Imagine being Joe - your girlfriend, Eleanor Florence, makes you pay for all the large, shared expenses in your relationship (rent, expensive furniture, presumably most dates, cleaning lady). She "cocks" for you sometimes when you're not staying late at the office and getting takeout, but feels the need to pick up cheaper cuts of meat to "save money" while she uses the bulk of her income on weekly drybar visits, never ending cakeup, and is hauling the entirety of the Nordstrom sale section into your shared home on a daily basis. In this case, I would say there is definitely something wrong with buying cheaper cuts of meats for her and Joe's meals while she spends a fortune on her own procedures and primping.
But this is just speculation no? Noone here knows exactly what happened with her and Joe, who paid for what, etc.

I meant in general, if she buys cheap cuts of meat to save money, there is nothing wrong with it. If she really made Joe pay for all those stuff, then ok yeah although the guy was a willing victim (until he left her of course), but since there is no way of knowing if these speculations are true, I'm just commenting on the "cheap cuts of meat" bit since that's something she admitted herself/can be verified.

The thing is, the very basis of her channel was displaying her private life. It's not like she attracted people to her channel by showing professional makeup tutorials, sewing techniques, comprehensive restaurant reviews. She was attractive the way reality tv is attractive i.e. viewers get to see stranger's private life. She has no hard skills that would make her channel thematic. If she is serious about being private then she has to accept her viewer engagement will keep declining because there is nothing remotely fresh or entertaining in her content. If she's lying and will drop the privacy chat once things improve in her life then she is... herself. A lying hypocrite that she's always been.
Spot on.

Oh are you? Care for a practice test question?

Chris, Joe, Special Someone, Rick, and Mr Next are all going to Elle's Bistro for brunch. Please list their seating arrangements in counterclockwise order starting from the head of the mid-century modern table with the following conditions observed:

Rick cannot be seated next to Joe because Elle is still wearing the tennis bracelet
Chris cannot be seated next to Rick because Rick will start talking in Chris' accent
Special Someone cannot be seated at the head of the table because the country music will not be audible in that position
Mr Next must be next to Joe so that he can gain sympathy for Elle
Net worth of guests must not increase or decrease in a linear fashion following a clockwise order
That gave me LSAT flashbacks... 🥶

So I think regarding the minority vote in Florida, he’s really found an appeal with the Cuban population by calling Biden a socialist and pushing the Fidel-angle hard. But still, I’m surprised with the way he’s handled the conflict with Mexico that he was able to repair that relationship, mostly with the men. I think we’ve really seen suburban white women coming out to support Biden which is a shift that result surprised me but also has me smiling cheek to cheek. It’s. About. Time. Us women pull together for LEAST OFFENSIVE option.
That moment when the most powerful country in the world (generalizing a lot here of course) only has Trump and Biden as options...🤦‍♀️

It looks like Joe might get GA and PA. Apparently he's doing really well in the absentee ballots.

This graphic is really interesting. Regardless of whether he wins or not, Trump is clearly attracting people from all walks of life. I don't know how I feel about this...:

There's a niche perfume in the same vein as Black Opium - Lucrethia by V Canto. Give it a try.

What notes do you like? YSL BO is a sweet gourmand and Daisy Love is floral-musky. Pure XS by Paco Rabanne is a good gourmand you could try. Or maybe Guerlain Mon edp?

Personally I am a fan of Guerlain fragrances (their in-store range is quite limited so I'd recommend heading to their website) and Diptyque. You may want to try Maison Francis Kurkdijan too. Very feminine, stylish scents.
Thank you for much for your recommendations so far! I think I actually like citrusy and white floral notes but rarely wear those these days because it's so cold out. I have a travel size Eau Rose from Diptyque and really like that (I don't usually like rose scents) but was also looking at two Byredo rose scents (rose of no man's land & rose noir)...do you own any of those? Which are your favorite Diptyque scents?

Unfortunately, we can't really go out and sample perfume these days so I will either have to find a decant/travel size somewhere, or blind buy. Which Guerlain and Maison Francis Kurkdijan scents would you recommend?

I mean... Elle's channel is, essentially, based on a scam (being a #girlboss lawyer who makes jewellery sourced from Seattle merchants -- all lies) so I have no qualms calling her out for her over-the-top purchases and crazy shopping habits.

The reality is that when you makes videos about your shopping, you are inviting people to comment, judge, and evaluate. It's not like Elle's videos are actual reviews, they really exist just to make her feel good about herself and get excited about her ugly bags.

And you're right, we don't know Elle's financial situation. But we can certainly make some assumptions based on the evidence -- her mother supports her to some degree, she spent way more when living with boyfriends, and she is obsessed with shopping, at least compared to the average human.

Her scamming of her fans - claiming she was a lawyer, claiming to be a law professor, claiming her pearls were made with local merchants from Seattle -- makes the shopping open to criticism, in my opinion.
Exactly why I wrote if the money comes from scamming, then that's another story. If she is indeed scamming, then yeah. But the previous discussion wasn't entirely about Elle (hence "and I am not just talking about Elle, but in general") some posts were about buying designer bags when one (not just Elle) has to save up/scrimp to afford them which I do not agree with because so what, no harm in treating yourself, people are allowed to have nice things.

Oh and by the way, she's a lawyer and a law professor, so those aren't part of her scams.

I find it off-putting that you keep commenting on how ugly/uncomfortable/granny-like Chanel and Hermes classic styles are, but you've admitted in multiple instances that you don't even own the bags in question so how could you possibly know? Let's not mistaken our mutual dislike of Elle and project that hate onto expensive, designer goods. Just because you can't or wouldn't spend the money on something, it doesn't make the item ugly or bad.
I asked people who have these bags and they said that. Some never wore the Chanel jumbo after buying it. They said the reason why the bag was heavy was because of the double flap.

Whenever I walk into the LV store in my city, it's always filled with young Asian girls. But the funny thing is, I work in a hospital and none of the female doctors (all who make $200,000 per annum or more), I've never seen them with designer bags, not even in their personal lives. So I don't know who is buying all these designer bags TBH.
