The more I look at the TU photo the more uncomfortable I feel - I live in sports bras especially at the moment working from home (low impact ones I save the high impact ones for when they’re needed) and if I was spilling out of them like that it would just not be comfortable... it’s such a bad advert for their sports wear because I’m guessing most people would want to workout in it and there’s just no way Babs can when it doesn’t fit her properly.

poor kid, i bet he was delighted that he won, but as always hiss success would have been overlooked - babs saw *content* flashing before her eyes, and obviously whipped out the camera immediately. i doubt he even got a well done or a hug, because babs was too busy bragging on SM about "her" win. it's so sad that ethan has had to learn that the only way to earn his mother's attention is to create content, but once the photo is taken, he'll be disgarded in favour of netflix and that momentary flicker of joy will disappear from his eyes.
just duck off babs, and let ethan enjoy his achievement, without diverting the focus and attention on yourself.
i mean, she didn't even "make" the outfit! it's not like she was up late last night sewing up a creative masterpiece! she literally shoved him in a pair of pyjamas - hopefully not the ones he slept in last night, but sadly he only has babs' example to follow - and whacked a dressing gown on him. obvs that's the character ethan wanted to go as, and it's great that he was happy - and i'm not implying that mothers can only create great costumes if they hand sew them! - but equally, most mothers wouldn't attempt to steal the credit when their little boy won an award for his costume! she'd only deserve that kind of praise if she'd been slaving away creating it for weeks! she will literally do anything to steal the limelight, even from her eight year old son.
i bet she's FUMING that the babettes are leaving comments congratulating ethan on his win, and not commending her on her costume making skills.

I actually don’t believe he won... The school should be ashamed of themselves if it’s true. Not every parent is in a position to fund outfits, night workers etc with no time. Seems sketchy to me, my LOs school would never ‘punish’the disadvantaged kids like this...No doubt if Triple Threat had won we would have been inundated with past outfits and how she’s always been such an amazing reader that picking one book has been her hardest decision

I know it’s MY issue, and MY jealousy, and it’s not actually Babs’s fault, or anyone else who is quite rightly excited that rule of 6/2 households mixing is coming so they can see family.......but HOW many times is she going to mention it?? Seriously. She’s bought bunting. She wants to garden over the weekend. She’s going to see her parents. Ok, lucky you, have a super time, but stop banging on about it when so many people still can’t see their loved ones because of their job or distance, or won’t be able to see them ever again
I guess Sunday evening we’ll get her insincere “so lucky I can see my parents tomorrow. Sorry if you can’t” *smug face* And what’s even more ridiculous is that we know she’s been out walking and shopping with her mum all the way through anyway!
