It’s important to note she had her ovaries removed when she had her c section delivering thus shutting down her oestrogen. I assume her reduction is largely down to her cancer no longer having a food source, however as we all sadly know it will grow again.

Absolute madness. I don't know the details of what her charlatan guru preaches but can imagine that it's the typical bollocks. There is someone in our family (and their spouse) who believes in similar craziness. The person indoctrinated their spouse who was already borderline irrational so they weren't too hard to convince. Thankfully neither of them have cancer but they literally believe that any psychiatric disorder can be erased by re-programming your thinking. 🐦 They believe in energies, positive thinking, the power of the mind, the same crap like Bec. These ideas are always the same. Of course, they are anti-vax; their children and dog have never been vaccinated for anything. They read pseudoscience self-help books. They are the perfect prey to charlatans and cults and were part of a certain cult at some point.
Yep, similar mindset going on with B and E has also swallowed the Flavor Aid.

I remember that. She said the doctor told her that the chance of recurrence after a lumpectomy was just above 10% and a chance of recurrence after a mastectomy was just below 10%.
Yes utter bollocks. They are trying to re-write history. Now they say that the vibe was that the cancer will never return and that the doctor told them to go live their lives. I guess Bec took that as stopping the Tamoxifen and immediately trying for a baby.
There is a new episode of their podcast. Probably more energies and alignment talk.
We have talked about in on the previous page. She basically believes everything that comes out of her medication guru’s mouth. He has done a m saying something like people who meditate lots have better blood work so could probably do transfusions to cure cancer and that they will be able to cure all illnesses in the near future.

Absolute baseless bollocks. It goes without saying it is not peer reviewed, yet Bec is lapping it up, without questioning anything.

I watched it but not sure i fully understood it all.
Had Bec not had chemo/radiation treatment recently and had only taken it when cancer had spread to her liver ?
I really hope she's well, i wish them good health and happiness

Guess also dealing with the anniversary of her friends suicide, to whom she was very close and the baby named after.
Sometimes you just can't take anymore and you retreat to your safe place.
I like them and have only heard positive words about Bec from people who have met them.
Wishing her well as she can be x
Yes. I went back and watched Lee's videos last year, and Max's reaction video as well, I learned a lot about how isolating the experience of vlogging can be from watching them, and the impact the audience can have on a vlogger. It was helpful to my own understanding.

People feel emboldened and forget that they are reaponding to real people and not two dimensional characters on a screen. I don't read their comments so I have no idea how their subs react to them directly.

Maybe the tumors on her head were from the spread of her bone cancer - mets on her skull maybe?

Hearing of all these vegans lately with cancer makes me wonder if they eat a lot of tofu, which is a form of soy I think. I can't remember all the reasons - tried to look it up: "Soy contains phytoestrogens, which can behave like estrogen in the body. Some studies have suggested that soy consumption may be linked to: Increased serum estrogen, Thyroid disorders, Male infertility, and Breast cancer"

Yes she said chemo didn't work and there is no other treatment other than alternative. She literally implied that there is no treatment for stage 4 cancer other than meditation and re-wiring your brain.
---

Saydee! Good to see you in this corner. I wonder if you could make some sense of this. I wanted to recommend some of their videos to you but then I don't want you to suffer through it. If you watch their podcast, you will definitely think that they have lost their minds.

They are vegan, new age, eco, bio, van lifers (I know ) with a very successful youtube channel called Eamon & Bec (over million subscribers) and now a podcast too. I only noticed them when she became diagnosed. They seem like good people to me albeit frustrating and with very different ideologies.

Some background on Bec's cancer. Diagnosed in 2021, her cancer was invasive ductal carcinoma, estrogen positive. It was believed to be stage 0 at first but then became stage 3 due to bad surgery margins (other reasons?). There was cancer all over the margins. All investigated lymph nodes were negative for cancer. Bec chose to have a lumpectomy. The doctor told her that as her cancer was not caused by a known gene, it did not warrant a mastectomy and the risk of recurrence was similar with lumpectomy and mastectomy. She received chemo and radiation. She had a couple of clear scans and then got pregnant. She must have stopped her post treatment hormonal drugs. She started to experience shoulder pain whilst deep into the pregnancy and a couple of months later is diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer with tumours in the bones and liver. The baby is delivered 6 weeks early to reduce the oestrogen in Bec's body which was causing tumours to grow rapidly. She said she wants positive vibes and she doesn't want negativity from her followers and people around her. She asked people in her environment to respect that and she asked the same of her viewers. She implied she doesn't want her life to be about cancer and doesn't want to talk about it much. And now things turned crazy if they weren't already. In their "come-back" video which informed us that she is now stage 4, she also mentioned that the metastases are reduced, she no longer has pain, and her scans are good. She said she meditates for hours and can do cartwheels again. They then talked about it a bit in their podcast. The jist of it is that as the chemo (for the original cancer) didn't work (as it returned, she says), there no longer is treatment for her and they are doing alternative stuff, mainly meditation. She mentioned "infusions" too but we don't know what those are. She again said that the scans are good and tumour markers are good. They said that they believed she is healed from stage 4 cancer.
Thanks @LeonorG
This is both shocking and saddening to read.
I have some thoughts as to what could be going on though. Will watch some videos, read some threads and come back.

