I quietly follow this thread but had yet to comment. The harassment of beauty business to make donations, and then to pit them against one another is absolutely crass.
Trinny donated £25,000, no doubt under pressure from that vile, crass witch and get Trinny is often poked fun at by Caroline, dragged for her skincare by Caroline and referred to a few times as a lunatic. She didn’t even send her a book until Trinny called her out that she didn’t receive one. who needs enemies with friends like Caroline.

I agree with everything CH is doing re the beauty industry in principal and I am not a fan of our government at all, however there is something so cringeworthy about the whole 'we're coming for you' thing. Er...okay Caroline, and what exactly are you going to do when you get there? I totally believe in protests and mobilising and doing what you can etc, but the government really does hold all of the cards at the moment - this isn't a normal situation at all. She can collect all of the photos of blokoes having their noses waxed and pissed up people in pubs that she wants, I think rather than opening salons its much more likely that the government will shut down barbers and pubs again.

I also want to bash my head against the wall every time she does the whole 'raising my tone' thing. It wasn't even said about her originally!! She's latched on to something and thought 'that's me! that's my thing' and now won't let it drop. She acts like she's the only woman brave enough to say x,y and z. Her insta story earlier about 'not getting the memo' about men telling us what to do - you're not the first feminist, Caroline.

The barbers are at fault if they are undertaking procedures outwith COVID guidance - is that not what she’s saying about nasal waxing?

@Shineyshine has articulated perfectly how I feel on this. Individual cases should be reported correctly, she's posting pictures of customers faces on her social media channels which is just plain wrong. She is not a watchdog.

I honestly think at this point that Caroline is one of those people that gets off on outrage.

Does she really think Boris Johnson and his ilk give a tit about her and the plight of the beauty industry?, they should but they don’t.

Thorn in their side? She should remember Johnson didn’t sack Cummings despite coming under incredible pressure , does she really think she can force his hand single handedly because that’s what she implying.

Of course the salons should be allowed to return to work as normal with proper PPE and if they are allowed to reopen on the 15th you can bet your eye lash tint she’ll take credit.

I wonder how Jim copes with her? He seems so laidback and chill while Caroline is like a dog frothing at the mouth. I mean, he obviously loves her and we don’t know about their personal lives but the dynamic is so interesting to me lol oh vey!

I hope that any company that has felt obliged to donate because they are being called out by CH to support "their" industry is equally as supportive to their own employees should the worst happen.
I completely agree the government have handled this appallingly but I fail to see why skincare or makeup companies are being named and shamed into donating money when many if those companies will be operating very differently than before to enable them to save every single penny possible to make sure their own employees are protected. And she should be stating very clearly that she will no longer be accepting free or cut price treatments, if she continues to hypocritically take on one hand while giving out a sermon on the other she's going to lose credibility.And she's still posting unsubtitled stories which is not inclusive.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Especially smaller indie brands, those donations are the equivalent of a few staff members monthly wage.
I'd say shes referring to companies house records with regards to figures, they're easily accessible by anyone.

I agree with the post above, they’re more likely to see the barbers’ pictures in the newspapers (think the DM has a piece today?) and say the whole lot looks dangerous and shut everything down again. Everything except full medical procedures carried out by doctors and nurses. She could end up doing more harm than good if she’s not careful.

The continual excitement of who has donated what, and slagging those who haven't makes me feel uncomfortable.
People taking credit for noticing Oskia have donated a grand like they're responsible.

There was a post this morning, saying if they're are freaks that haven't donated it must be because of the cost and let's make a way that everyone can pay a quid (if the £5 minimum is too much)

I've not donated. Its not to do with not affording the £5.

I think I saw that post too! The effort they want to make, like setting up a bank account or Paypal, pooling it together, all that rit... it was vomit inducing, tbh. Aren’t their tongues rubbed sore and raw from all that a licking?? Like seriously, don’t be performing gymnastics to donate if you can’t, or want to even! Caroline won’t be kicking your door in FBI style if us mere mortals (not influencers, businesses, etc) didn’t contribute.
