Yup I totally think it's gonna be a damp squib. At no point is any of us gonna say 'Oh wow that's totally amazing, what a job to land especially in these difficult times. He truly has landed his dream job'.......nope not one. Someone here will have already called it. Ok, so I'm now also scrubbing English teacher off the potential new job list.

if its social care I think he would be taking folk out and about, helping them go places.

There are alot of fantastic people who do that job. But, it is very easy to get into and they are desperate to fill these posts so take nearly anyone. I've known two people who have done that job. Both work shy hypichondriacts, lazy etc who said it was the best job they had. Probably because you get a reasonable wage for minimum effort. As long as you dont lose the person you're grand. Anyway that is absolutely not a reflection on the great people who do put their all all into this type of work but there are alot of work shy people attracted to such work.

Either that or he is in a make up shop coz he kens whit us lassies are like!

“As long as you don’t lose the person you’re grand” . Just laughed out loud and reminded me of my student days on placement . I never lost anyone but had to disengage a few times when supporting people to appointments of the criminal justice kind
