Brogan's not clever enough to come up with original ideas - she's seen how well Lucy Wood does out of books and wants in on that. Nvm that Lucy studied literature (not that this is a requirement, but does affect how she analyses/reviews books in a way that Brogan could never) and doesn't choose what to read based on what cartoon is on the cover.

#booktok has also really taken off in the last year or so, Brogan is 18 months too late as usual.

She’s always been a follower, I’ve seen her copy other influencers more than having any original idea of her own - im pretty sure she’s just incapable of original thought at this point.
She lacks a lot of personal development skills

I really felt for Benji when he was talking about the heart surgery. Benign tumour or not open heart surgery is serious stuff and Brogan couldn't have looked less interested. When talking about meeting the surgeon and Brogan said "they're so talented" no Brogan - surgeons are not 'talented' they don't discover they're great at doing operations, they're experts that have studied the human anatomy for years!
