After reading all the tweets and Instagram posts It’s so sad that someone can have so many “friends” yet be so alone !
I’m also wondering how many hours it will be before the #bekind is replaced with #gifted or swipe up ?

Kerry Katona has shown messages on Instagram between herself and Caroline over Christmas where Caroline was asking for help on how to deal with fathers4justice who were sending hate to Caroline. Kerry had the same from when when her ex husband died .
Say what you want about Kerry Katona but those messages to Caroline were truly trying to help her get through it

Jameela just posted this petition

This all seems too soon. No one knows the reasons why poor Caroline did this. Far too soon to make it all about yourself.
It is deeply uncomfortable reading on Twitter now - I'm avoiding it. I am no fan at all of David Walliams but omg - holding him responsible for making a stupid tasteless joke is troubling. And it also seems like people are wildly pointing the finger everywhere with their own agenda - the media, SM, the CPS, certain individuals, are all to blame.

People need to stop debating over the Caroline Flack news - i heard someone say "you can't simplify what isn't simple" how true. Two wrongs don't make a right.

Yes, you can agree what she did to her boyfriend if true was horrible. Yet you can still be sad that she felt this was the only way out. Even now, the trolls and nasty people are still out bashing her - if you think she was a bad person for what she did try to be a better person yourself. And that certainly doesn't include making jokes and nasty comments about someone who has just taken their own life.

Haven't you ever hurt someone?
With your words? Or ever been in a fight?
With a friend, family or even someone you were in a relationship with.
How do you feel now when you've done what you regret?
Ashamed? Guilty? Wishing it was something you could forgive yourself for it but you can't?
Now imagine that thing you done being spoken about by millions all over the country.
How would you feel?
Isn't there a moment in your life you'd do absolutely anything to take back?

How it must feel to be so perfect. No one is condoning violent behaviour and if she did do what has been reported it should have been dealt with accordingly without the disgusting headlines, people hounding her and her family then perhaps then this wouldn't have happened. We will never know. Just be kind.
I can safely say I have never hurt someone like this. Never has it occurred to me to bash my bf over the head with a lamp WHILE HE WAS ASLEEP and I was snooping through his phone. I am sorry she was so fearful of being convicted that this seemed a better option. She hadnt been fired from her job, and was going back for the next series. She did have mental health issues, and should have been seeing someone for help definitely. But it wasnt ITV’s responsibility to make sure she was fine. It was something occurring outside of their jurisdiction.
However, I am very shocked and saddened she died needlessly, make no mistake.

Really hope Love Island is cancelled for good now, can’t stand that awful piece of crap, it’s sets a mindless sexist bad example to young girls. I was delighted when that vile Jeremy Kyle was cancelled and I will be if LI is cancelled too. It was great when they got rid of Big Brother & Kyle so LI needs to be next. Oh and I would dearly love to see The Scum cancelled too, another shit stained piece of toilet paper, I was delighted when the News of the World folded, but The Scum is like a massive turd that just won’t flush.
Don’t Buy The Scum!

Have just seen on another thread how an influencer is using this tragedy to sell a vacuum (Lynsey Queen of Clean). So I looked on insta at Caroline Flack as a hashtag.
I am simply horrified that people are using this hashtag to try and gain followers.

Here are just a few I have spotted...they have hashtagged Caroline alongside a number of companies...really really odd behaviour. How can you use a person’s tragedy to hashtag a paint company???

the assault she was being done for was her self harming over him cheating and she got upset that he’d walked in on her doing that and threw a lamp at him. So many people have done nothing but give the poor girl shit since. She didn’t deserve any of it.

So so sad.

I just don’t get how these people who knew her take to social media to express their condolences- write a letter in private to her parents. No one just a fuck what you think or your take on it.

So she was a bully in high school, one ex with and NDA, and the assault on her current boyfriend. Yes she was very much the saint.

There must have been a very good reason why the CPS were still going ahead with her prosecution, maybe there was more on her record than the public knew about?
Again, jumping on bandwagons with absolutely no proof. I could write a Facebook post saying she only ate purple food and slept in a ball gown every night. It doesn’t make it in any way true!!

I just can’t help but feel so disturbed by the news.
To think that in her final moments she believed the world hated her, which is what it seemed. Tabloids destroyed her, we all condemned her, she lost her job and probably a lot of friends and was likely set on going to prison.

Yes it was because of her own actions....and no she shouldn’t of got away with it.
But she must have thought she deserved to die. There was no coming back from this.
And to be honest, it would of been very hard for her to come back! But that’s an awful thought.
I won’t sit here and say she was this amazing, inspirational role model because i really didn’t rate her at all. But it’s awfully tragic that she felt no other option than to erase herself from existence.

I really, really hope her ex has people close to him.
people trolled Sophie from love islands ex and he went and killed himself not long after. Hopefully history doesn’t repeat itself.
that is the worst part, committing suicide thinking everyone hated her when clearly it wasn’t the case. Her poor family, close friends..

