Finally opened the Aldi turkey to get it ready for the oven and it smells rank 🤢 I have all the sides done already so rummaging through the freezer hoping to find something else to have as the main that’ll go with all the side dishes. First world problems I know!

It’s only half 6 and I’m already ready for bed. I feel sick, I went down to my mams apartment to give her and her bf their gifts. Now I am in my dads house since around 2, I have seen my little nieces and nephews and gave them their presents, also gave my dad and siblings theirs too. I just am waiting for dinner, probably gonna spend another hour or two after it and then prob have a drink and watch a film at home.

My dog is delighted though, my dad and my siblings all bought him presents because I have no kids so technically he’s my child 😂

I went for a swim this morning and then gave all my furry family their gifts. Mainly treat foods but some toys for the cats and a football for the alpacas 🦙 … they love footballs but they usually only last about a week before some eejit either stands on it or lays on it and leaves it flat 😆

I’ve just opened a can of M&S pornstar martini 🍸 and lit the snug fire. My life is so rock n’ roll 😂. I’ve made it through the obligatory monthly phone call to the ‘mother’ without feeling the need to eat my own body weight in chocolate so today is definitely a win.

I have felt the odd little pang of loneliness but nothing more than a fleeting moment. I’m taking on my nephews at Beat Sabre on the Occulus later so that will be fun …the joys of modern technology that let you beat 11 year olds at computer games while in completely different countries.

Worth it ? They’re pets but also bloody good guard dogs. We have 30 sheep and they protect them from anyone who comes near.

They’re funny creatures but expensive in upkeep.

Vaccinations, shearing, food etc all adds up but I’m hoping to get them to earn their keep eventually by offering alpaca walks on our land. You need at least three in case anything happens to one of them as they can’t handle being alone. We initially had a Dam and her cria but added another male cria that was in need of rescue from an unsuitable home.

I made my husband do some work on an alpaca farm before I agreed to getting them as he’d never had livestock animals before. I love their personality and how gentle they are. They’re also stupidly stubborn. I built them a barn at great expense and yet they just stand outside in all weathers unless I physically lock them inside 😂

Hope everyone had as good a day as possible and not too many hiccups (they come later ) :)🍷
I've had an eventful one with next doors pit bull destroying my fence ( eaten to bits ) and my son accidently smashing my telly 😶
Now getting unlimited calls and texts from a 9yr old new fangled with his first phone 😩😂