Of course when my husband had exhausted all treatments I went off searching and left no stone unturned. I was pointed in the direction of a clinic in Mexico...... which I quickly realised was a scam. I later did connect with an alternative doctor based in Brussels where he looked over all my husbands medical files and imaging. He ran hundreds of blood tests on my husband using Genova diagnostics where they look at gut health, nutrition, immune function, the endocrine system, and genomics. From there, he wrote up a "personalised protocol" to hopefully help my husband. The personalised protocol was laughable! I still have it stored it my email account. It is shocking stuff. Me being me decided I would set up a facebook support group to connect with all his other patients which did very well. It attracted a few hundred stage 4 patients, but what we all quickly learnt is that the "personalised protocol" was the same for all patients. Nothing was personal to any patient.
He had obviously wrote up a 50 page plan and sells it to desperate patients. He never imagined that those patients might connect and start asking questions!

Anyone see this ? I also seen a photo that was taking down shortly after being posted and Bec had a large lump on her head. All this points to the cancer being back. Hope I am wrong but it does seem serious. I hope she is doing ok. She really has been through it & post partum is no joke.

It must be very difficult for Bec that after all her meditation and being happy and jolly and doing cartwheels and saying/thinking that it will beat cancer or keep her on an even keel but then it didn't and there is progression, it must be very frightening for her. I'd be scared and feeling sad. Eamon looked p****d off rather than scared.
I send positive thoughts as that's what Bec wants but i hope she keeps taking the chemo too.

At this point, it seems like they’ve lost the baby. Even if she was in the NICU, they would’ve said something. Since it’s been radio silence, that’s the only explanation. That and that Bec’s cancer is back. It really was pretty irresponsible to not wait to get pregnant, since increased estrogen is likely to get you back where you started.

Their fan base is not happy with them at all, obviously they have every right to not be present as I’m sure what they are going through is so hard but then again the silence is just fear mongering.

Sorry to hear about your sister. Oh god, so the head growth is part of it. You are right, they did not really say much about the cancer. Her hair length is exactly the same as when we saw her when she was still pregnant.

Maybe they weren't given good news and they can't bring themselves to say it out loud. But then she seems to have responded well to treatment seeing that the tumours shrunk. Hopefully she will get a few good years.
Thank you. And yeah, the head growths came with the cancer was spreading more. I was surprised by her hair length too cause she must be on chemo and I imagine quite strong to be able to target lots of tumors. I agree, maybe they just wanted to keep a lot themselves and try be positive. It did seem a bit odd at parts though like they weren't telling us it all

True. They knew about oestrogen and why the medication was important. Now they are changing the narrative to "we were led to believe that cancer would never return and weren't informed about the risks of getting pregnant so soon".
---

Re cancer, all we know is that all is good, scans good, mets in the liver and bones reduced, no more pain, tumour markers down. She says prognosis was bad but now miraculously good in that shorter video I shared a while ago. She doesn't like sharing about it anymore. Eamon wanted to film her in the hospital and she said no. I guess influencers like to share when it's all good and they can show how heroically they "beat" cancer. Once it gets serious, there is less fun in it. We know Bec likes to be seen as a hero and a badass.

I wonder if @Saydee knows about these two. I can't imagine her being able to stomach their nonsense.
---

Bec literally has the cult glaze going on now. The mad beaming smile she has on her face is creepy. She also says a lot of words but it's nothing new. It's the same old ideology. She is indoctrinated.
Hi @LeonorG no I haven't come across this couples videos.
I take it that they are refusing treatment and heading down the alternative treatment route? :(

I haven't watched Eamon and Bec in ages. I did watch the vlogs when she found out she was pregnant and I was really happy for them after what they'd been through. Really sad to hear you say the cancer is back.
In their circumstances not sure I'd want to carry on documenting my live and just focus on recovery and enjoying my family. The trouble with YouTube as a career choice means this may not be financially viable, especially if both of your careers are SM based and there's no employee safety net of sick pay, maternity pay etc
I agree. I wouldn't want to put myself out there, especially with all the estrogen dominant cancer armchair experts out there now. No matter what treatment she chooses or doesn't chose people will find issue with it. They did mention a podcast which I think would serve them better and keep their audience up with them while not having the negativity they've been experiencing
