Plenty of people here have also said they got into events without having to show their tests results. The poster went to Wimbledon twice not every sporting event, and she also went to the protests as did 100s of 1000s of other people
She lived in a small village, as do I, and I have found the same. I've said many times if I didn't know there was a virus then I would not know there was anything wrong if I just stayed in my village, no one in my village wears masks at least not in the village
She and the children moved back when it got bad in India but her husband stayed, the media were still reporting things were dreadful over there when things had actually calmed down. Other people were posting videos from India showing people just going about their day without the sensationalism of media reporting.

Remember China and people keeling over and dying in the street? that's media for you,. It didn't happen Same with India many of the photos and videos were from a gas leak a few years before.

OT for a moment. My sister's stepson took that photo of the wedding :D

back on topic. How do they test for the varients? The tests are not that reliable so wondering how they know what variant people have :/
Or it was all a lie for an online anonymous forum, shock horror.

I am really worried about getting my vaccine now on Wednesday. In some ways I wish I had just had when I should have because the more that’s being published about the side effects is off putting. Has anyone here had the Pfizer vaccine ? I know someone on here mentioned a family member had heart failure and due to me having sinus tachycardia I am beyond worried.
If you are worried speak to your GP.

People you don't know on a gossip forum aren't the best people to ask and we can't give you professional reassurance.

From a personal perspective I have the Pfizer jab and bar a sore arm and tiredness for the couple of days after, I had no symptoms

The masks and social distancing were completely pointless as everyone there will have had a PCR test to form their own bubble that the public could get nowhere near.
I worked on one of the G7 sites. Before we went to site we were told to bring our own lft tests and everyone was supposed to test each day. No one bothered to check if anyone was doing it. People were taking things from our sites to the delegates hotels and the airport.
So I don’t believe anything about bubbles and no one being allowed near them. Did you not see the president of the USA sitting in a bar with joe public. It’s all lies

It’s irresponsible to come out of isolation imo not rebel at all, careless in fact. Just my opinion not meaning to cause offence I’m sure it’s just a joke.
There is no legal obligation to isolate if pinged by the app. Only if directly contacted by track and trace (and here in wales only if not double jabbed).

I can only talk for me but I won't be complying. You can shut hospitality, have events behind closed doors etc but never again will I be avoiding friends and family even indoors.

Natural immunity isn't as strong as what the vaccine gives you and it doesn't last as long as what the vaccine does. You complain about it being coercive to try and force you to have a jab but don't like the idea of business owners deciding who works from them. If you don't want the jab don't have it. If a business owner doesn't want staff or customers who haven't had the jab they don't have to because it's their choice just like it's yours. You are a third as likely to pass on covid or catch it if you've been jabbed.
Wrong, recent studies into the vaccines show a rapid decline at 6 months down to 16%. So sorry, not superior to natural immunity.
If you want to support segregation, that’s your choice, just like it’s mine to oppose it.

I'm fed up if the different rules for government .

I'm fed up if the perpetual lie that vaccines block transmission.

I'm extra fed up that once again their idiocy may lead to 2 half term circuit breakers/ mini lockdown ruining October and Xmas again.
Clearly school have an impact on infections yet they keep denying they do and refusing vaccinate teenagers.

Irreversible my arse. Cost of summer of freedom.
Dreading September.
Does anyone really think that if this was all that bad that they would honestly risk the health of the future King and his family, regardless of being vaccinated?

Same happened at the G7 summit, all of the leaders were allowed right up to The Queen with no quarantine at all.
Don't give me the "they were all tested" spiel, because we know how inaccurate LFT tests are, and we know you can be negative one day and positive the next, so still potentially infectious before that positive test.

In theory we can't continue without world leaders, but they seem to be able to risk their health and their colleagues health, and royalties health.

The ordinary joe though has to spunk over 2k to stay at the governments quarantine hotels or fly home early to avoid that cost, meaning they lose the money they've spent on that holiday because they're just so dirty and dangerous to society, again, regardless of vaccination status and testing.

These ministers are still mixing with the public and media, so no one can argue that they aren't as much risk - everyone they mix with all have families and kids who work and socialise, so able to spread their germs into a community.
Their germs aren't as dirty as ours though!

