking against it and grow the duck up. Its hard, fattys like me and you can splash the cash, take the temporary weight loss and then put the bugger back on. Babes its a whole new world get with the programme, drink the water, eat the food and for fucks sake learn the lesson. It isn't a bloody miracle cure. You could have done it on your own we all could BUT Like me you couldn't you needed this additional tool. You have dropped a shed load of money come on award winning money blogger get with the beat. And here is a thought get thrifty husband into your new diet as he as sure as eggs are eggs will be next to needing a gastric bypass.

EMMA GROW THE duck UP AND SMELL THE WLS ROSES

I know people who have lost weight and kept it off with dieting and with wls. However they have always had a motive to lose weight. One lady was told she was unlikely to live long enough to see her son grow up. Emma never seemed bothered by her lack of fitness or her size. I remember a few years ago she became an affiliate for muscle food. She lost some weight and then said that they wanted her to do an hour's exercise a day and that was not going to happen. She partnered with Lloyds for their diabetes campaign and again lost some weight through dieting but gave up after a few weeks. She does not seem to be trying to exercise other than going for short walks or taking much pleasure in her new figure except for buying some clothes that are still too small. She has not even changed the profile picture on her various websites and Facebook groups.

Emma must do what she does. She will loose weight after wls I do not know anyone that does not. I am signing out now as I have real life stuff going on. As my final word I truly dislike Emma she is a total sham but anyone needs to make their own decision about her. Personally I would attach a strict warning to anything to do with her.

Yes she lacks drive completely

I think she only wants to be a few sizes smaller in clothes and that's it. She doesn't seem to want to be healthier or make better choices.

Does anyone know her height and starting weight?

I have just finished with bariatric group 1. Wls folks who had their surgery less than 12 months ago. Tonight we had a bariatric surgeon, a bariatric clinical psychologist and (not the norm for every meeting) 4 bariatric nursing specialists and 4 long term folks who tonight had all had a gastric bypass more than 5 years ago. That isn't what we have every meeting it just is what it was tonight. I am recording this as it was very interesting. We couldn't do a physical meet up until today. Honestly I think after the meeting all of us were considering giving up. There were 8 folks attending who had surgery in Jan/Feb. They all seemed to think that they should have lost at least 8 stones by now and no I am not kidding. To say we limped through the session is over stating it. One man told me that I was a stooge for the company and he doubted my "story" was true. I tried to get him to come and look at my wls journey booklet my nephew had recorded as his PhD into bariatric surgery. He just got more annoyed. Between us the health care professionals and I got through it we managed to give every one an update pack. The surgeon and the nurses are all employed by the company that provides the bariatric surgery and they all said they won't come to a meeting again. I come as a volunteer. This was not the best by a long way. Yes i will be here next time. We are a group Emma babes is offered, If she had come tonight hmnnnnn she my not/certainly would not come back. There you are real life real time experiences. Group 2 over a year post op coming up deep breath going in

She's never said which is weird for a weight loss journey.

Most people post their starting weight for accountability. I don't think she's one for accountability in general 🤣

Well done Emma drinking all that squash, now go reward yourself with some of those Starburst I saw in the treat jar.

Sorry, off topic I know, and I don't want to seem like the Covid police, but how are you able to have meetings with so many people in attendance at the moment? My understanding of the regulations is that this is absolutely not allowed at all?

Didn’t we say on here that Emma controls the money and gives McDonald what he’s allowed? Or words to that effect. If so then she’s reading here by the tone of that story.

Those earrings look like Poundland stuff!
I see the cats are in hiding from their beloved owner.

She's not done a haul in a while, I'm sure she's getting jittery.

God help us when she gets into Primark and decides she's now a size 12.

Won't that involve standing up for hours in the queues?

Being that large and wearing crappy slip on flats in the sort of weather conditions there are today (humid and horrid) - well, I can't see it happening.

They only go up to size 22. And even then, only in a few items.
And Primark sizes are notoriously small. I’m an 18 in most stores but I find a lot of Primark’s stuff doesn’t fit me so Emma’s got no chance I’d expect.
Also - that dressing table is absolutely hideous! She really does have no taste.

What I'm confused about is how someone who is "at risk" enough to get Sainsbury's to deliver to them is happy to go queue for Primark and charity shops, where social distancing is very difficult.
