I also found it a bit long. I found myself getting bored and I felt bad because I do like their videos usually. I also find it hard to listen to some of what they are saying. I am really happy for Bec that she's still here and doing well, but some of their chat about cancer and meditation is hard to listen to as someone whose sister died of cancer last year.

I'm not sure I'll listen to much more of them unless it gets better like their podcast before.

I'm glad it wasn't just me. I understand the break from social media, I really don't know how anyone can not be affected by comments, especially when dealing with such catastrophic news. Then again, they do peruse their DMs enough to have discovered their birth doula that way.

I will try to finish the first one, just to see if they eventually pull together their experiences from the past few years. That's a very expensive studio lease and the fellow working the camera, so I hope it works out. Perhaps Eamon could try for Amazing Race again with one of his fellow vloggers instead of Bec.

Exactly, the bread crumbs are annoying and seem dramatic. Just take the time off, give the clarity don’t make it seem like something is so awful it can’t be shared just to make people have even more questions. Idk

I was so excited for their podcast to return, but I had no idea it would end up like this.

At the end she talks about it she has a crystal ball she'd want to know what she could do so she'd be full in remission Bec. But last week, they were saying they didn't believe she had cancer.

She then says 10 months ago the cancer was in all her bones (ribs, pelvis etc) but her latest scan shows there's nothing new and things are healing. But then the Dr. said the scans were as good as they get and it's not possible to get better, but obviously Bec thinks she will and they both almost smirk at the fact that's what they've been told.

And yet the oncologist probably has peer reviewed papers unlike the shouty meditation dude and the nonsense paper Bec was quoting from. Scary to know which one Bec has more faith in.

I haven't watched it yet but based on the critical comments, apparently she now implies that ADHD is not real and labels are bad
Next she will say that she doesn't have cancer, that it's only in the mind
She is close to that belief already anyway.

I don't know why people are surprised. Bec is not a rational person. Of course she will be against what real medicine says about illnesses.

I watched it but not sure i fully understood it all.
Had Bec not had chemo/radiation treatment recently and had only taken it when cancer had spread to her liver ?
I really hope she's well, i wish them good health and happiness

If I remember correctly she never shared what treatment she was getting (apart from looking into the sun, positive energies, meditation, and yoga) when the cancer came back as stage 4 during her pregnancy.

I was so worried for them and their baby, I was checking in every day and felt so relieved to see that baby was okay. I can see why some people felt manipulated because they could have done a very quick post just to say baby is here but in NICU or something to that effect as the last video they did with Bec crying worried a lot of people. I know it's their right to privacy etc but in that case maybe they shouldn't have said anything in the first place about baby needing to come earlier than planned and just took a social media break until they knew everything was okay. That way, people wouldn't have been left wondering and just assumed they were preparing for baby's arrival. I'm just thinking out loud, I know they don't owe anyone anything but so many people are invested in their lives and especially after everything they have been through already, people naturally worry. I'm so happy for them that the baby is okay and I hope they are enjoying their baby bubble. They deserve some happiness after the time they've had.

Eamon and Bec are back with a health update.

Summary:

For over a year and half she was on some protocols (I assume alternative hacky backies including meditation and yoga) and the stage 4 breast cancer was stable.

Last spring they found progression. Liver full of lesions. Lots of pain, liver 'protruding'.

She resisted a chemo pill because chemo is 'poison' they say. She says that she would take them if she could 'take them with love'. No joke.

She did agree to the chemo pill and the liver is much better since.

That's really it when it comes to the health update. The rest of the video is about 'energies', Frankie, and habit, so I skipped it.

I don't think it's back.

She’s stage four. Treatment is keeping it stable but sadly it will rear its ugly head again. She looks so healthy and happy at the moment.

She said she goes into hospital for ‘infusions’ but doesn’t identify with that person and Eamon said she doesn’t have stage four and has healed herself. She had her ovaries removed when she had her c section, basically shutting off her cancers food supply, hence the lower tumour markers. She had so much pain but that’s all gone and she can do cartwheels . She believes her story is going to come out to prove meditation beats stage four met breast cancer. It’s very hard as on one hand she is a beautiful young woman with a baby dealing with this awful illness, I do understand the need to do whatever you have to to cope and yet on the other hand it’s so totally batshit crazy.

