Yes, but.. like a lot of people online have said, they purposely used a cliffhanger about the state of their baby (many people have figured she didn’t survive due to them not posting anything about the birth at all and then going dark for 3 weeks). It’s very manipulative to let people assume your baby has died (because no normal person wouldn’t just post something as simple as.. “baby is here and we are recovering”). They are a manipulative pair.

Of course this does mean that something is wrong with Bec and, as many predicted, it must mean her cancer is back and is likely at stage 4. It was a really really bad decision to have a baby this early after cancer remission.. just like her doctors have told her. Honestly, so selfish.

Starting this thread for them, since there's been a lot of chatter since their most recent cryptic video.

@LeonorG Have you been watching their podcasts? I thought it was a compelling premise, I also wanted to know what's gone on for the past 3 years. But, I'm having a really hard time getting through them, I watched the second one, but am only about 1/2 way through the first because I have to split it into segments. I'm finding them sooooo long and meandering, it's not capturing my attention like I thought they would.

I'm even finding myself getting annoyed. I think I am just long past their approach and life philosophy; been there, done that, that it's difficult for me to see them so untethered from reality.

I think I understand Eamon a bit better, his ADD or ADHD explains much of his own challenges in focus and inclination to flit all over the place in thought and activity. I appreciate his lack of monetary attachment and belief he'd be just as happy opening a sandwich shop. Of course, his comment about noticing that his own parenting video received much less views than is typical may refute that.

Once I get through the first one, I don't see myself being that interested in watching their guest interviews in the future.

I was just curious if you or anyone else was watching them and had any thoughts.

I watched for a few minutes towards the end and he literally says that Bec has been healed from cancer.

Eamon: She doesn't, we don't believe that she's living with stage four cancer
Bec: Yeah
Eamon: It's just not, she's been healed from that, that was a little thing she had and now it's, you know it's very effing cool
Bec: Thank you babe

I can't believe he thought a little weed would be fine in pregnancy. I'm glad she talks about how hurt she was by this. But he's trying to justify it by saying if she did it and didn't internalise it then it would be fine. It's actually shocking to hear especially as I'm pregnant just now.

I haven't watched it yet but based on the critical comments, apparently she now implies that ADHD is not real and labels are bad 🤣
Next she will say that she doesn't have cancer, that it's only in the mind 🤣😂
She is close to that belief already anyway.

I don't know why people are surprised. Bec is not a rational person. Of course she will be against what real medicine says about illnesses.
Wow, their commenters are so respectful and diplomatic.

I watched a little, how ironic that I just mentioned the concern about Frankie falling off the bed...and it happened.

I think she has gone completely cuckoo. She is a walking cliche. Completely unoriginal. It's like watching a tv show (House MD for example) where the character is a vegan hippie who doesn't vaccinate her kids and has crazy beliefs. Then there is an outbreak of a rare infection or illness because of these irresponsible parents.
How coincidental, I had a friend describe an old episode of House to me recently pertaining to me. I had to search YT to locate it (and I did). Funny how you should mention that show as well. :)

She was smiling widely while he was reciting these lines. It's like she told him what to say. It's like he's been imprisoned by her and is forced to keep up with her toxic positivity. Let me know if you got the same vibe. He also always repeats the same lines about her being a superwoman and a badass. She watches him intently and is smiling, like she is proud of him doing what he is told. I think he is not the brightest guy. I got different vibes from Bec this time. Like she is controlling and is not that easy to be around.
I am noticing she interrupted him a lot after she asked him a question, yet listens quietly if the answer is a compliment towards her. I got the impression I was watching a mum and her young son, her trying to guide his response, or offer it herself, to what she was hoping to elicit. I think new age thinkers develop this overconfidence about themselves, it's a belief system where you believe your thoughts control your environment so it can lead to a sense of self importance. I see her lauding it over Eamon as though she is in control of everything.

however she seems to truly believe she is going to cure herself and its going to be so sad/devastating when the inevitable happens and there is progression. So sad.
I agree, placebo effect is great for feeling strong and feeling empowered. I always thought it was Eamon who demonstrated toxic positivity, not validating Bec's cancer or the seriousness of her condition, but always acting like everything would be fine. But Bec and her new age thinking is now doing the same thing.

I think one of the most important lessons in life is that we are often NOT in control of our circumstances. I am really against this false narrative espoused by new age thinkers that cancer (or name your illness) is caused by the internalisation of certain feelings or experiences. It leads to the impression that people are responsible for their condition. I am so against blaming people for not being able to "fix" their illnesses through a change in their thinking or belief system.

Children and babies die from cancer, for heaven's sake. They did not develop it through any false thinking on their part. People who die from cancer haven't failed to correct their self-limiting beliefs, and people who overcome cancer aren't simply better at it. I am enraged by this way of thinking and judgemental view towards others. I fear Bec is in for a painful realisation as well.

