If anyone follows nohun on insta (love him) he made a video about being single and he said “if you make a man feel like he’s the best he will start to think he can do better that you” that hit differently 😆😆😆

no idea how to take these.. he said he still wants to go on dates..?
This guy is telling you everything you need to know. Everything. He won't make time for you. Wish him the best and off to the next...unless you're happy to be 52nd on his list of things to get around to in a given day. He's just not the guy for you.

Agree, plus he’s explained he was busy when you met (via a dating app I guess) and he’s now just as busy (but probably still on the dating app). If he has no time for a relationship then he’s really just looking for sex/the benefits of a relationship with none of the commitment. He’s admitted this to you albeit in a long winded and over explanatory way to try and make it sound less cut and dry than that.

Why is it that phone calls are easy but video calls so effing awkward?!! 🤦🏼‍♀️ I think I scared one off this eve 🤣

Petty update: Deleted blue tick guy's contact yesterday after FIVE days of no response. Voila, whaddya know, I hear from him early this morning with an apology for being AWOL. Definitely not going to bother replying, he can assume our Friday date's off, I've got other plans. 🤭

I think that’s for the best, honestly. I know people are busy but that’s not normal. Especially if it’s upset you to the point that you’ve cried. He sounds like he wants the nice stuff like going on dates (maybe sex, I’m not sure if you’ve gone that far yet) but has no interest in your daily life or you as a person. Get. In. The. Bin.

Being silent is way more satisfying than replying to these idiots.

So I rang him on my lunch. He didn’t answer. I was having palpitations! He text me saying he was on the other line and if I was ok? I replied saying “no! Why didn’t you kiss me?!” (Mouth engages before brain 🤦🏼‍♀️) Then he rang me back! He’s going to ring me again tonight 😰
How did the call go?

I am currently reading "Ghosts" by Dolly Alderton and she describes being ghosted by someone she dated for three months or so. It is very good and describes the situation very well, but I feel that she doesn't understand the level of hurt and abandonment we feel when dates go suddenly silent.
She just lists the texts her character writes to her date, and doesn't talk about the emotions in between those texts.
It makes me wonder whether she ever experienced it.
It also makes me wonder whether we could write a bestseller by sharing our experiences 😉❤

I really hope we can all meet up and share our experiences, will be like chicken soup for the soul! My friend tried to blame the “Saturday night groper” (now my new little mate 🤣🤣🤣) on my dress!! 🙄🙄seriously sometimes our friends are well meaning but it’s impossible to get them to relate isn’t it? Xx

Ooh. The three month ghost.. They text you everyday from waking up to going to bed, date you multiple times a week and then the ghosting hits. I bet she doesn’t talk about randomly waking up one day and their name isn’t on your phone, you don’t hear from them all day and then suddenly you’re pushed off a cliff into oblivion but there’s nothing you can do about it because they say everything is fine or they’re just busy but you know there’s more to it.

Ghosting is a spiteful, cowardly and traumatic way to treat someone....sometimes I wonder where the cruelty in men comes from these days. The way some of them behave is the emotional equivalent of pulling the wings off a fly 😢
I am still traumatised by the 12 minute phone call that ended my relationship, the words used...i think the damage that gets caused is like third degree burns that no one can see. I love films like girl on the train and I just finished a book called the “wife between us” which is like gone girl/ girl on the train...it’s great to read about women overcoming emotional trauma and not reliant on a man at the end of it. Find reading these sort of books are really healing xx

Your friend actually said his lack of self control and sexually harassing you was because of the dress you chose to wear?? Wow !! Some women really need to do better in how they excuse and enable such crappy behaviour from men.

I hate this, it's so anxiety inducing. Just like the slow fade - do you call them out on it and ask directly if they are still interested or do you just play it cool and leave them be?

You spend all day reasoning why they've not been in contact. Maybe something urgent cropped up or they have no battery. Then they throw you just enough to keep your hopes up before leaving you hanging again.

You took my thoughts out of my mind too! Sack her off too!!! Our clothes choices do not give men opportunities to harass us! Fck her.

Breadcrumbing! Giving someone the absolute bare minimum to keep them around.
It's also so embarrassing when you've been dating someone, got excited and told other people about it, and then they ask how things are going on and you have to explain that they disappeared without a word 😅

What’s the context here? Did you ask him if he’d gone off you and if he’s talking to anyone else?

Honestly, the best piece of advice I’ve received while dating is that you shouldn’t be wondering whether or not they like you. If they like you, it’s 100% clear.

It sounds like this guy is way too busy for anything else. I’d cut him loose.
after a few days of silence I basically explained that I’m looking for something more and if he isn’t interested/seeing someone else I’d rather just know!
Thanks, I’m not quite sure how to respond and cut it off but you’re right, he clearly has other priorities and isn’t the right one for me!

I didn't realise there was an actual term for that 😅.

Yeah I totally agree. I've been single for so long that I'm so used to that. Even now I'm more cautious and only tend to really talk about someone when I've been dating them for a few months and think things are actually going somewhere. But it still ends up that they disappear without a trace or "not ready for a relationship" (which means they are, but just not with me 😅).