Ahhh, okay, thank you. She appeared to be wearing a tight top in the last one I was watching, I am wondering if she has a port then, or perhaps a picc beneath her clothing draped over her arms. So strange when these YTubers become cagey with the details suddenly.

Perhaps @Saydee might know what the available options are for treating metastic breast cancer in the bones and possible the skin (referring to her head growth) which might result in such apparent improvements. If she credits meditation, no wonder she's continuing to meditate for hours per day.

I wonder if they would share it if they went to Mexico for unproven treatments. I guess for certain if they were paid spokespersons. Her approach to manifesting her desired outcome suggests she might be vulnerable to the peddling that goes on in alternative arenas. She can't go long before she's exposed to the plethora of unproven treatments if she's dabbling within that realm already. Her comments must be full of it too.

If meditation was the panacea to eradicate cancer, there would be double blinded studies demonstrating its incredible efficacy by now and the news would be saturated with its miraculous success. Good for wellbeing, but no evidence it cures cancer.

I saw that huge bump on her forehead in one of the recent videos and wondered why it wasn't addressed. I'm still a bit confused as to what she's having done. Is she currently being treated with chemo or anything? The last video said she's doing really well and liver mets almost disappeared but is that from just the reduced estrogen? I feel like I missed something.
And I used to watch their channel off and on but stopped shortly after the cancer diagnosis, don't know why, it just wasn't for me.

It sounds a lot like Samantha Lynn. She did the hormone treatment but came off of it because she hated how she felt (and I think she desperately wanted to have a baby, as well.)

Now that she's back on hormone treatment, she doesn't have the same horrible symptoms, she says. And she says she doesn't regret her decision because of her little girl.

It's just such a nightmare to deal with this disease when you're so young.

I thought of Samantha immediately. She is much more mature and helpful though. She responds to comments with detailed explanations and is not afraid of negative comments. She responds to those with maturity and thoughtfulness. I think Samantha really cares about the information that she puts out and it's important to her that people understand it. This is one youtuber who doesn't care about the money and algorithm over the people.

We have talked about in on the previous page. She basically believes everything that comes out of her medication guru’s mouth. He has done a m saying something like people who meditate lots have better blood work so could probably do transfusions to cure cancer and that they will be able to cure all illnesses in the near future.

Absolute baseless bollocks. It goes without saying it is not peer reviewed, yet Bec is lapping it up, without questioning anything.

Absolute madness. I don't know the details of what her charlatan guru preaches but can imagine that it's the typical bollocks. There is someone in our family (and their spouse) who believes in similar craziness. The person indoctrinated their spouse who was already borderline irrational so they weren't too hard to convince. Thankfully neither of them have cancer but they literally believe that any psychiatric disorder can be erased by re-programming your thinking. They believe in energies, positive thinking, the power of the mind, the same crap like Bec. These ideas are always the same. Of course, they are anti-vax; their children and dog have never been vaccinated for anything. They read pseudoscience self-help books. They are the perfect prey to charlatans and cults and were part of a certain cult at some point.

Eamon then said that women who have estrogen positive breast cancers should be told about the risks of being pregnant. I couldn't believe my ears. No mention of the hormone medication. Did she just stop it without telling her doctor?

Another thing that caught my ear - she says that the vibe from her doctor after her first cancer battle was that she would never get cancer again. What?? First of all, her surgery margins were not good. There was cancer there. She was stage 3 and was told it was aggressive. She was told that she was NED and she thought that was it, no more cancer ever again. Saying that it was the doctor who suggested that there would be no cancer ever again is crazy.

What has happened to them? I used to love Eamon and Bec, but they are just giving out misleading information. It's like they went down this crazy internet hole after her first cancer. It's like different people.

Sure positive thinking etc will help you cope with a diagnosis and trying to remain as relaxed and calm as you can, but it can't get rid of the actual cancer. Are they really claiming that her scans and blood work look amazing because she does some mediation each day?

I always did wonder why she had her hair still because I assumed she would be on some kind of treatment. I'd like to know what the doctors have actually said because I don't think we are getting anywhere near the full story.

She did lose her hair during her first treatment.
That's exactly what they seem to be claiming. 'Inner work', meditation and 'alignment' are shrinking her tumours. It's extremely irresponsible what they are doing.
