Has she ever mentioned what are her plans on masters degree? Also in todays q&a she said something about quiting yt once she feels like it's time? I'm not sure, my german is terrible.
Yes, she does. I mean she calls him "her crush" so not 100% sure but I think so. I am really happy for her.
I have been following her for a few years and really like her. She seems sweet and genuine.
She does lots of extracurriculars, she listed them all in a video she made once. I think she just doesn't show them that much which is fine. I also wouldn't want to walk into my extracurriculars with a camera to be honest so I understand her.
People are always quick to say stuff like "all she ever does is study" and "she has no friends" etc. but in reality who would really film their friends or their extracurriculars all of the time? Many people don't want to be on social media and many organizations (that people could work for or volunteer at) would probably not allow it.
I think she has a nice group of friends (from what I can see in her posts and vlogs), lots of extracurriculars and (probably) a boyfriend.

Ruby Granger seems sweet. Holly doesn't work for me even though she seems nice. Jade annoys me a little even though I am sure she is nice too. Watched Eve Bennett for a bit but not really my cup of tea. But if you can recommend anyone to me let me know.

Brw, does someone know what illness she's been diagnose with? I think it was a couple of weeks ago that she posted on stories that she was going to take a few days off social media to process her diagnose, but I've never got to see what she was exactly referring to and a few days ago in a Q&A she answered that one of the most important things for her was feeling healthy in spite of her health issues.
She's mentioned psoriatic arthritis on her tiktok a while back i think (so i'd assume psoriasis as well?) but not sure whether that's the diagnosis you're talking about? She also has scoliosis
Thank you for the replay. I don't know which illness it might be, I saw long time ago that she said she has arthritis or rheumatism. But this time, I felt it was something quite serious? Mainly because she said she had to process the diagnose and in her q&a she was remarking how important it was for her to feel healthy.
Is anyone else annoyed that she speaks so much German without translating it? I've been following her for so long and now the majority of her content on Instagram is suddenly in German and I can't understand anything. I mean it's her choice if she wants to switch to German, but I find it a bit disrespectful to all of us who have been following her for so long that she doesn't even consider the fact that we can't understand anything. I'm not saying she has to speak English if she doesn't want to, but she could at least let as know what she's gonna do do just out of respect. Or at least translate the german. I've been following her for so long and I don't want to unfollow her, but now I'm seriously considering doing it, since most of her stories are all of a sudden in german.

Side note but I saw the books she wanted to read in 2022 and I now wonder whether she truly reads some of them. The War of Two Queens (and the whole From Blood and Ash Series) is most definitely not YA.

I must say I'm very dissapointed with Elena and her turn to speaking only German. I've been following her since she started and supported all her media outlets and right now I don't understand anything. I don't understand why she doesn't want to put english translation below the german words. I can't help but think that somehow her bf influenced this switch, maybe it's a big coincidence but maybe not. Her yt channel is also very quiet.
Isn't Elena coming up to her finals now? She's probably got a lot on. I suspect that using English worked for her while she was a studytuber but now that she's about to graduate she is maybe pivoting her channel and content.

I would assume most of her viewers are English speaking due to the comments I used to see on her videos etc. Lots of international students watch studytubers and English is one of the more common languages at universities so it does seem like she's alienating a lot of her established followers from many countries who are interested in Cambridge. Seems to be an odd choice. Translating apps exist, or at least she could mix it up. I see her stories and have no idea what she is saying now. It's not like I am following some one randomly in German, I've been following her for years.
She never said if her bf is German, not in English anyway. I'm just finding it's strange that suddenly she has a bf and at the same time she's switching to German only, maybe he sealed the deal for her that she wants to come back to Germany, who knows. I understand that she wants to make a name for herself in Germany, but I also think that English speaking viewers deserve some post saying that this channel will sadly no longer be in English and while I understand switching to German I don't understand why she can't make a smaller translation in English, I follow some French instagramers who have much smaller audience and are doing this out of respect to English speaking viewers. Elena said in some comment that most of her viewers are German speaking, so maybe she doesn't care about English speaking viewers because they don't come in a large number, who knows. I will miss her, she is the only studytuber that I follow, she is normal, down to earth and I loved her sense of humor and irony.
Yeah it's a weird move, her vids have always been in English. Maybe she's not bothered about her followers anymore but that would be odd as it does generate income for her.
can't speak for her yt but her tt has around 330k followers and is completely German-speaking, that's almost 3x her youtube audience (and i'd assume parts of her yt audience were already German-speaking and more Germans have possibly subscribed after learning about her from tt). Not saying it's right but purely going by numbers, it's not a bad move for her to make more content in German (although I will say most German-speakers following her would probably also know enough English to follow her videos in English)
I don't follow her closely, so not sure, but on her tiktok it seemed like she was in Germany whenever she talked about going out to meet her crush/going on dates

Exactly, her viewers watch her mid-roll youtube ads etc, and have given her the platform she has, so she could just acknowledge the shift and thank them for their support.
