She's always said 'dementia home' when referring to her nan's residential home 😠
I’m going to babfend now and I bloody hate myself for it. There are some nursing homes that specialise in dementia/Alzheimer’s and manly take patients with that diagnosis and have specific staff that are used to caring for patients with it (I only know because it’s bloody hard to get a loved one into them as they are few and far between and I’m trying to find one that will be able to take my father in law as he’s deteriorating rapidly from vascular dementia and Alzheimer’s and I’m not ashamed to say we are struggling)

however she’s a sodding muppet that clearly thinks every nursing/care/residential home is for people with dementia.
Honestly I’ve never met a person that boils my blood and piss simultaneously like that freak does.

For someone who always talks about her beloved nan who sadly had dementia she’s pig ignorant and very disrespectful to both sufferers of the horrible disease and the staff who care and support them 😢maybe she needs to google alcohol induced dementia (ARBD Babs) and cop on one night

Imagine Erin at the residential with the rest of her class, and a random person walks up to her to say hello. Afterall, babs is always saying if you see them say hello. She may mean it as a “say hi to me no matter who I’m with so I can look famous” but so many people have seen far too much of Erin. Maybe this will be the wake up Emma needs (doubtful).

The woman has no clue and no empathy. Honestly like most (& I’ve shared with you all before) I’ve had a horrendous 18m this with my FIL is the icing on a massive pile of 💩. We will get there. I’m just so mad that so many people are in similar positions to me and she has this massive platform that she could actually raise awareness of something she proclaims is close to her heart.
but no we get “oh it’s upsetting here’s a tw if you work with the elderly” the show is about early onset Alzheimer’s and the horrendous battles the staff had covid when twats like her still continued to flaunt the rules.
And the dirty cow ate her dinner in her pyjamas, split it down her and we all know she hasn’t changed and will sleep in them! Pisstramp

Oh, the irony of Babs watching a TV show based on a care home during the outbreak of covid pandemic.. particularly when she went round flouting the rules so many times 🤬🙄

Calling a pre tingo on her giving "big love" to key workers and making the TV show all about her with her nanny Joyce passing away just before lockdown and how inconvenient it was for her - don't get me wrong, I do sympathise with anyone who was restricted with funerals with the death of a loved one.. but we all know Babs will make out she has been through the equivalent of the care home/NHS/front line staff who have seen first hand the impact of covid on patients and deaths.. because everything is about her you know 🙄

Is a residential a school trip where you stay away for a bit?
Yes I think so - I don't have kids and don't live anywhere near the Midlands, and I've never heard the word residential used like this, but went away for school / Brownie / Guide trips quite a bit when I was younger. I'm guessing it's either a local or modern term. Or maybe (absolutely the most likely) I'm just extremely dumb 😎✌

I'm in the NW and don't have kids either. We just used to call it a school trip. You're not dumb - or if you are, we are going down together 😁

We call it a residential here in the east but it’s classic Babs just assuming people know what she’s talking about when in reality a lot probably have no clue!

I know there are care homes that specialise in caring for residents with dementia.
Calling it a dementia home feels like the wrong term for me, like when people call guide dogs ‘blind dogs’.

However, I live in the West Midlands and we call the year 6 trip away for a week a residential too!

I would never call it a dementia home either I don’t know it feels wrong somehow like your dehumanising the residents and only notice the dementia.

I’m in Brum and when my oldest went on her first trip it was camp (in school time last yr of jnrs) 6 yrs later by the time her brother went it was a residential trip been the same ever since 🤷🏼‍♀️

The fact that babs has summed up help in the only way babs know, generic, vague and extremely insincere has really pissed me off. Such a moving programme and that’s all babs can come up with! 🙄

Yeah, I don't know why cos it's just a school trip but my daughter is going on one soon (same age, probably same place!) It's like a outwood bound thing, canoeing, orienteering, camp fires etc.
We used to call it school camp, which seems to be a perfectly logical name. Residential is a silly name. Surprised she didn’t try to ask if she’d made that word up!

I haven’t felt emotionally ready to watch it yet because there’s some things going on in my family that are hard to deal with in a similar way. When I do watch it, I’ll make sure I’m not half-pissed on tinned cocktails like Babs was last night. She is such an immature idiot! Why did she watch it? It’s not about real housewives or young pregnant women, it’s not really her type of programme at all,

The word babs is looking for is "Nursing home". Meaning people who have needs that require a full time registered nurse present like dementia, MS and other illnesses. A residential home is where the person is generally elderly but not ill requireing a nurse and can come and go as they please but with the option for company/help when required. (My sister is a nurse in a nursing home, and they look after lots of people of all different ages with all different illnesses. Babs has no clue because she bearly visited nanny Joyce when she was unable to recall who babs was anymore. She didn't see the point anymore. And only went for a few photo ops of the 4 generations of women. Babs is a bleep.)

Because it is trending on twitter and she has to jump on a bandwagon.

I'm going to do my first tingo and predict that on Wednesday or Thursday she mentions or buys snow fairy products by lush. We all know what a basic witch she is.

I'm in The Midlands and it's always been called a 'residential trip' when you sleep over.
Year 6 residentials are usually only 2 nights, 3 days though.
