I haven't watched it yet but based on the critical comments, apparently she now implies that ADHD is not real and labels are bad

Next she will say that she doesn't have cancer, that it's only in the mind

She is close to that belief already anyway.
I don't know why people are surprised. Bec is not a rational person. Of course she will be against what real medicine says about illnesses.
Wow, their commenters are so respectful and diplomatic.
I watched a little, how ironic that I just mentioned the concern about Frankie falling off the bed...and it happened.
I think she has gone completely cuckoo. She is a walking cliche. Completely unoriginal. It's like watching a tv show (House MD for example) where the character is a vegan hippie who doesn't vaccinate her kids and has crazy beliefs. Then there is an outbreak of a rare infection or illness because of these irresponsible parents.
How coincidental, I had a friend describe an old episode of House to me recently pertaining to
me. I had to search YT to locate it (and I did). Funny how you should mention that show as well.
She was smiling widely while he was reciting these lines. It's like she told him what to say. It's like he's been imprisoned by her and is forced to keep up with her toxic positivity. Let me know if you got the same vibe. He also always repeats the same lines about her being a superwoman and a badass. She watches him intently and is smiling, like she is proud of him doing what he is told. I think he is not the brightest guy. I got different vibes from Bec this time. Like she is controlling and is not that easy to be around.
I am noticing she interrupted him a lot after she asked him a question, yet listens quietly if the answer is a compliment towards her. I got the impression I was watching a mum and her young son, her trying to guide his response, or offer it herself, to what she was hoping to elicit. I think new age thinkers develop this overconfidence about themselves, it's a belief system where you believe your thoughts control your environment so it can lead to a sense of self importance. I see her lauding it over Eamon as though she is in control of everything.
however she seems to truly believe she is going to cure herself and its going to be so sad/devastating when the inevitable happens and there is progression. So sad.
I agree, placebo effect is great for feeling strong and feeling empowered. I always thought it was Eamon who demonstrated toxic positivity, not validating Bec's cancer or the seriousness of her condition, but always acting like everything would be fine. But Bec and her new age thinking is now doing the same thing.
I think one of the most important lessons in life is that we are often NOT in control of our circumstances. I am really against this false narrative espoused by new age thinkers that cancer (or name your illness) is caused by the internalisation of certain feelings or experiences. It leads to the impression that people are
responsible for their condition. I am so against blaming people for not being able to "fix" their illnesses through a change in their thinking or belief system.
Children and babies die from cancer, for heaven's sake. They did not develop it through any false thinking on their part. People who die from cancer haven't failed to correct their self-limiting beliefs, and people who overcome cancer aren't simply better at it. I am enraged by this way of thinking and judgemental view towards others. I fear Bec is in for a painful realisation as well.
