Can someone that speaks German and follows her on Tiktok update me on what's going on with her crush/boyfriend, whatever he is? I can't understand a word of what she's saying, but I'm curious haha.

just scrolled through her tiktok for a couple minutes (from her most recent to the beginning of february) and the most recent info i could find was a tiktok from 10/04 saying she went on a date with her crush (still calling him crush, not bf) *but* there's also one from 09/03 listing "things to make elena happy" and the last one is her holding someones hand and the text says "him" that looks couple-y imo (people in the comments seem to think the same and she hasn't clarified) and in the tiktok from 08/03 she says she had her first kiss this year. The one video that I saw that has more info is from 24/02 and she says they're really close friends. Apparently he dm'ed her on ig (a while back?) and asked her out, she said yes but only as friends, so they became close friends but she now has a crush on him [she says the same thing in a "everybody makes mistakes" tiktok on 01/02]. She initially only agreed to meet him bc he also likes German Rap (Deutschrap). He speaks German (she doesn't say whether he is German) and watches her tiktoks. He recommended her the first book in a series and she liked it and also bought book 2 and 3 (she points at it but I can't tell what book it is).
If there's a specific video you'd like me to translate, lmk, I'd be happy to! I haven't watched all videos, if they seemed like they had nothing to do with the guy I scrolled, so I might've missed something.

Thank you very much!! I agree it's a bit annoying that she makes certain things her entire personality, like german rap and McDonalds. I wish she talked in English though! Elena has never talked about guys and dating before and I'm interested to see how this will go.
Honestly it's nice that she shares these moments with us, but the “things to make Elena happy – him” is giving me 14 year old girl vibes for some reason.

Yes, that's what I think too. If he was her boyfriend, she would probably call him that. She would have no reason to just call him her ‘crush’ if they have established that they are boyfriend and girlfriend. I think they are just dating but not officially in a relationship yet?
why announce it on her 'professional' social media at all? is she trying to make it seem like she has a life besides studying, eating mcdonalds and listening to German rap?
i really want her content to go back to English though. I've even messaged her a few times.

When she first started speaking only German on Instagram, I assumed that she would lose a large amount of her followers, which would hopefully make her go back to English. For some reason, this didn't happen (I don't understand, does everyone suddenly speak german?) so she has no reason to start speaking English again.
agreed! i also feel like the way she talks on tiktok in general is more juvenile than on youtube? like a lot more slang, tiktok lingo, etc. and i get that it's a different platform (plus she might just be more confident in german/know more slang terms, etc. but i haven't really noticed it in her german yt videos) but still, the way she speaks sounds like she's a middle schooler trying to fit in sometimes imo. no hate to her, it's the platfrom and maybe she's also still trying to figure out how to speak to the camera in german, i just personally don't like it.

She has just uploaded a tiktok saying to ask questions about him in the comments and he'll answer them (on a private account, no name, no face), so if you want me to ask anything lmk and I will! If not I'll definitely update you on what other people have asked and what he said. Elena also said she feels "crush" isn't the right word anymore but she just doesn't know what to call him to her audience yet (seems like he doesn't want his name out there?)
