Isn't it amazing how these influencers always get loads of DMs? Sali Hughes does the same, "I got loads of DMs asking about where I got my blouse". Amazing that people send loads of DMs and don't reply *on a public platform*

Depends on your settings. Usually people who are monetizing their platform leave their DMs open though.

I think I followed Caroline for about a week, had loads of PR pals raving about her so thought i'd give it a go. Every time I opened IG her Stories looked like that and I just thought, "I can't be arsed with this" and quickly unfollowed.

What do people like about her so much? She just always looks so smug about everything?

I’m not a cat person, but I understand that cats do what they do. What I didn’t understand was why she found it necessary to post a picture the poor bird on her Instagram stories. It was in poor taste, and I found it unnecessary and odd.

Then to complain when people messaged her about it. Sorry, but you invited a negative response by posting that picture. Suck it up, and your excuses are pathetic.

I kind of get CH’s rage about the Vogue article. We might all be old enough to know that GP is full of it but I still remember taking advice from celebrities and magazines as gospel when I was a teen (toothpaste to cure spots? Lemon juice for highlights?). I wouldn’t be surprised if half their readership was made up of teens trying to feel cool and wishing they were more grown up. I haven’t bought an issue of vogue since I was about 20 and realised it was irrelevant to people with normal bank accounts whereas I lapped up the fantasy lifestyle as a teen.

Hirons herself claimed a couple of years ago she got her SPF from make-up (she said she didn't need proper SPF because she tans easily and has Native American heritage....). She's changed her opinion which is fair enough, but still...WHY SO AGGRESSIVE ALL THE BLOODY TIME?

Has Gwyneth not had work? I see fillers, subtle as they are. Anyway, Caroline actually left me feeling a little unsettled, I know she's passionate but I'm sure this could have been delivered much better and had the same impact. Why not just reach out to Vogue and Paltrow and educate them rather than a public takedown. It's times like this that I think Hirons needs a break from the Internet, all this playing to the gallery screams of something happening under the surface.

I don't she has always looked the same to me. As for CH a big difference to the vlogs she used to do with Ruth C.

Sam Bunting? The ‘cosmetic’ dermatologist

Sam Bunting has no dermatology qualifications. You can look her up on the medical register. She is not a skin specialist like say, Dr. Andrew Birnie who runs the Altruist sunscreen company while being a fully qualified and working NHS dermatology consultant who does MOHS surgeries amongst other things. She shills on the back of of her basic medical training and her own looks. She also is one of those doctors interested in media work rather than medicine. I have no idea why women are so drawn to people like her who do basic medical training then decamp immediately to private sector where they administer to the needs to the wealthy and vain and not the sick. If people want dermatology, they need to get a referral to a real dermatologist, not go trotting off to people like Sam Bunting whose goal is to divest you of a lot of money for no better advice than a GP can give you (and that's duck all usually) while trying to shill her own cleanser etc.

2014 isn’t that long ago. Medical thinking hasn’t changed since then. Everyone knew the dangers of not protecting your skin in 2014. So what’s changed? Being cynical I could say she is now paid by certain brands to promote sunscreen, and she wasn’t back then?

Equally I'd imagine she's realised with here level of retinol and acid usage she'll have no face left if she doesn't.
She won't want to advertise it as a learning for her though so she'll ignore and deny any evidence that she once wants evangelical about SPF