No, but once her boyfriend withdrew the allegations I really don't think it should have been pursued. Not in the public interest. I'm so glad that when it happened to me I was allowed to withdraw my statement. It would have opened a whole can of worms for me
I'm sorry you went through that but I totally disagree that a victim can withdraw the allegation and it goes away. The reason abusers continue abusing is that no one takes them to task for it. The abuser should be punished and the victim should receive counselling. That's potentially a win win. As long as a restraining order is automic to protect the victim for as long as he or she needs to get their head somewhat sorted.
The Steph Davis relapse video is upsetting and it's also an indication that she hasn't addressed her own issues. After her ex was punished legally she was on a high at 'winning', but she never ever addressed her part in the mutual abuse. That's not healthy.
Again, my point is that you need to own your part in these things because it's all very well fooling the public and fans but you can't fool yourself in your head and it is there causing havoc and dragging you down until you face it head on and start to heal yourself. Maybe Caroline was too afraid to deal with whatever that night awakened in her. All so sad and unnecessary.

I think all these celebrities posting/getting on the bandwagon by stating how heartbroken/sad/devastated they are more than likely do not have much experience in dealing with death. It’s a hard emotion to come to terms with when you don t actually know the person but have had exposure to them through media. I am a nurse in a critical care setting and have had to deal with many patient deaths. When new staff come and experience their first death which may be unexpected, come from a tragic situation they mostly all comment that they don t how you do it day in day out. Why are nt you in tears? How can you move into looking after the next patient ? Why are nt you affected? How I explain it to them is that it’s not your grief. It’s not your right to be heartbroken/devastated. That is reserved for the family and friends. You can find the situation so very sad and have utter sympathy for the family but it is in no way about you. The family do not need you to part any of your sadness into them. Your job is to be a support to the family. You have a knot in your stomach for them knowing what they will be dealing with in the coming days/weeks/years but you , yourself, are not heartbroken. I think these people who did not know Caroline but are outpouring their grief have the lines blurred a little. It may be they have never had to deal with a death - tragic or not and emotions are all mixed up. Of course we have seen that some have their own agenda. It’s is an utterly tragic situation and so very sad. X

To actually go and commit suicide is extremely difficult. As someone who has been extremely suicidal and came so close to taking their own life, I couldn't do it. I was scared stiff. For Caroline and many other people who have committed suicide, they can't see a way out for their pain, suicide is the only solution. They will be enduring their darkest days, having suffered with pain to their death. Cancer and sepsis are physical illnesses, don't try to minimise the pain of someone mentally just because it isn't visible, it is uncalled for.
I totally agree with this. It would have taken an extreme amount of courage to end her own life. She must of been in a really bad place.
Mental health isn't the same as cancer. Cancer is in its own court. Both horrible but different.

I hope Lewis is doing ok. The abuse he's getting on Instagram right now is shocking. I hope his family and friends look after him otherwise he'll end up the same way

You’ve worded it so well, she was in such a shit situation (her own doing) but it was just shit wasn’t it. I hope my last post didn’t come across as saying she deserved to die!! I don’t think she did, just saying that people were entitled to comment on her behaviour and it wasn’t ‘trolls’ or ‘the media’ who led to her suicide.

Just a really sad situation. Really sad, really shitty. No ones fault, just a series of bad life decisions really.
Absolutely, its shit all round.
It is also quite hard to write without wording it wrong.
I feel that if the abuse allegations hadn’t come out and she was still continuing to abuse Lewis and get away with it she would still be alive now, happy, getting on with life, presenting LI and so on.

People are saying, I hope you have found peace, I hope your demons have gone and so on it’s seems A little...I actually don’t even know what word I want to use.

I cannot deny that she was in a very, very dark place. Of course she was. Who wouldn’t?

But it was because of what happened. HER actions, HER behaviour and this wasn’t a first. It wasn’t a mistake. This was her unfortunately.

I don’t know how this could have been avoided, I really don’t.
I don’t think any amount of rehab or supportive friends and family around her would take away the reality of her situation.

The reality was shit, the ending was shit. It really is awful.

For what it’s worth, from the moment this thing started (the assault back in December), I said I believed CF had borderline personality disorder. Obviously I didn’t know her but a quick look at the symptoms appears to explain her behaviour:
Signs and symptoms
  • Fear of abandonment. People with BPD are often terrified of being abandoned or left alone. ...
  • Unstable relationships. ...
  • Unclear or shifting self-image. ...
  • Impulsive, self-destructive behaviors. ...
  • Self-harm. ...
  • Extreme emotional swings. ...
  • Chronic feelings of emptiness. ...
  • Explosive anger.

My best friend was diagnosed with this he ticked everything on that list, sadly took his own life nearly 4 years ago now, I was also the one who found him. I've thought about nothing else but Caroline today. I can't help the sick feeling, I know I didn't know her personally but when you hear of a hopeless waste of life like this you're in the trenches with everyone else who has been affected by suicide in some way. ♥

Iove island viewers giving their suggestions on twitter as to how highly trained professionals should do their job isn't helping anyone. Keep their ideas of petitions to themselves.
Why is no one blaming the drugs? Celebs that take a lot of class a drugs do often die young, it's not a coincidence.
All the people on my FB that are sharing to be kind are the bitchist, the ones I keep at arm's length. I don't trust the kind of people that post these memes.
