Literally spat my coffee out when I read that!!This is probably why anal testing has been brought in because people told them to shove it up their arses
I wish him luck as my mum was incredibly unwell after her first jab. She’s not going to get her second jab as they have told her that it’s very likely to be another make, which is so shocking.Just heard from a family friend who’s getting his first jab on Thursday (4 Feb). He’s also booked in for his second jab on 29 April. He’s so pleased and he was impressed by the efficient and friendly way he was dealt with.
It's so worrying! Especially when they continually change the goalposts, like lockdown was meant to be over today - but now it looks like April. I'm so over staying at home. Obviously I'm thankful I'm healthy but I'm so bored. There's nothing to look forward to, I'm just glad I've got kids to keep me busy. If I was younger and used to going to festivals , concerts, nights out it would have been so much harder on my mental health. But in turn I'm more worried about the effects on the younger generation. They are missing out on so much! I keep hoping it will be over soon but it just doesn't look likely.I’m just completely fed up with it now. There will always be new strains as there is with the flu. I feel they keep sensationalising all of these “strains” to keep us in a continued cycle of lockdown. At this point I don’t believe we will ever get our freedoms back until there is mass civil unrest. I spoke to my brothers partner last night who is an occupational therapist for a top psychiatric hospital and she said the helpline for suicides has gone up 187%!! 187%!!!!!
We'll just go from lockdown into Tiers 4 and then 3 anyway which is still lockdownIt's so worrying! It’s awful isn’t it. I agree that there will always be a “new strain” and this is being used as a smokescreen to ensure that life will NEVER go back to normal. I mean, they are saying that one in three people are “asymptomatic”, but it’s such a “deadly” virus, you have to get tested in order to know you have it!! And now, they are pushing this so called vaccine on to the most vunerable in our society, who think that having an experimental shot in their arm will equal getting their lives back.I’m just completely fed up with it now. I agree, I've got a 17yr old who suffers badly with MH and has said she didn't think she'd make it to see 18. She's 18 in a few weeks and can't celebrate at someone her age should be able too. She's due to finish college soon and desperately wants to work, but chances of her finding something are very slim, so with no college to occupy her kind and no work I'm really worried. It's so worrying! Tier is just a fancy name for lockdown and a word that people weirdly now associate with freedom. What have we come too! We'll just go from lockdown into Tiers 4 and then 3 anyway which is still lockdown
I just can’t understand how anyone cannot see through it all now. How can they not see that figures are being manipulated!? How can they not see that the collateral damage of lockdown will completely outweigh any lives saved (which I doubt are any). How can they not see the government are lying through their teeth? How can they not see the media is complicit in all this rubbish? I should imagine the media are being paid hefty amounts by the govt to print all of this propaganda. Which means we’re effectively paying to be brainwashed and imprisoned! It’s absolutely crazy!I agree, I've got a 17yr old who suffers badly with MH and has said she didn't think she'd make it to see 18. My 14yr old has aches and pains where he's not moving and he's normally very active, and my 21yr old has had to rely on UC on and off, which is something that really did upset him as he's proud and just wants to work.
I'm going stir crazy and with nothing to do I just worry about them, so I have times of feeling low.
You can read what the government are going to decide like a book now, which begs the question how it can be so predictable when we're told it's am unpredictable virus

This is what they do in Leicester and have been doing since not long after testing started and they are STILL doing it.They can't do anything. It says there they're only urging people to have a test.
No way would I open the door to anyone (well I don't anyway to be fair ) and let them perform a test on me, or have them watch me on my doorstep.
Why does it need to be done anyway? I'm sure on the briefing that they said they run further tests on any positive cases to keep track of the virus anyway and any mutations... unless this is to keep the numbers up
I got invited too, not from Leicester though. Didn't want to though bc if I test positive I'll have to stay off work, not that I believe I'm positive but you know. This is what they do in Leicester and have been doing since not long after testing started and they are STILL doing it.
I got invited twice by imperial college London to help them with the studies by doing tests... No thank you!
That literally read as if to say.. well the UK found their own varient and we thought, ha! Two can play at that game! Look what we found lads!A new “Variant” has been found in Los Angeles, it’s being called the Kardasian Korona.
(Ok, so that last part was a joke..)

It’s crazy how bad it is here compared to other countries. It seems to be a European thing, although I did see that Italy have had to reduce restrictions because there was mass disobedience in the end (which I don’t blame them for!). My dad lives in Cape Town and although they have the “scary new variant” everything is still open and running as normal. They do have a curfew but he’s still out for coffee’s and going about his daily life as normal. God knows how we have ended up with the most totalitarian government. In a couple of months time the numbers will come down anyway due to seasonality, but of course it’ll be because the vaccine is working! Haven’t they got a big global summit going on in June in Cornwall? So they’ll have to lift restrictions for that, otherwise people will be quite rightly upset.
I’m honestly bewildered at the madness going on in the UK right now... meanwhile in the states although things aren’t great here at least everywhere is open. I went skiing the other day FFS. States that have less mandates and lockdowns are doing better than those that have been the strictest, such as california. Their governor only recently lifted the stay at home order, but only because he’s at risk of losing his job as people are fed up.
I’m also curious as to how many are strictly sticking to the rules at this point. No one is going to come out publicly to say they’re flouting the rules, but I know a lot of people who have been having ‘illegal’ dinner parties, or are travelling to see family on a regular basis.
Does it look like Biden will impose lockdowns? Can he even do that? Or enforce them via coercion through defunding states or..? Sorry I've no idea about US politics Honestly I am bamboozled by the fact that there are still people from the states screaming to be put into lockdown when it is evidently clear that once you go in you never come out.In a couple of months time the numbers will come down anyway due to seasonality, but of course it’ll be because the vaccine is working! I’m generally a bit clueless about American politics to be honest! My understanding is that even if Biden imposes a lockdown, it’s then up to the individual state’s governor to actually implement it. Hence why every state has taken a completely different approach, we have a decent amount of data now that we’re 10 months in to show what works and what doesn’t. Some states have very low population density also which helps them, I believe that our case numbers per 100,000 in Nevada are actually worse than the UK’s currently which says it all state schools never reopened but they’re looking at starting hybrid learning soon, because 18 students committed suicide last year. Private schools and preschools however are totally fine to be open however, the hypocrisy is just staggering. Either it’s safe or it’s not.Does it look like Biden will impose lockdowns? When I say I still can't believe this is my life. I'm not suicidal but I've few reasons to live either. I've had to delete Twitter because being confronted with constant stories about people's ruined businesses or disabled children going without therapy or 5 year olds saying "it's difficult to be happy mummy" makes me feel physically sick and uncontrollable rage at the same time. That's not including the economic catastrophe we're being forced into which the government is deliberately ignoring and many of the public are oblivious to. Our human rights, money, livelihoods, futures, mental and physical health have all been stolen from us, and still you're constantly told it's NEVER enough! Why would you ask for this!!
People are being faced with the mortality of themselves and those they love. Many have lost the ability to think straight because they have been caught up in their fear. I have huge compassion and empathy for them.I just can’t understand how anyone cannot see through it all now. How can they not see that figures are being manipulated!?
