Can I just mention that I genuinely love the Shrek films (especially the 2nd) but I honestly can't look at Shrek anymore without seeing Joel in his monstrosity of a costume. Immediate acid reflux.

I was once bullied for having brown hair and eyes -- not exactly a very spectacular combination. If kids want to bully someone, they'll find literally any excuse to do it. Unless it's to Carrie, then it's definitely because she's just too unique in every way.

Also no way her little Disney scene crying on the floor with Joel actually happened, she just imagined it in her head.

Feeling you in Canada. Our snow was finally gone like 2 weeks ago. We are just getting baby leaves on trees. I want to enjoy the spring/summer Carrie! Not everyone is a house mouse who watches disney all day and doesn't experience the outdoors.
We had one day of sunshine so far this year for approx 1 hour and it’s been cold/raining since Christmas. When I say I hate these posts.

Why are they crying again? They need help, from a psyschologist or a psychiatrist.
Somewhere you just know they will have self filmed the crying.

Sobbing on the floor. The pair of them? If this was Britney Spears someone would’ve sent a professional round by now

Poor kid when it’s older, crying to mum or dad and instead of solving the problem like parents should, they join in.

Even at the risk of being forever banned from the topic by you guys, but if Joel moved in on the first date, did they also do IT on the first night? 😂 I'm just imagining Carrie realizing he's just terrible at it, but feeling too silly to tell him to move out again, and now they're married (twice) and have a child 😅
By “it” you mean whipped out the turkey baster of course.

Carrie probably shed one single tear and Joel did his weird sniffle - but sure, full on sobbing sitting on the floor. She really strikes me as a 14 year old who needs embellish every little situation that happens to her so she can seem more interesting and cool on the Internet. She should've grown out of that by now (or rather, about ten years ago) And if they both DID sit there sobbing.. go and get some help. It's not healthy and it's not great for the baby if it continues.

Also, can you imagine being a fan of someone and congratulating them on their anniversary? It's so beyond weird, why the duck should I care about anyones anniversary if I don't know them personally? Her fans really take parasocial to another level

Gonna preface this with I haven’t had a child myself but I was a nanny for a few years and worked with some very new mums (like 8 weeks PP)
Carrie- we know you read here. Please, please, go talk to your doctor about PPD. It is not normal to be full on sobbing about everything. Your doctor can help you. Yes, they’ll probably suggest that you need to get off your phone and go for a walk every day. They’re not being meanie haters. Mums who develop PPD/PPA often become extremely agoraphobic because of the anxiety of bringing baby with them. Unfortunately the only way to get through that is to do it with a support network (and your sponsored pram) put Mabel in it and go for a daily jaunt around the block and get off social media. We don’t need to know every time Mabel has a tit or breastfeeds. Give the girl a chance at privacy. And while you’re at it just throw Johns phone away

He looks like someone that is holding a baby for the first time in his entire life.
He reminds me of when Rachel held Ben like a football in friends! How old is she now, six weeks? I remember when my neice was born and my brother in law struggled to hold her as he’d never held a baby before. That lasted about a day. I can imagine Mabel crying and Carrie instantly saying “she needs her mumma, daddy”, before whipping her off him.
It’s a little sad that they’ve not been out to eat with Mabel yet. I think most new parents enjoy getting fresh air, walking around the park and village, then going for lunch.
Maybe she’s nervous going out on her own, I know a lot of new mums worry that their baby will cry and people will stare (any new mums on here, please don’t worry, most people will empathise if this happens!) I think it doesn’t help that she doesn’t really have many friends to go out with. It makes you wonder how close she is to Gi, as surely she would help?

To play devil’s advocate here, following her split from Oliver, and say if she hasn’t met Joel, what would her life had been like?

Why are we going straight to speculation that she has PPD? Carrie has been ‘sobbing’ about the littlest things for years.

I think she would have just found another person who had an obsession with her and married them. It seemed like she bounced straight from one relationship into another a few times, maybe before the relationship ended. I think she’d have probably accepted more touring jobs, unless she had done exactly as she has with Joel, got married and had a baby in a rush.

Yeah, not liking the PPD assumption.

Carrie is a spoilt drama queen (who’s a terrible actress). She’s ridiculous in every way. I shed a tear at packing most of my youngest baby’s things up for the charity shop, knowing that I wasn’t having any more. It was a moment, I got over it. No sobbing. She needs to get an actual life đŸ«

I think a lot of mums feel emotional after giving birth as hormones are all over the place. I don’t think it helps that she’s seemingly not socialising much, and just sitting in her pyjamas trying to get Mabel into a strict routine đŸ™„đŸ€“ It’s overwhelming at the start, especially if you’re not used to being at home much. She probably feels jealous that joel gets to perform in the west end every night. She’s also used to having Scott 24/7, and he’s on tour too. As she documents so much and makes a huge deal when she does go out, I definitely think she’s struggling to go out on her own. I know the midwives and health visitors to PND checks, but it starts with a questionnaire, which you could just lie and say you’re fine. Often it’s when those around you see a difference that help us sought.
It’s strange she hadn’t posted about her mum being around, and although Debbie doesn’t like being on sm, Carrie hasn’t even mentioned her helping.