Infections haven't been broken because it's the school holidays, it's that parents aren't testing all the time. There is still absolutely no need imo to vaccinate anyone of school age as we have herd immunity with the figures they give us, but that's an argument for another thread

We have some totally bonkers crazy people in the UK. I cannot believe these are legit answers. 29% want rule of six OUTDOORS??? 17% want the restrictions of the original days of the pandemic??? So many people wanting businesses shut again? There are more selfish people around than I thought.

Some people are so inherently selfish - if something doesn’t immediately benefit them or their livelihood they can’t understand why it’s needed. Nightclubs for example are easy targets in all this because they are not seen as important to most people who are 40+, yet they create jobs and infrastructure for thousands of people. Some people lived in fear before covid and the restrictions gave them a false sense of security.

Those polls are ridiculous though because in real life I’ve not met a single person who wanted restrictions to continue. I’ve just sat with a 90 year old while she cried telling me how she couldn’t see her husband of 70 years before he passed away last year ☹ Then to make matters worse, her support network of friends and lunch clubs was completely shut down. Her son lives in Spain and although he could come to the funeral, he’s not been back since.

The Columbian one is said to be even worse than the Delta that's the one they think is in Florida but the US don't sequence as much as the UK .
There will always be something else, it's a virus and it will always change. That's why the cock and bull passports and mandatory vaccines are pointless. Even if everyone took a jab it will never change, even the scientists have said that. Viruses are built to evade immunity and survive, its not a new thing, its centurys old basic science.
The only difference with this is the fear mongering that's gone with it

It makes me so angry that everyone is now saying “we’ll the double jabbed who have died had underlying health conditions”. This was never suppose to happen we were told that it would protect the vulnerable. The vaccine doesn’t seem to be working as well as they though it would look at Israel.
The vaccines do protect the vulnerable. Tens of thousands more of them would have died if it wasn't for the vaccines. We were told all along by the experts that people would still die. Boris mentions that often enough as well. We haven't been lied to.

You did say that to me on the vaccine thread and of course people jumped on you for even thinking it.... just goes to show what people are capable of:oops: .

Trinity College in Dublin are another place that think third level students should be mandated to have it ,if it happens the floodgates will open .
I said months ago how employment law and human rights law hasn't caught up with all this covid shit.
As it stands your rights are in your favour, what's against you is the pressure from companies, the fact that finding a job is like finding unicorn shit and the fact that the public are being put on the spot.
So after a year of being beaten down and scared shitless not many people have any fight left in them.
Not many people either were confrontational (which some companies took advantage of anyway), or want to be confrontational now because they're scared of losing their livelihoods and are really running low due to the fatigue that's been put on them.
Meanwhile again companies will take advantage of that.
It's completely out of order, counts as discrimination, coercion, against human rights and probably another God knows how many breeches.

So when people wonder why there are protests they need to consider that this is one of many reasons why. The minority are desperately trying to protect the majority

Just dropping in here to say that Mr Happy took part in trials for people who could have had Covid without any symptoms. He sent off his blood sample and had an email today which confirmed that he HAD C19 in the last six months. 😱

No symptoms, no idea, living with me, getting on with life, perhaps I had it too. 😳😱
You probably did! It must be very common, I’d bet a load of us on here have had it and didn’t know… and may never know. Glad neither of you even had any symptoms though.

Jeez they’ll be hoarding the toilet roll again 😂
Any idea how much shares in Andrex are and how to go about buying some

Interesting she's dropped people from her social circle for not having the jab. I couldn't care if friends or family have had it or not it's their body. Anyone on here got shut of someone from their life for not getting jabbed?

So why did you feel the need to say that when you apparently don't think it applies to the morons who took part in the protest at the former BBC HQ yesterday? Surely it wasn't simply to deflect from the embarrassment that these idiots caused your 'movement'?

You are so rude! you have got the wrong end of the stick and are way too arrogant to turn it the right way around. You haven't followed the thread properly and accused me of not reading an article I posted when I didn't post the article.
You said the BBC are not there anymore and that isn't true (they and ITV broadcast a lot of programs from there and you have repeated that lie over the forum and in other posts. It's you that is uninformed while accusing others of being idiots.
