I thought she was qualified!!?? She isn’t!!??
I don't have an issue with homes. People have to earn a living whether it is employed or self employed. What grinded my gears was her inconsistency in what she raved about caught on it was all paid ads but not really sold in that way. She also gave the impression she has qualifications she does not.

Just had a browse of the group. I don’t understand why people buy things first and *then* ask how to use it? They'll inevitably wodge into their routine alongside several other conflicting items and then wonder why their faces fall off. Whhhy?!

@MinnieGrant I may have misunderstood but your use of 'wish' implied to me that you hoped people would stop discussing the second house here.

I guess I just think its possible to both question her qualifications and her products and her almost out of date kits AND judge her for not talking about her 2 million pound country home.

I thought she was qualified!!?? She isn’t!!??
Not as qualified as she'd like you to think!

No fan of CH (was once upon time) and nod along to everything posted here but I’m not sure I’ve ever copped onto what the problem with the 2nd home is? Or just a representation of how much money she’s making from people?
It‘s a clear indication of how much she’s making, but to be fair to her so are loads of other influencers. The fact she has kept quiet about the purchase when she still telling people everything about the family, seemed sneaky, secretive yet her USP was that she was an open book, and very honest.

For me, the biggest problem was to see a working class, Labour voter, a self professed raving leftie, buying a second home. More demand for homes pushes up the price for everyone and all those people who buy another place “to relax at the weekend“ mean that it’s another property taken out of the supply chain and prices go up. Land is such a limited resource in this country, we are one of the most densely populated countries in the western world per square foot. It creates problems in the country, leaving local workers unable to afford to buy or even rent a reasonable distance from work. I don’t blame or hate second home owners, it’s been one of the few sensible investment option for years, but it does have huge consequences and you should think a gobby leftie would have principles.

Oh, to be clear, I *do* wish people would stop bringing it up. But I know I may be in the minority, so please proceed.

When I first joined, I read the second home comments and didn’t know what they were about. I wondered if she did something illegal to get it.

Idk, there are SO many people obtaining much greater wealth than she has by doing REALLY shady things. It seems like she’s made all of her money legitimately, so I don’t get the fuss about it.

Now her constant contractions and hypocrisy? Pass the popcorn!

I mean, I get what you’re saying, but if you think she’s the only Leftie with a second (or third) home…

I’m all for women making money. It’s about d@mn time.

I just thought it was funny that in that same b!tch session after the Dermalogica Live, she said she needs to be able to feed her kids.

Her grown-@ss kids?! (Well, I suppose Max was still a minor at the time… But that would be “kid”. Singular.)

Sorry Minnie I didn’t see your post before I posted too much (must get to point quicker) about 2nd homes. But you might like it because if you agree with my logic it’s another yet example for the contradictions and hypocrisy list.

I wholeheartedly agree with this, having lived in several different parts of the U.K. which are favourable with second homers seeing communities destroyed, locals being out priced (as they are often low income areas too) plus the housing issue and land is not infinite for her to state she is a self proclaimed leftie I can’t complete the circle for this.

This makes sense. She just seems like an odd person to call out. I’m in the US, so maybe it’s different here, but even our raging liberals have multiple homes. (And not “just” £2 million…)

I guess I just see a lot of women being called out for different issues, but men get a pass.

But I don’t live there. Maybe all of your Labour Party members have single, modest homes.

She’s still a tw@t though.

Yes wealthy Labour people are THE worst, but she Identifies as ‘raving leftie’ not a champagne socialist. I used to work for a large U.K. plc, boss was a Labour peer meaning he donated £££ to them. The company’s tax reduction policies were so aggressive that sometimes they had to fudge the figures so that they could be seen to pay ‘enough‘ Corporation Tax. Amazon weren’t the first! Boss would push the team to find more tax savings every year. The men doing this were all Labour Party members and all received very large salaries and bonuses to carry out his orders. So no Nellie is not alone but she wants people to think she’s a Corbynite when she’s actually an old school Blairite.

Sorry, I‘m going try to limit my future posts to 10 words or something. I hate it when newbies hog a thread and go against the posting rhythm. I might just be a hypocrite.

The problem with the 2nd home is she is trying to hide it. She did a live at her home in London and someone asked where’s the dog? Not near me . Now I could tell jim and said dog were in the mansion. It’s a massive thing to leave out .

I don’t understand why she hides it? Do we even know it's fact? All her supporters/freaks/girl fans would applaud her for working so hard. I don’t have a problem with her having another home. She’s worked for it. OK, we might not like what she does but it’s no different to what thousands of other people do. Clever marketing/selling to gullible mugs!
