He was sentenced to 12 years in 2013. He will be on license until March 2025, no exceptions, unless he appealed and got a reduced sentance, which is unlikely. He is essentially serving his prison sentence in the community so he would absolutely not be permitted to travel abroad unless it was an extreme emergency.

He hasn't completed his sentence though, that's the point. Eveyone who gets a custodial currently serves half their sentence inside and the reminder on license which means under the supervision of probation. He'll therefore be with probation until the end of his sentence in 2025.
The scenario you're talking about is when someone is given an community order, where the judge specifies a time period with probation or when the judge thinks they need extra time on license even after their sentence has ended.
Probably because his probation officer and the police have their suspicions but can't prove anything. That's why he always used to cover his face in photos. Getting a bit sloppy now though
He did time on remand so whatever time that was counts as double off his sentence, i was with a bloke and he done half is sentence and as soon as hes probation, cs and signing on at the police station was finished he was allowed abroad! Every prisoner gets different licence conditions (dependant on the crime). Hes conditions may well of now stopped and if he gets caught doing anything he just goes straight back to serve the rest of his sentence.