I agree with anyone doing what they need to do to get through and she has been dealt a cruel deck of cards but and it’s a big but I really dislike the whole way of thinking that you just need to try harder to manifest beating an illness. WTAF? So if Bec dies she just didn’t try to manifest beating cancer enough? I know where that line of thought comes from, that crack Joe guy and his cult. I can imagine the shock she felt when those scans came back showing progression, she had been telling everyone her meditation had beaten it. Chemo is keeping her alive, not positive thoughts although as. I said, if that helps her good ) . I hope it keeps her stable but she has clearly gone down hill.

The 'positive energey only' agenda is part of the fear and denial. Forcing positivity is more unhelpful and damaging than openly talking about reality and facts. She says that they instructed the people around them to go by this ideology and they are trying to extend it to their followers. Forcing censorship on people will not work. People will discuss it and discussing it does not create negative energies or similar nonsense. Eamon and Bec should support open dialogue and allow people to share knowledge and experience. That's what helps people and not putting on fake smiles and pretending that everything is fine.
They are very experienced YTbers, I imagine they have thick skins by now to pick and choose what is helpful without throwing out the baby with the bathwater.

It is always a balance trying to sort through helpful support from those trying to help but with very unhelpful "advice" or demeanour. They are certainly entitled to ask for a certain mindset of those in their inner orbit, and to ask for healing, positive energy from their subs. I just don't think their blanket radio silence didn't increase ongoing negative energy when they left their subs confused and worried for months. I understand why they may not have wanted to share, though, but let's be honest, they weren't generating a positive energetic field by dropping off like that.

Eamon's perpetual positivity also seems counter to the support she needs to get through the real life events and the real fears associated with her experiences, and the decisions that need to be made based upon accurate info. I'd be so frustrated if my partner met me with "everything will be okay" when clearly everything was not okay and everything was not working out as well as he had promised it would. There's "looking on the bright side" and then there's ignoring all reality.

While not a health focus:

Researchers from the University of Bath and London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) studied people’s financial expectations in life and compared them to actual outcomes over an 18-year period. They found that when it comes to the happiness stakes, overestimating outcomes was associated with lower wellbeing than setting realistic expectations.

The findings point to the benefits of making decisions based on accurate, unbiased assessments. They bring in to question the ‘power of positive thinking’ which frames optimism as a self-fulfilling prophecy, whereby believing in success delivers it, along with immediate happiness generated by picturing a positive future.
And:

Negative thinking should not replace positive thinking though. Pessimists also fared badly compared to realists, undermining the view that low expectations limit disappointment and present a route to contentment.

Their numbers are dwarfed though by the number of people - estimated to be 80 percent of the population – who can be classed as unrealistic optimists. These people tend to overestimate the likelihood that good things will happen and underestimate the possibility of bad things. High expectations set them up for large doses of destructive disappointment.

“Plans based on inaccurate beliefs make for poor decisions and are bound to deliver worse outcomes than would rational, realistic beliefs, leading to lower well-being for both optimists and pessimists."

Of course, that's not to say Bec can't face her challenges with determination and a positive, peaceful mindset. If it helps her to meditate for hours each day and she's able to, even with a young baby, then I see it very much in line with their brand and general approach to life. A quiet mind must help maintain healthy habits, good sleep and a strong constitution.

Generally speaking, they seem like decent people. I am sorry she is having to go through this. I wish her the best outcome possible.

Maybe the tumors on her head were from the spread of her bone cancer - mets on her skull maybe?

Hearing of all these vegans lately with cancer makes me wonder if they eat a lot of tofu, which is a form of soy I think. I can't remember all the reasons - tried to look it up: "Soy contains phytoestrogens, which can behave like estrogen in the body. Some studies have suggested that soy consumption may be linked to: Increased serum estrogen, Thyroid disorders, Male infertility, and Breast cancer"
From the Mayo Clinic:

It was once thought that soy foods increase the risk of breast cancer. However, eating a moderate amount of soy foods does not increase risk of breast cancer — or other types of cancer. A moderate amount is one to two servings a day of whole-soy foods, such as tofu, soy milk and edamame.

So where did the idea come from that soy increases breast cancer risk? Isoflavones, which are found in soy, are plant estrogens. High levels of estrogen have been linked to an increased risk of breast cancer. However, food sources of soy don't contain high enough levels of isoflavones to increase the risk of breast cancer.

Soy or isoflavone supplements, on the other hand, generally contain higher levels of isoflavones. Some studies have suggested a link between soy or isoflavone supplements and an increased risk of breast cancer in women who have a family or personal history of breast cancer or thyroid problems.

Talk with your doctor or dietitian before taking supplements.

I'm vegan and drink soy milk and eat tofu every day. Soy in food is protective against breast and other cancers. Because of my whole food plant-based diet, my cancer risk is lowered. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9410752/

They lived in a van. Gas fumes would likely be more of a threat than tofu.

