I don't believe she does either. But I'll give her points for trying.

I lost my first response as Tattle was updating. We'll see if I can recreate it :)

I'm so glad that you've gained some insight through the pandemic! I guess there is a bright side to everything.

Most of what I did was introspection mixed with logic and acting according to the real world. First I tried to get to know myself, motivations and desires. Then I thought about what I wanted from life, what I was doing now, and if they matched up. I also had to think up an action plan that matched the *real world*, not how I *hoped* that I could get things done. Then I decided to change my behavior.

Your action plan will depend on what you want in life. But I think that as you get to know yourself that the way forward will become clearer. Hope this helped a little!
Thank you for taking the time to write that! Yes, it is very helpful! 🙂

I mean, what's the point of going back and forth on if E&G is in the top 1-2% in what country...

IMHO, whatever social class E&G belong to doesn't justify Elle's spending addition and consumerist value.

Let's face it, they are well to do, even wealthy, but no NYC upper east side wealthy. Still Elle almost (single capita) spends as much every month on shopping as a SAHM in those life circles.
That is the point that I was making i.e. they are affluent, but that doesn't excuse Elle's behaviour.

Those are just anecdotes. And you have no personal experience with the bags yourself. There are also many young women (myself included) who enjoy and wear their Chanel flap bags. Flap bags come in non-jumbo sizes. I've also seen Hermes bags styled beautifully and not granny like at all. Also people have different social circles. And the people who are regularly buying Chanel and Hermes bags (especially ready to wear) either already have significant family wealth or earn way more than $200K which is good money but not enough to be buying Chanel and Hermes every season.
Man, this entire crowd must have inherited millions from their parents or be making in the millions in their 20s :whistle:

She had a bunch of drama too where she was pretending to be a frontline worker when she was fielding calls from home.
Really? I remember she was working in a hospital in LA before she moved back to San Francisco. Maybe she was doing tele-nursing in San Fran.

ETA

Ok just read an article about this. That's crazy. I remember watching her day-in-the-life-of-an-ICU nurse hospital videos just this year.

In the beginning of the video she says "at the weekend" like five times.

Do Canadians say this? Americans don't. She was probably letting Chris rub off on her there. Very pretentious.

I beg to differ. Real rich ladies (SAHM) in those circles spend more than Elle. I have a friend who worked as a nanny for one of those really rich families and their live styles are completely different from Ginette and Elle's.

They (the rich family) owns casinos. They had an apartment in Upper East Side, a house in Long Island, and a house by the beach in Florida. They had a chef, nanny for the kids, and a housekeeper. The wife spent way more than Elle shopping - she spent at least $500,000 per year on herself lol (not sure of specifics of what she bought for herself but my friend told me this).

I was looking for an actual “young professional” woman who has youtube channel/does vlogs... and came across Miki Rai. She also lives in Seattle. Shs’s a nurse & it looks like her bf is a doctor. Does anyone else know her?

I think she was stuck on the learner's permit. She didn't really go anywhere in Fl, and the few vlogs that I saw her in a car, she was being chauffeured by Ginette.
No, she did get a full unrestricted drivers license when she lived in Vancouver, maybe in spring 2019? Ginette and Elle went out to lunch at the Vancouver Club to celebrate.

I truly don't think Elle will or needs to work a standard job, I don't like her but I don't blame her.
She has it cushy in a way, nice city and apartment and she is somewhat of an "entrepreneur".
If she wanted to ever work a traditional office job she could defo spin the Nouvelle Pearl story.

To her credit, Elle doesn't wear the headbands outside. I think she only wears them around the house when she is doing her MU. But those headbands (from designer brands such as Jennifer Ouellete) are very expensive, running $100 per headband - if she is indeed buying designer brands and not Etsy. That is a few hundred dollars right there.
Not defending Elle but I too once loved Blair Waldorf but when I bought a Lele Sedoughi headband after seeing them everywhere it Gossip Girl never crossed my mind...I thought I'd look like a cool effortless girl but it makes my big head look bigger so I use it to push back my bangs when I out on make up.. didn't feel like it was right to return it after it had been in my hair do might as well make the best use of it

Oh are you? Care for a practice test question?

Chris, Joe, Special Someone, Rick, and Mr Next are all going to Elle's Bistro for brunch. Please list their seating arrangements in counterclockwise order starting from the head of the mid-century modern table with the following conditions observed:

Rick cannot be seated next to Joe because Elle is still wearing the tennis bracelet
Chris cannot be seated next to Rick because Rick will start talking in Chris' accent
Special Someone cannot be seated at the head of the table because the country music will not be audible in that position
Mr Next must be next to Joe so that he can gain sympathy for Elle
Net worth of guests must not increase or decrease in a linear fashion following a clockwise order
HAHA. I was getting ready to diagram. Give us some questions! :p

I know the Bachelor was suggested but I'm thinking maybe Married at First Sight would be a good match for Elle. The next 2 seasons are to be set in Atlanta & Houston. Elle should move there now so it doesn't look suspicious.
It will be good for her cos she can just skip some of the dating lies!
That's genius!

I have heard LVMH doing sales for employees at 60-90% discount.
Yeah, the youtuber said she bought a Chanel handbag for $600 (not a SLG). I know $600 is a lot but considering the price of Chanel handbags run in the $4000-$6000, it's a great deal. Oprah was also gifted LV bags by the designer.

Designer brands / fashion houses trying to scam middle class buyers out of money - no thanks.

That is FUCKING INSANE. $15,000 a month in shopping. Do you guys know how much money Elle would have in 20 years if she put even 1/3 of that into an investment account every month? She could retire and be way more comfortable than Ginette.

On a side note, ladies... can I get your opinions? I'm getting married as soon as this coronavirus stuff is over :p I already call my SO my husband since we've been together 7 years and nothing will change except the paper, buttttt... we're finally making it official! Which dress would you choose for a city clerk wedding in NYC? All white dresses are just not my thing. Assuming warm weather.

Congrats! The green one drapes beautifully and the texture is great for a warm weather occasion! Go for it girl!

She's a lawyer. She has the degree, she's been admitted to the bar, she's qualified to work as a lawyer. That makes her a lawyer.

Ok, maybe the law professor is a stretch, but no matter how much we are annoyed at her, she is a lawyer.