The infusions could be for bone strengthening. Would she admit being on maintenance chemo? Is that a thing with her type of cancer? She has said her chemo didn’t work and that’s why it came back. It could be argued she refused tamoxifen and got pregnant less than a year after having oestrogen fed breast cancer for being the reason it came back. The thing with most if not all of these ‘healing gurus’ is the fact most have had conventional treatment at some point which has treated/cured them. They conveniently don’t mention that.

Eamon said he doesnt think she has cancer and she doesn’t identify/has healed herself with her mind 😳🤯🤷‍♀️. I get doing whatever you have to do to cope, I really do and I hate cancer, Bec doesn’t deserve this, nobody does, however she seems to truly believe she is going to cure herself and its going to be so sad/devastating when the inevitable happens and there is progression. So sad.

The wild mad smile from Bec is very off putting. It is crazy town and she is IMO following the cult of that Dr Joe guy. It’s toxic. I agree Eamon is as delusional as her in many ways, but I do think he knows better than to disagree with her about anything atm. Also looking back over their old vlogs and Bec talking about having to take Tamoxifen for 5/10 years, being grumpy about it but then reframing it to say it will stop her cancer coming back. There was a complete understanding about oestrogen and they have clearly chosen to ignore it and have a baby. I don’t like the way they have tried to throw the doctors under the bus. Take responsibility . They gambled and it did not work out.
True. They knew about oestrogen and why the medication was important. Now they are changing the narrative to "we were led to believe that cancer would never return and weren't informed about the risks of getting pregnant so soon".
---
I am also so surprised thatt Eamon is no longer vegan. I can't recall if Bec said she still was? It was so incorporated into their van life and even offering their vegan recipes.

Seems so strange that he made such a fundamental change to part of their image branding, but did not mention it earlier.

Perhaps this switch over to watching him do home renos and such when they returned from their hiatus, they no longer found personal aspects of their lives important to share? I don't know if I missed it earlier, I also wasn't aware that recreational drug use and experimentation was part of his/their? lifestyle.

Also, I'm still not clear on Bec's cancer status? She is Stage 4, taking some kind of treatment as well as alternatives? Is she NED? Has she said her prognosis, or what happened to the metastases? or how it was treated? Is she scanned regularly? Is she now taking oestrogen blockers?

Has she said she is no longer sharing this part of her life publically, or will she update her viewership?

Thanks to anyone that has watched more than me and may know.
Re cancer, all we know is that all is good, scans good, mets in the liver and bones reduced, no more pain, tumour markers down. She says prognosis was bad but now miraculously good in that shorter video I shared a while ago. She doesn't like sharing about it anymore. Eamon wanted to film her in the hospital and she said no. I guess influencers like to share when it's all good and they can show how heroically they "beat" cancer. Once it gets serious, there is less fun in it. We know Bec likes to be seen as a hero and a badass.

I wonder if @Saydee knows about these two. I can't imagine her being able to stomach their nonsense.
---
I listened to the latest pod earlier. They honestly sound like two people being indoctrinated into a cult, regarding that meditation fella they keep going on about. Seriously concerning to hear the pseudoscience Bec was parroting.
Bec literally has the cult glaze going on now. The mad beaming smile she has on her face is creepy. She also says a lot of words but it's nothing new. It's the same old ideology. She is indoctrinated.

I watched it but not sure i fully understood it all.
Had Bec not had chemo/radiation treatment recently and had only taken it when cancer had spread to her liver ?
I really hope she's well, i wish them good health and happiness
I think she had some previously when she had to have Frankie early and then was in the mediation phase when they were going on about positive vibes healing her until this most recent phase.

I can't believe they are so against chemo. I have 2 siblings who went through cancer and I know chemo is rough but it will give her more time. It's like she's decided to have it right at the last second.

She had her ovaries removed so I imagine that shut down her cancers food supply hence the cancer shrinking/markers down/less pain, I also believe she is getting treatment of sort from the hospital, that’s the thing, I want her to be clear what traditional treatments she is having. If the meditation is helping her then brilliant, I wouldn’t wish what she is going through on my worse enemy, but to put out that it’s the only thing helping is wrong on every level.

Extremely well said! (y)

I should add, it is them insisting on positive energy only. I was merely commenting on how they might have contributed to heightened negative energy in the force field by leaving everyone hanging in confusion for months, then returning with only half answers.

They could also turn off their comments to limit negative energy or exposure. But, of course they won't do that since it impacts the YT algorithm that pushes up their popularity, exposure and revenue.

I've met them and I'm genuinely sad about Bec's cancer but I just can't watch them anymore.. It's heartbreaking and all of the things you are all saying..
Hopefully she was or is getting some real treatment and it's not just hours of meditation. If so, she could just say it.

I like them and wish them the best although they are frustrating. They frustrate even more because they are likeable and you don't want this to end tragically.
